So with the launch of the smurf mod, I gonna divert my resources and time on other stuffs and my professional work until funding raising targets are met.

~ 100 to allow me to have a custom youtube channel ID
~ 1000 to allow me to monetise the youtube channel.

My aim is 1000 subscribers, so that my content will allow me to earn advertising dollars - which in term will allow me to spend more time on modding.This is actually the best thing to help me help you get more of my mods updated and created!

@TNDKing - The bugs are "animals". They do not follow the humanoid system.

Not sure if its compatible with better infestation - but most like it won't - as I recoded the entire hive mechanics.

Hey m8 do the bugs follow a humanoid system or an insect system? If insect can they appear as hive and furthermore would it be compatible with better infestations to make it where they will form larger hives and go out to hunt to expand?

The hardcore addon now supports Rimworld 1.3

@PremierVadar - its not a video, it was a stream.

I'm not sure what are the latest play thru for this mod though.

The difference between the hardcore and the one without is that, hardcore makes the arachnid threat a constant and regular one; while the original, is meant to just be part of the game along with all the other mods and events.

Hey man in the description it says somebody did a video which included this mod. Can you please link the exact video? I went on the guys twitch but couldnt figure out which video/run had this mod featured. I really wanna try this mod but also want to see it in action.

The ST Arachnid's Hardcore Add-On is now updated to Rimworld 1.2

Only players with pasteel balls should add this addon.

pair this with the rimatomics mod and set it for high yeild a pop goes your arachnid problem plus your frames but seroisely great mod i would recomend running run time Gc in conguntion to stop late game lag

Honestly, if you guys join my discord - you will find people whom deal with the arachnids perfectly fine... in fact looking forward to their events - so that they can gain more wealth from the loot...

Yeah but thats the point man, even by accident, just doing what they've evolved to do they can still fight on even footing or even crush the humans despite the fact that at this point they're a multiplanetary space faring race.

The arachnids are kindda OP in the way they are written in the books or the movie... I actually tone it down for the mod... or they would be OP in the game as well...

@BlueTheFurry man you got your lore really really backwards. The Zerg got their ass handed to them by the UED multiple times. The full force of the zerg swarm wasn't enough to even throw the Terran Dominion and the RR off of Char. The zerg are pathetic in comparison to these bugs.

I kind of Reference the Movie that these things are based off of since the Humans ALWAYS fail until they get the Brain bug then they kind of Won the War on THAT planet and just like the Zerg they are going to Land on a Other World and Stick a Queen or a Brain Bug on it and protect it with Billions of Bugs or Zerg

Well im gonna compare these Arachnid Bugs to the Zerg from Starcraft since they both cant be Stopped unless you fuck its main source of control (Brain Bug and Kerrigan)

@ZeroDeffs - This mod is never meant to "make it easy" for players. =P

@SeanMacLeod - Actually the current mechanics is already as such. Its just that, on open ground, the bugs / smurfs will "claim much bigger territory" as compared to the vanilla infestations which are usually in rooms and caves

@Bloky555 - The Arachnids attacks are a lot more frequent. In the original, you can sometimes go entire season without getting a single attack (especially when you have a lot of mods installed)

Hardcore mode basically guarantee you get attacks

@WalkingProblem honestly its all a good mod. and i like the constant pressure. but at end game where your base is large enough those plasma shots that could kill herd animals in 1 hit is quite annoying. maybe you should reduce the damage if it goes trought roofs? or just reduce overall damage. i won the fight but lost my chickens. what am i supposed to do with my colony now. its finished. colonies without chickens equal to death.

Maybe passive in general, but extremely aggressive when something or someone comes too close to the nest, then passive again when the percieved threat is neutralized or moves out of their territory?
Also (just a suggestion!) reconning scouts, foraging workers, hunting warriors! :Crawler:

@Beast From the Weast - the only way to know is to generate the future incident list via dev mode to see if the incidents are filled with a lot of arachnids attacks.

But arachnids attack from 6months into the game. If you are still early in the game - it won't be obvious at the beginning
