Am I giving you all too much information?
WarriorCat6311 27 Aug, 2023 @ 10:33am
I was looking for this! Fun Fact: Southern Pacific Railway GS-4 Class Steam locomotive 4449, built in 1941, IS MY FAVORITE TRAIN! Sadly, I have never been on the train, but I have seen it at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center! I live at the east edge of Gresham, OR.
joni56 31 Aug, 2020 @ 3:29am
is it possible to switch the locomotive from rear to front??
APR1604 18 May, 2020 @ 1:05am
Great locomotive! Great train! But very long for train stations. Very long... :(
JblackTRUCK 16 Jan, 2020 @ 4:29pm
avoiding paying a royalty to Union Pacific by not using Southern Pacific and Coast Daylight? O.o
chefbearsteve 8 Jun, 2019 @ 11:16pm
I have to say very nice job I have to ask are you planning on doing any more of the seven Pacific GS services engines like the freedom train Or the war baby coloring But I do have to say you did a great job I love it :steamhappy::steamhappy:

Thanks!

It's not a CPU heavy game... I realized this when i moved on from the scam that were intel Core i5 4 core no hyperthreading processors... In the 2018 era where everyone and their gran has a 16 thread machine,, cities skylines rarely uses more than 25% of the total cpu power avialable to it.
bsquiklehausen  [author] 23 Aug, 2018 @ 8:15pm
@Withered GrayK - As it says in the description, this is based off the Southern Pacific Daylight.
50n10_M49R 23 Aug, 2018 @ 6:54pm
@bisquik. This is Southern Pacific right?
Kuros Paladin 6 Jul, 2018 @ 7:50am
Oh....my....goodness. This has always been my favorite passenger train. Thank you!

Now, if I find you have created the Chessie System cat livery on an EMD GP 38-2, that covers freight!
themeatballhero 26 Apr, 2018 @ 8:02pm
hey there, saw you only make american trains, any chance on UP 844?
qazwax01 18 Mar, 2018 @ 10:25am
What about the Orient Express from Murder on the Orient Express?
Interstellar13 7 Feb, 2018 @ 8:03am
good to know, probably mods being weird with this
bsquiklehausen  [author] 4 Feb, 2018 @ 9:49am
@Kaidenkricket - Unfortunately I have no control over the direction it goes in, so some go backwards. This is normal game behavior.
Interstellar13 3 Feb, 2018 @ 10:14pm
why does it go backwards for me?
Battlespark 29 Jan, 2018 @ 1:05pm
OMG MY FAVE! YES!
Cave Johnson 29 Jan, 2018 @ 10:47am
Wow, amazing work. this is only one of like 2 streamliners ive found on the workshop. keep up the good work, i hope to see more streamlined locos in the future.
bsquiklehausen  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 8:29pm
@Al Masri Cat - Catenary Replacer has the option to remove the cables. Glad you're enjoying the train!
Al Masri Cat 14 Jan, 2018 @ 5:20am
That is a beautiful train. Works great for rural mining towns.

Question: What mod did you use to remove the cables and masts from the railway?
bsquiklehausen  [author] 5 Jan, 2018 @ 9:06am
@Alainmonk

Great suggestions, though I really only make American trains! I just don't really think European trains are particularly interesting.
Alainmonk 5 Jan, 2018 @ 7:46am
Hey ! I love your trains so I would like to see these in the game ! It would be awesome !

slicknick924 22 Dec, 2017 @ 6:18pm
Could you make a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy? That would be awesome.
no one 10 Dec, 2017 @ 6:29pm
I shall wait with baited breath, then!
bsquiklehausen  [author] 10 Dec, 2017 @ 6:24pm
@Eugen Bold - or just wait a week or so! :)

