@Karlos Danger Those horses are just stylized and have highlighted features. They are just normal black elven horses.
It's not Warhammer having an "oddball setting when it comes to aesthetics", it's CA having an oddball interpretation of the Warhammer lore when they design the models. In the lore the dark elf horses are basically just normal elven black horses.
Heh, one would think that for all the "we're really evil" theme of the dark elves that the commanding officers would have the means to enforce proper care and armor for something as valuable as a fully trained warhorse.
