im not seeing the human meat on the KOd people?
Geotanasy 22 Aug, 2024 @ 5:25pm
pretty good and functional mod, but i have a questions, is there a way to add the meat to custom NPCs from mods?
Ivy Crofthart 1 May, 2024 @ 7:27pm
Sounds like what I needed in a mod. Thanks man!
killer_klown94 16 Apr, 2024 @ 10:10am

Beep 12 May, 2023 @ 3:17pm
I made it work hahaha. Lovely people pies, selling for 372. Let's see who bites ;-)
The Raptor Factor  [author] 12 May, 2023 @ 2:57pm
Oh, forgot to tell you to add the recipe to the cooking station and to research. My bad.
Beep 12 May, 2023 @ 2:39pm
Got as far as creating a new mod, i think i merged yours (had 3 errors from vendors?), copied the meatwrap to "People pie" and changed the raw meat to your human meat ingredient.

It won't add it to the cooking stove options though, also after import. So bit stuck for now.

(PS this whole idea is rather crazy lol, can think of lots of other foods if this works, also more normal ones LOL)
Beep 12 May, 2023 @ 1:59pm
cool, i'll give it a try. now to get people to buy stuff from my stores. It's just, how crazy can you make this game ;-)
The Raptor Factor  [author] 12 May, 2023 @ 1:53pm
You could add the recipe with this mod's meat if you like. In FCS, make a new mod, then import mine into it. Then you can duplicate the meatwrap recipe and swap the meat item to human meat. Remember to activate the mod after.
That's all it takes if you feel like doing it yourself. Funny idea.

My little project was to make meatwraps / hamburgers and sell it ;-) but i cannot cook or add that meat. Do i need other mods

There was a mod that adds cannibal items, but it locks out other research......

I need to build my BurgerKing empire! Selling back the meat to other factions seem so Kenshi to :-D
D man 23 Apr, 2023 @ 5:58pm
I have no clue how, but it fixed itself! Thanks for the help tho
The Raptor Factor  [author] 23 Apr, 2023 @ 4:55pm
>I intended this mod to NOT affect playable or recruitable characters. If this occurs (or if I missed any NPCs) please let me know below. Import your saves. Enjoy!

The reason for this is that some NPCs (like hungry bandits) will loot food items, potentially killing the player outright even though they aren't meant to be cannibals. The solution is to have the player act like a cannibal... bringing back characters to a modded peeler machine that outputs the flesh. This also solves the no-stacking problem. I just can't be bothered to do it, frankly. Working on other projects.

Also any characters added by other mods will be excluded.
D man 23 Apr, 2023 @ 11:23am
Hey, I got a question. Some of the people that were unconscious had meat on them, but some of them didn't. Why is that happening?
The Raptor Factor  [author] 23 Feb, 2023 @ 2:34am
Hey Looter, sorry I'm way late to this. Haven't gotten notifications in a while for some reason.

Anyway, yes, the meat needs to be added manually to every enemy so (other) modded stuff won't have it. You could do this yourself if you like: In FCS, make a new mod file, load in the wasteland thing, then you can add raw meat as a "death item" to the new characters (they should be a different color than base game stuff). You could load up my mod instead as reference and hit "see changes" in the top menu.

I am LONG out of the modding scene, so you're better off finding a guide if you need help on the specifics. Cheers for keeping this game alive!
Level One Looter 12 Jan, 2023 @ 6:52pm
This is a terrific mod, man! I just wanted to say this is a great addition for anyone wanting to have some cannibal warlord role-play in Kenshi.

On a side note: I have a question for Terminarch, I am using the Universal Wasteland Expansion mod (so I don't know if that may be effecting anything), but it seems that none of the "Shrieking/Babbling Bandits" drop any Human meat, which would be terrific for me as they are one of the main sources of people in the Cannibal Plains that aren't Cannibals. Other than that, this is an excellent mod so far, and I greatly appreciate you making it.
aceofplagues 7 Jan, 2023 @ 9:26am
Top tier mod, all dirty slavers are food.

I do wish it used something similar to the new inventory icons for meat. The meshes are quite ugly in inventory. But the mod works great 👍

Now I want to just turn hunger rate waaay up and become a ravenous swarm of hivers
The Finkster 10 Nov, 2022 @ 2:59pm
I have been looking for this thank you brother
Bob 21 Aug, 2022 @ 3:24pm
Yeah I noticed this (somewhat annoying) behaviour of the game as you describe.
I do recall bonedogs/garrus/bulls/gutters being frequently from different factions (herbivores; slavetraders; nomads; gutters; HN) , yet never experienced non-stacking meat. Could be me also.
The Raptor Factor  [author] 18 Aug, 2022 @ 1:10pm
Skinning a wild animal doesn't count as stealing, but skinning a faction animal does. There is no way to decouple an individual's inventory from their faction.

You could look at the code yourself if you're curious. I copied the "death item" functionality that is shared with wild animals, faction animals, and certain robots. It is the same system. The problem is the faction of the target.

So you know how when you steal stackable items like medkits they don't stack, even with other stolen items? Well *for the same faction* you can put them all in one enemy inventory and they will stack. This is because the crime system is tied to faction.
Bob 18 Aug, 2022 @ 10:30am
@Terminarch: I get your point, although for some reason taking meat items from a wild animal doesnt give the stolen flag somehow. Perhaps it was possible to use that system as a base, but I imagine you already considered that then.
EvilNecroid 2 Aug, 2022 @ 6:13pm
i like the meat grinder idea.
keep taking the meat from there inventories till u can build the meat grinder and then just throw every1 in it muhahaha
The Raptor Factor  [author] 2 Aug, 2022 @ 4:28pm
@Bart

It's been ages since I used this personally... but if I remember correctly both of your concerns are because taking the meat is considered stealing. Just like how stolen medkits don't stack. So once it's cooked the stolen tag is removed and it works normally.

