It won't add it to the cooking stove options though, also after import. So bit stuck for now.
(PS this whole idea is rather crazy lol, can think of lots of other foods if this works, also more normal ones LOL)
That's all it takes if you feel like doing it yourself. Funny idea.
There was a mod that adds cannibal items, but it locks out other research......
I need to build my BurgerKing empire! Selling back the meat to other factions seem so Kenshi to :-D
The reason for this is that some NPCs (like hungry bandits) will loot food items, potentially killing the player outright even though they aren't meant to be cannibals. The solution is to have the player act like a cannibal... bringing back characters to a modded peeler machine that outputs the flesh. This also solves the no-stacking problem. I just can't be bothered to do it, frankly. Working on other projects.
Also any characters added by other mods will be excluded.
Anyway, yes, the meat needs to be added manually to every enemy so (other) modded stuff won't have it. You could do this yourself if you like: In FCS, make a new mod file, load in the wasteland thing, then you can add raw meat as a "death item" to the new characters (they should be a different color than base game stuff). You could load up my mod instead as reference and hit "see changes" in the top menu.
I am LONG out of the modding scene, so you're better off finding a guide if you need help on the specifics. Cheers for keeping this game alive!
On a side note: I have a question for Terminarch, I am using the Universal Wasteland Expansion mod (so I don't know if that may be effecting anything), but it seems that none of the "Shrieking/Babbling Bandits" drop any Human meat, which would be terrific for me as they are one of the main sources of people in the Cannibal Plains that aren't Cannibals. Other than that, this is an excellent mod so far, and I greatly appreciate you making it.
I do wish it used something similar to the new inventory icons for meat. The meshes are quite ugly in inventory. But the mod works great 👍
Now I want to just turn hunger rate waaay up and become a ravenous swarm of hivers
I do recall bonedogs/garrus/bulls/gutters being frequently from different factions (herbivores; slavetraders; nomads; gutters; HN) , yet never experienced non-stacking meat. Could be me also.
You could look at the code yourself if you're curious. I copied the "death item" functionality that is shared with wild animals, faction animals, and certain robots. It is the same system. The problem is the faction of the target.
So you know how when you steal stackable items like medkits they don't stack, even with other stolen items? Well *for the same faction* you can put them all in one enemy inventory and they will stack. This is because the crime system is tied to faction.
keep taking the meat from there inventories till u can build the meat grinder and then just throw every1 in it muhahaha
It's been ages since I used this personally... but if I remember correctly both of your concerns are because taking the meat is considered stealing. Just like how stolen medkits don't stack. So once it's cooked the stolen tag is removed and it works normally.
Nothing can be done about that since you ARE taking something from another character's inventory. Does suck though, I must agree.
So there was a thought I had a long time ago. There's a Darkspawn mod that lets you make medkits from using a peeler. How cool would it be to have a "meat grinder" machine for cannibal playthroughs? Always wanted to have a reason to carry your poor victims back to camp!
>:D
Two points of criticism on this mod:
1) Auto haul on human meat does not work (when characters have the scavenge job, and a human-meat-storage was placed and accessible). Characters did collect normal meat and skins. This makes living as a cannibal bothersome with lots of clicking on your enemies inventories.
2) Human meat makes separate stacks from each source (person - usually 2 human meat pieces). The result is having inventories quickly clutter, and requiring lots of clicking to manually empty an inventory. Stackable behaviour similar to regular meat (e.g. in backpacks - meat from various animals ends up in the same stack) would be nice.
Positive notes:
1) Auto cook works great.
2) Thanks for allowing playthoughs as a cannibal - it was great fun.
but this 1 does the same thing as the other 1 did so its all good i guess :)
This one does exactly what you're asking for, though. Also my personal mod list got screwed up in the recent patch, that could be part of it I suppose.
ages ago i had a cannibal mod that added food to unconscious people that killed them when u looked it and there was a special cannibal campfire for the meat. now after taking almost a year break from the game i come back and that mod is missing but this 1 is here?
is this the same mod again?
where did the other 1 go?
It's possible to merge mods though. Open one up in FCS, then at the top "open any", find this one, select the death items, then add those items to the custom characters from the other mod.
Finally, I can start off with an army of animals, feeding on the flesh of my slaughtered foes!
one of the best mods of the workshop, now i can sustain 10 warriors
Sorry, but I'm no longer supporting this mod except any major issues. I never actually tested it, you'd have to try yourself.
I *have* added the necessary container to kill off downed fleshies, not for skeletons. In theory it only matters if foraging affects humanoids but that's not something I could modify without potentially breaking many other things. Maybe as a standalone mod, but not something I am willing to change here if foraging doesn't automatically work.
Certainly let me know how it goes. I may actually make said mod (if possible) if that's not already functional here.
Just wondering if someone with the forage job can forage downed enemies to get rid of the 100's of bodies laying around after a raid. Looking for something like this, with that feature, for clearing bodies/corpses after large fights. I'd like to add this to a collection if it the meat on the bodies can be perma-jobed.
Thanks in advance!
Sure. Just post a link to this page and a disclaimer that your copy is not necessarily up to date.
Nothing I could do about that without removing player features. Filling up his inventory with stone or something would work.
Patched.
Patched. Added support for southern hive as well.
1) Let those who do not eat a person, do not lift it.
2) Not all factions have human flesh. Add to all.
I think this is the best mod!
