Incompatible game version occurs because of mod load order in the user.script.txt file found in the following directory. Whoever is hosting should copy their file data (it's not very large at all) and send it to anyone who is joining. It may take a restart or two of the game to lock in the load order but it does resolve the issue.

Been running into an issue, when trying to host a campaign for coop my buddy gets an error message saying incompatible game version. We are running the same mods (this and the expanded pack). I was just wondering if it's something on my end or not. Besides that, I'm having a great time with this mod (I really like having a ton of armies roaming around).

@ Azza_asa - it should do, the only faction that wasn't covered was the Otomo Units and any unique buildings they have.

@Xhilusius - Yea I did this mod before Otomo were actually available on the database they "Should" be the only unique units that aren't affected though and all Otomo's usual units should be fine. Sadly when i've tried to update the file since then it would crash my Shogun. No doubt inexperience on my part but still. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Fantomaser - Do you have any other mods that will affect the upkeep and price stat? Big rework mods usually do this so it might be clashing, this mod is made for people like me who want the base game experience with "better" - depending on your viewpoint - pricing.

@topmag - Don't want to tell you how to play the game but unless you are playing on Legendary then you should be outnumbering the AI in the early game while using this mod, with the the game balancing out in the mid to late game. If you aren't well, I don't know your Total War experience but that isn't what i've found with any of the factions I played with this mod.

Sorry, but this mod makes the game unplayable. I started out as Takeda, and before I managed to get a 20 unit army (and I played the best way possibly without engaing in fighting, etc), Hojo was marching at my doorstep with 2 full (20 units) armies and a 3rd army of 10 units. Can't endorse this.

well we had the expanded mod and that worked so we looked for some more but then we couldnt continu online but that was probably because we didnt start a new game now that i think of it.

@LatinvianJoint - There is a seperate mod for FOTS and it should work with mods that don't affect the Units at all like prices etc.

@autor --- actually nevermind - i find it bit more challenging and more fun as it is for me, 50% less for army upkeep is great boost for my economy so i dont care about building prices anymore ... so thanx a lot for this - my favourite mod so far ;)

@autor ... weird, now i have only units cost reduced, buldings remain the same as in vanilla ... list of mods im using: 12 turns per year, 3skill points per level - general/agents, camera zoom, diplomacy tweeks, tech-reduce mod (i dont have feeling this working - maybe here is the conflict? - gonna try with/without, increasead farm food - did try with/without - no change ...

@ioneepj - Yea the recruiting turn and prices are on the same part of the spreadsheet so that will be affecting it. Try it without the recruit time mod and see if it works.

@Cpt-British ... im trying to use this mod for shogun2 main campaign ... would like to play as Shimazu, but i dont see any change in prices ... lets say first upgrade for roads are still the same (950) etc ... im not using any other cost reduction mods ... only few reducing recruting turns or 12 turns per year and so on ... more abilitty points per upgrade generals and agents ... so no idea whats wrong :/ ... thx in advice

@author yea it turns out it was this mod called "make ships sinkable again" where instead of naval battles ending up with a bunch of battered ships it would actually sink em if you won and vice versa if you lost, if you autobattled. i talked too the guy who made it and said it must be conflicting with another mod and it turns out it was this one...:( yours was cooler tho

@Infinity State - Although it may seem like an easy thing to do, its pretty hard to do, Except for the Ikko Ikki as they have a lot of "unique" units.

This mod for instance will make Ashiguru Spearmen cheaper plus it'll do it for everyone. For the theoretical seperate mod you would need to make "Shimazu Ashiguru Spearmen" entries remove the default Ashiguru for Shimazu then change the price/upkeep for the new one, rinse and repeat for all units and factions.

The only way to really get round it would be to make the "unique" units cheaper. I once made a "Nuclear Oda" mod that didn't make it to the workshop due to how balls to the wall daft it was. Basically Ashiguru Archers were firing at the range of Artillery and at the speed of FoTS Rifles, where as their Spearmen would hold off nearly anything. While fun for 5 minutes it wasn't exactly a thrilling campaign lol.

TL;DR Way too much effort for a game that I don't play anymore, sorry :)

@WarHog - I've heard it isn't. I think the Darth Mod affects the saem numbers that me does so it will probably cause crashes.

@Sagara Yea you need to make sure you have the exact same mods activated as your friend (You don't need to actually do anything else, other than make sure you only have the same activated subscribed mods)