Nothing can be done about that since you ARE taking something from another character's inventory. Does suck though, I must agree.

So there was a thought I had a long time ago. There's a Darkspawn mod that lets you make medkits from using a peeler. How cool would it be to have a "meat grinder" machine for cannibal playthroughs? Always wanted to have a reason to carry your poor victims back to camp!

>:D
Bob 2 Aug, 2022 @ 6:12am
@Terminarch

Two points of criticism on this mod:

1) Auto haul on human meat does not work (when characters have the scavenge job, and a human-meat-storage was placed and accessible). Characters did collect normal meat and skins. This makes living as a cannibal bothersome with lots of clicking on your enemies inventories.

2) Human meat makes separate stacks from each source (person - usually 2 human meat pieces). The result is having inventories quickly clutter, and requiring lots of clicking to manually empty an inventory. Stackable behaviour similar to regular meat (e.g. in backpacks - meat from various animals ends up in the same stack) would be nice.

Positive notes:

1) Auto cook works great.

2) Thanks for allowing playthoughs as a cannibal - it was great fun.
EvilNecroid 27 Mar, 2022 @ 1:34am
is this the mod that adds a cannibal pole?
EvilNecroid 26 Feb, 2022 @ 5:07pm
i dunno
but this 1 does the same thing as the other 1 did so its all good i guess :)
The Raptor Factor  [author] 26 Feb, 2022 @ 10:15am
This is not the only mod to do something along those lines. Possible you had another installed.
This one does exactly what you're asking for, though. Also my personal mod list got screwed up in the recent patch, that could be part of it I suppose.
EvilNecroid 26 Feb, 2022 @ 6:16am
ok im confused :(
ages ago i had a cannibal mod that added food to unconscious people that killed them when u looked it and there was a special cannibal campfire for the meat. now after taking almost a year break from the game i come back and that mod is missing but this 1 is here?
is this the same mod again?
where did the other 1 go?
The Raptor Factor  [author] 5 Jan, 2022 @ 5:14pm
No. Races don't have inventory items in the editor, everything is assigned by character. Like when you see "Dust Bandit Bowman" in-game, that's the actual name you can look up in the editor and see what he has.

It's possible to merge mods though. Open one up in FCS, then at the top "open any", find this one, select the death items, then add those items to the custom characters from the other mod.
BanditJojo 5 Jan, 2022 @ 4:00pm
Will this affect custom races?
Bapho 29 Jul, 2021 @ 9:54am
Thank you so much for this.
Finally, I can start off with an army of animals, feeding on the flesh of my slaughtered foes!
Statica 2 Sep, 2020 @ 8:27am
Finally, some good fucking food
FeralZ 29 Sep, 2019 @ 8:52am
triangle bandits isnt included in the meat, pls include them xD
one of the best mods of the workshop, now i can sustain 10 warriors
The Raptor Factor  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 9:39pm
@Ysonoko
Sorry, but I'm no longer supporting this mod except any major issues. I never actually tested it, you'd have to try yourself.

I *have* added the necessary container to kill off downed fleshies, not for skeletons. In theory it only matters if foraging affects humanoids but that's not something I could modify without potentially breaking many other things. Maybe as a standalone mod, but not something I am willing to change here if foraging doesn't automatically work.

Certainly let me know how it goes. I may actually make said mod (if possible) if that's not already functional here.
Sono 13 Jun, 2019 @ 5:32am
Is the meat forage-able?
Just wondering if someone with the forage job can forage downed enemies to get rid of the 100's of bodies laying around after a raid. Looking for something like this, with that feature, for clearing bodies/corpses after large fights. I'd like to add this to a collection if it the meat on the bodies can be perma-jobed.

Thanks in advance!

@WolfGunt
Sure. Just post a link to this page and a disclaimer that your copy is not necessarily up to date.
WolfGunt 8 Mar, 2019 @ 4:28am
Hello, can i translate your mod and post it? There is just nothing to translate but people asked for comfortable language playing.
The Raptor Factor  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 3:54am
Fogmen have raw human meat. You'll need to import if you added after starting the game.
beartrap 6 Mar, 2019 @ 8:53pm
Do Fogmen have meat or foul meat? I don't see any after their downed?
The Raptor Factor  [author] 27 Feb, 2019 @ 2:06am
Is this dust boss hive/scorchlander?

Nothing I could do about that without removing player features. Filling up his inventory with stone or something would work.
ame 25 Feb, 2019 @ 4:05pm
this is great, the only problem i have is that i have a dust boss as my prisoner and when i put someone on the cage next to him he steals their flesh, so my prisoners are always dying and the dust boss is full of human meat..
RIX-ANT 17 Feb, 2019 @ 1:00pm
Thanks, bro. :meadhorn:
The Raptor Factor  [author] 16 Feb, 2019 @ 2:04pm
@RIX-ANT
Patched.
The Raptor Factor  [author] 16 Feb, 2019 @ 1:41pm
@PremierVader
Patched. Added support for southern hive as well.
PremierVader 15 Feb, 2019 @ 10:00pm
Ok so my hivers are starving and NOT eating the raw human meat. Please fix this!
RIX-ANT 14 Jan, 2019 @ 12:48pm
Please finish the mod.
1) Let those who do not eat a person, do not lift it.
2) Not all factions have human flesh. Add to all.
I think this is the best mod!:westernluck:
The Raptor Factor  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 9:12pm
Sadneil patched.
JimmyNickels 3 Jan, 2019 @ 4:45am
The recruitable character "Sadneil" found in the Black Desert city bar has a robot heart.
