The fix was simple, let the AI start with 3 planets each with a level 1 space station, barracks, light factory and a mining facility.
I also added some pirates in, literally just 2 planets on either side of the map to keep it balanced. It worked perfectly, seems the AI just cannot handle expanding from 1 planet. It needs some threats around it and some starting resources. If you want me to join the Discord and discuss what I did in detail just let me know!
Unfortunately, I don't see what could cause this issue and I don't really have any solutions to provide right now :-(
If you want to try, you could always join the Discord provided in the description and ask there, some people might be able to help you from experience (this happened for another issue not so long ago).
I just have one problem with it and it's that it's always a gamble whether a save file works or not, I've lost quite a few hours of progress on my game because of it. The game loads for a little bit and it shows me the galactic map but a few seconds after it just crashes. I've read multiple reports of some similar occurrences here however nothing really seems to work as a solution 100%.
I never save during battles, only on the gc map, and no units are moving from my end, while I also try to save whenever the enemy units aren't moving either.
If you encounter crashes in multiplayer, it might be related to a lot of things though... if you have persistent issues feel free to write about them here or on Discord (where I usually reply faster and more frequently).
It is very intriguing to enslave Genosians and Twi'leks (if they're commandos, regular twi'leks would be boring), but that's impossible to do and reach other planets that would fulfill the requirements to do so.
I like the location, I understand wanting to "disclude" the Consortium, but it makes it VERY frustrating to play.
Multiplayer should work but if you experience crashes it might be due to various factors, like connection quality. Maybe also both verify the game files integrity and reinstall the mod, just to make sure.
You can play the "LAGFEST" map and you will have the Consortium AI enabled. Other minor factions will also have some level of AI enabled though, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
