Also for the Avali mech mods you have made are causing Torch recipe to be unavailable and requiring admin to craft said torches by hand on Frackin universe.

[Info] Default unlocks that are likely causing issues: ["mechlegsavalinezo", "mechlegsavaliproto", "mechlegsavali", "mechlegsavali", "mechboosteravali", "mechbodyavali"] some logs can you fix this?

Sadly, this is no longer compatible with FU atm so it definitely should be updated again.

Then I say the modding community is lucky to have a person like you around.

You're welcome. Thanks to modders like you I'm still playing Starbound after a year. I played 150 hours in vanilla game, and now I've got past 1000 hours playing this game with mods (making it my biggest play time on a single game). I'm glad to help back when I can. ;)

Oh yes, that was actually really useful! So apparently I didn't look over FU's metadata file correctly (or patiently I'll admit) and FU does indeed load after XS Mechs. That means if you use both XS and FU, you'll end up with FU's mech scripts and stats. Which means you should also just use the FU patch. I'll update the patch discussion accordingly. Thanks for the info, and thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for your answer, that's clear for me now. Here is some info from the FU change log about XS Mech, I don't know if you find something useful, but, why not :

"XS Mechs Modular edition basic functionality merged into FU.
None of the actual mech parts, etc are in (save for the refurbished leg parts so the legs don't look ridiculous).
But crawling, taller mechs, repositioned arms etc should all be doing fine and dandy.
FU also now loads *after* these mods so that they are fully compatible with XS.
Note that damage on other mods mech arms is going to be *absurd* until a patch can be released for them."

And again, great work! ^^

Oh and if you do use both XS and FU, you can have any or both patches installed. But in the future I will update mech stats to be inline with their respective patch. So if you want mech stats relative to FU, install the FU patch. If you want mech stats relative to XS, install the XS patch.

I've updated the patch discussion with some more info. You can find the link to it at the top of the description.

Hopefully I can answer all the questions below. As far as what the patch solves, there was a CTD with the XS patch, but I think I fixed that so this patch isn't necessary but...

The FU XS integrated source is different from original XS source nonetheless. FU does do some things differently including stats. I wanted to keep this mech's stats relative to vanilla and other mods, for that I needed a different patch. This also ensures I can address specific issues for FU or XS if it so happens to be in the future.

As far as using XS and FU together; there's no coordination by the mod authors to be used together. As far as my modding experience goes, I believe you'll end up with one of two scenarios depending on load order:

1. FU's mech scripts and stats for vanilla mechs
2. XS's mech scripts and stats for vanilla mechs

I'll put some of this info on the patch discussion. If there's anything I still haven't cleared up please do ask!

I tried before that patch was out, and it didn't seem to have any problem.
Also, I read your discussion about which patch to use.
If I use both FU and XS Mech Modular Edition, which patch should I use?

And while I'm at it, thanks for the mech, it's a pretty cool work!
Fireshot 8 Oct, 2017 @ 11:00am
As have I. I have not had any problems at all.
Texas Redhawk 8 Oct, 2017 @ 9:06am
I've been using XS Mechs, FU and Avali Modular Mech together myself with no problems too. Exactly what problems are there supposed to be that this patch solves?

I didn't realize they were incompatible. I've been using them together from day one.
