I can confirm Vlad has the annoying light beam on him.
Find the 'aura_vfx' column. All the heroes have 'wh_main_generic_character_aura' simply delete this/replace it with a blank cell and save the mod.

There's no other mod (at the moment) that does this and just this, right?

@Flying Fox: I had that hope too, but vfx editing seems to be a bit more compelx than other modding: Replacing the file with one in a mod file isn't working. For more info see here:

Using a movie-file would work, but I think that many people may not want to spent the time to manually install the file.
