You can only play 4v4 with at least 2 human players verses in locations 4 & 8. AI can't occupy these start locations. Because it wasn't originally designed for 8 player maps.

If you are adept at modding I believe it is possible to add the necessary script to the starting spots for AI to work. I looked at Modding, but others were releasing a steady flow of mods. So I stuck to maps and made them compatible with the mods.

That's a shame, great work though the map looks amazing, I won't be playing it cause I can't compstomp 4v4, but I'll give it a like for your effort :)

Krauser thank you. I have fixed the problem so it should work now. Although it has the transitional weather that I was tinkering with added. If this causes game crashes I'll remove it.

Victory Point mode in the works. I currently have a second version of map that is playable but trying to make this one available as Victory Point so all game modes can be played. Once I figure it out all my maps will have VP mode added.

I know what you mean. Thanks for the compliment. It will be good when new races become available. This is the 1st game I have contributed too so I would like to see it get better. But I'm not blind to it's flaws I'm just more forgiving and patient then others.

Thanks man, I adore your maps and look forward to playing the new mode on them. It's a pain that not even the default maps are compatible with custom modes, as of yet there are literally no maps on which to play victory points. It's like one step forward, two steps back sometimes, you know?

I only found out about the victory point mod not long ago and subscribed to it. After I have a game to see how it works and how to implement it. After I'll definitely add it to all of my compatible maps.

A partial solution to the AI problem is to move the player slot to number 4. AI in slots 1-3 function fine even if there are 4 in total on one team.

A question I have is that there has recently been a victory mode point developed with the mod tools: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1170211683

Have you any interest in adding compatibility for this mode with your maps? The game mode system being what it is, a newly made game mode makes no difference because maps need to be set by the creators to be compatible.

power core works. and its amazing on this map. thats a cool design where u placed the shield generator as well as the turrets and power core. man if u can make more maps ur adding so much content.

Yeah I checked all the map files and it says 8 players, 2 teams. Maybe if we notify the developers of this nicely they may release a small patch to fix it.

Because of this once I publish my currently in development 4v4 map. I'll stop making them until then.

As mentioned by Godseyeview try normal annihilation mode.

There does seem to be an issue with AI not engaging when in the 4th and 8th slot. It happens on The Clash as well regardless of game mode.

@Jazz-Sandwich I didn't test if 4v4 works I just remember reading about an older map doing it. I can't play 4v4 matches. Because my computer starts struggling during late stage 3v3 matches but that doesn't mean others can't.
I will see if I can resolve that issue.

Excellent map, really well made. I was delighted to see that you could scroll down the list of players to show a 4th and 8th slot. Unfortunately it looks like an AI placed in those positions does nothing, but I don't know if anything can be done about that.