The video alone makes me want to learn Blender and C:S asset creation so I can create Pere Marquette #1225 (aka, "The Real Polar Express"). Awesome job!
PizzaGamingEpic 9 Dec, 2017 @ 11:16pm
whats the rail mod?
Wettus 28 Oct, 2017 @ 4:44am
That is a true work of art, it such a shame that you cant get the parts to move it would be perfection its self then.
Quad Al 13 Oct, 2017 @ 5:00am
This is cool! 4440 used to run out of my hometown as a dinner train. My friend was trained as a one of the backup engineers for this locomotive. He never did get to run it alone but he was taught how to. She still rolls through the Columbia River Gorge now and then and I get to see her. Thanks for making this! I'd LOVE to see more!:steamhappy:
PhizzleGfunk 12 Oct, 2017 @ 12:09pm
really enjoyed the video with this, thank you!
Kermit (GER) 8 Oct, 2017 @ 8:02am
Ein grossartiger Zug, ich liebe diesen Zug und ein tolles Maya-Tut. ;)

Absolutely love it!

I love this train but it is relatively "too" long for some stations, there are plans to make a "shorter" version of this beautiful train.
Thnks for sharing :steamhappy:
セルリアン 7 Oct, 2017 @ 2:35am
I'd content the Super Chief looks the best, but this is some tough competition.
ZJFishy 4 Oct, 2017 @ 5:32pm
I personally think this looks amazing! Can't wait for prop versions (rail museum in my city's future?)! Right now I am only going to use this on a so-called 'heritage railway,' with old stations and only one train.
bsquiklehausen  [author] 4 Oct, 2017 @ 6:39am
@scoobyduped - Great ideas! American light rail has been on my radar for a long time (specifically VTA and Muni, actually), as have California Cars/Surfliners (and maybe the SC-44 locos). The GG-1 is also something I hope to get made at some point, but more vintage stuff may be further off after this streamliner and the 20th Century Limited coming out in a few weeks.
gamebori 4 Oct, 2017 @ 2:22am
Beautiful train!
The length of the train is not unrealistic. The train stations have issues with other realistic trains as well. So the length of the train is not the issue. The train stations and the train AI are wrong.
RED /(Weber)\ 4 Oct, 2017 @ 12:12am
I agree with LittleMikey, the train is way too long.
scoobyduped 3 Oct, 2017 @ 10:45pm
OMG, this is gorgeus, awesome work!

Okay, a few ideas: Dieselized version of this with ALCO PA's; PRR Broadway Limited with a GG1; Amtrak CA inspired Citylink consists; "classic" freight trains (SP black widow, F units or early GP's); american light rail vehicles (thinking like San Jose VTA or San Francisco Muni Metro).
LittleMikey 3 Oct, 2017 @ 6:50am
Even if it looks a bit silly I'm sure people will still use it!. I want to use these trains in a functional city so I need them to not block the entrances of my train stations xD
bsquiklehausen  [author] 3 Oct, 2017 @ 6:16am
@LittleMikey - I'll think about it! Configuring trains in the asset editor is one of my least favorite parts of the whole thing, and I am afraid the train might look stupid when the length gets cut down even more (it's already only 1/2 the length of the real deal).
LittleMikey 3 Oct, 2017 @ 6:09am
This looks amazing! Although it looks like it's too long to fit in stations, can you make a shorter version that fits in the standard station length?
Connie (she/her) 2 Oct, 2017 @ 7:45pm
are you planning on making the mu cars anytime soon?
Warrior_359 2 Oct, 2017 @ 5:57pm
beautiful
IrresponsibleCaptNathan 2 Oct, 2017 @ 5:29pm
Fantastic!
Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:45pm
nice! Thanks!
bsquiklehausen  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:45pm
@Tesla66 - Pre, of course.
Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:43pm
The 20th Century limited is still a cool idea? May I ask, is it the pre, or post diesel one?
bsquiklehausen  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:38pm
@Tesla66 - Current hopeful (and optimistic) plans include the 20th Century Limited, and the Super Chief. The CA Zephyr would be great, but IMO it would be too visually similar to the Super Chief, so I may skip it altogether.
