Good idea. I'd still love a mod that did it automatically though.

@Neil
You can enable this mod on the first move. Save game. Disable the mod and continue playing, being an acquaintance all the factions

Any chance of a version that reveals the map but doesn't extend line of sight? Basically do what this mod does at the start of a campaign and then go back to normal.

In other words, the whole map starts off explored and all factions can contact/trade each other.

Hey. Sorry for my English) I have a strange request. You can make a similar mod, only on the contrary, it will turn on the fog of war everywhere except the player's territory (or all territory). Because the more territory is open, the longer it takes to calculate the stroke. And I always play, making a large number of alliances, so that by turn 100, 70% of the map is already open. And the calculation of the move lasts 2 minutes.
For example, the first calculations of the moves when the card is face down take 17 seconds. And with the open card mod, 1 minute. And at the late stage of the game, due to the large number of alliances, I myself have almost all the territory open. I wish I could close it while calculating the move) Could you create such a mod?)

This should be called 'First Contact' and the other one 'Full Contact', or something. It should be clear to turn this off does not bring back the FoW too.

The MOD doesn't work. It will also result in the Lord's inability to gain experience.
Uriak  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 11:23am
i've updated the mod to use an isolated script, it won't impact any other part of the game now

There is a bug If I start the votex campaing with Grand Hieronphat khatep the starting missions never show up and he cannot be moved or I can't end the turn.
After trying to start the game with the mod disable for the first turn it work but the canopy jar units cannot be recruited they can be crafted though.

Overduyn 11 Nov, 2017 @ 7:20am
Hmmm, does this requires a new campaign? Doesn't work for me in a saved game.
Uriak  [author] 7 Nov, 2017 @ 3:35pm
I'm afraid what you wish is difficult, as I said you can enable the mod for one turn, then disable it, this will have revealed the map once. There are two parallel mechanism at work here. The shroud (aka the fog of war) when removed, give you all that information (settlements, armies). The diplomacy is activated by your agents and armies line of sight. To get in contact you would need to use a mod that change this line of sight (or edit the agents_table) yourself. unfortunately that will have the same effect as lifting the fog.

The only solution is again to activate such a perk once to get in contact with everyone then disable the mod.
The fog removal feature is intended for debug mosly, or checking progress campaign wise. I'm using it myself to fine tune my campaign AI mod and see how the AI factions fare.

Thanks for getting back to me. Perhaps the mod is not correctly working on my system as intented, or we may just have a misunderstanding.

I've played several turns of both this and the other variant of the mod, and both allow me to clearly see all factions, their army compostitions, and their unit locations. I can't engage in diplomacy with them, as you said, but all other information is present.

But my question is, would you know of a way to reveal the entire map (including allowing diplomacy), whilst hiding information such as armies/units outside the line-of-sight. I'm essentially describing a campaign map akin to Crusader Kings 2.
Uriak  [author] 6 Nov, 2017 @ 10:57am
By not extending line of sight, I mean that while the fog of war is indeed lifted and show everything , you don't have actual armies/agent establishing visual contact. This means that you can't see armies compositions, and factions don't formally meet and are able to engage in diplomacy.

This is mostly a debugging/exploration tool to provinde intel about the whereabouts and activity of AI factions in the whole world.
By removing the fog of war, do you mean just disabling the visual effect? technically if the function call is made only once this is what happen, but then on the following turns, you have a "barren" map presented to you without cities/vegetation.
NotApplicable 6 Nov, 2017 @ 2:34am
The description claims not to extend the line of sight, yet you clearly see more than just the city ownership. Unmet faction armies and their units are still visible throughout the map, so why bother disabling faction events, as you still have the advantage of knowing their army location regardless? Is there a way to simply remove the campaign fog of war, whilst retaining the original challenge, ie. only showing city ownership, whilst hiding army info etc?
Uriak  [author] 26 Oct, 2017 @ 2:22pm
Do you mean on your turn you don't get vision on all the settlements? Does she get it on yours?
Lucas 26 Oct, 2017 @ 12:07pm
Unfortunately, it only shows me the territories I discovered around me.
We are rebuilding a Belegar VS Squeek campaign and we would be able to see what the opponent does (like when playing co-op).
Do you think it is possible to solve it?
Uriak  [author] 26 Oct, 2017 @ 12:05pm
I've yet to update it for the new patch but doesn't it work in multiplayer?
Lucas 26 Oct, 2017 @ 12:03pm
Hi, is there a way to remove the fog when playing 1vs1 against a friend of mine?
I would like to have the opportunity to see at least her territories in order to shoot a video gameplay and also show what the opponent does.
Thank you so much!
