Great suggestions, though I really only make American trains! I just don't really think European trains are particularly interesting.

I love this train but it is relatively "too" long for some stations, there are plans to make a "shorter" version of this beautiful train.

The length of the train is not unrealistic. The train stations have issues with other realistic trains as well. So the length of the train is not the issue. The train stations and the train AI are wrong.
Okay, a few ideas: Dieselized version of this with ALCO PA's; PRR Broadway Limited with a GG1; Amtrak CA inspired Citylink consists; "classic" freight trains (SP black widow, F units or early GP's); american light rail vehicles (thinking like San Jose VTA or San Francisco Muni Metro).
