Observations regarding Bretonnia: armies are composed of 50% cavalry and are usually sporting their lord and 2 - 3 paladins/damsels. I also encountered a Bret army that had 8 peasant archers in it.

Just started using this mod and I’m loving it. Thus far it has really cut down on the AI spamming armies with randomly assorted top tier units in compositions that may be effective in a stat/game format but wouldn’t be “realistic”.

I just finished a battle with Skaven and it felt like it should: my army of Norscans outnumbered 4 to 1, masses of furry little rat men swarming over the battlefield, a fight of pure attrition won by my army by a hair - the ground littered with piles of dead clanrats that took up a good 1/4 of the map.

yeah i think it might be the custom units from radious actually, because SFO works fine, wish it worked tho because the empire's army composition is crazy in early game :D

10% ranged units is pretty trash for the ai, like take skaven and their weapon teams, but they will only have 2, high elves with sisters of averlorn but they will only have 2 etc. etc. mby make it 20% to 25% ???

Ive noticed some strange things too:
high elves seem to enjoy spamming lothern sea guards as they never have strong frontline.
skaven's only spam slaves with weapon teams.
dwarves love to spam great weapons.
tomb kings only build fodder infantry and never higher tier.
orc factions seem to be stuck with low tier units like goblins and never build enough high tier.
however it works superbly for the "empire" or well human factions, their armies are actually decent and perfect.
same for vampire factions, their armies are usually pretty decent but sometimes spam alot of monsters, especially crypt horrors.
dont know about the rest of the factions yet.

can you double check vampire coast? They are using many rotting leviathan and necrofex colossus in one army. Nice mod otherwise :)

Did I understand you correctly. If I put 40% Hel_infantry_heavy will the AI try to recruit units like Black Orcs ?

Yes, that is a custom entry I made to distinguish different infantry for the AI, if you give a unit Hel_infantry_heavy then the AI will consider it as a different class from Default_land_infantry_melee which is the default entry for ALL infantry. When making an army the AI will try to keep the number of units with that trait at the given percentage allowed by cdir_military_generator_template_ratios_tables

yes but AI armies need to be killed off before you see it in effect since the AI doesn't really disband units

Thanks for the very quick response time. Could you go into a bit more detail about adjusting a line. I'm unfamiliar with modding but am pretty familar with going into steam games files to tweak things.

it works for all of my own unit mods but for another persons unit mod you need to adjust a line for it to work properly.

will this work for other mods units generally speaking? Does it look towards the unit categories or did you do it all manually. Obviously for groups such as heavy, fanatic, and hybrid those all must of been manually done but what about the normal categories?
