Great puzzle and excellent hammer work.

Nice and tightly design puzzle. I didn't have much trouble with it, but still quite good!

Probably unintended solution / exploit: With good timing and angle, you can drop the reflection cube into the laser path from above from inside the funnel.

love the hidden route and offices, adds a great detail :p2chell:

A remodel of a difficult map, but the attention to detail was incredible in the entire thing.

Stanleyyyyyyyyy!

The puzzle in itself was quite difficult for me but the map is beautiful 10/10

Not a piece of cake within the puzzle... But an entire cake within the BTS ! What else does it need to make a perfect map ! :steamhappy:
Another masterpiece ! Thank you !

About intermediate in difficulty, but I think there was unwanted autodrop since I saw a splash. And FPS tanked to around 20 with my GTX 1050ti, the game is made overly beautiful. Since game control is still as solid it is too many polygons not CPU issue.

Steps:
1. Go to drop Reflective and take it to trigger polarity change.
2. Drop Weighted Cube and send it to you by funnel, polarity back, join Reflective, disrupt trigger, go back up to up there.
3. Disrupt the disrupter by funnel so you can go back to Exit by funnel, from there disrupt the Reflective.
4. Ride back, break funnel source and reportal so you can take both cubes and laser to Exit, solved.

Again, well designed chamber, as well as versatile usage of the excursion funnels to manipulate the laser cube and the weighted cube.

That bent my brain. Nice puzzle.

Okay, puzzle solved, with the help of a walkthrough because I was completely stumped. Still think I missed half the easter egg area-- for all the time I wasted snooping around for hidden portal surfaces, I could NOT find a way to get onto those catwalks. I found what appeared to be a Doctor Who reference on my second time around the known parts of the secret area, which was interesting, but can you PLEASE give some sort of hint??? If it was impossible to get onto those catwalks under the cube tubes, you wouldn't have halved the FPS by putting those areas in-- there has to be some sort of hidden portal surface or secret passage that I just haven't noticed
voidify 16 Jan, 2020 @ 8:20pm
I feel like I'm missing some of the Easter egg. I got to the room where there's a broom closet full of frames, an inaccessible area, a metal door that won't open, and a "push to open" door followed by a fizzler-- once passed through, this puts you in a position where it seems the only option is to go up the stairs, fall through the gap, and return to the puzzle. The issue is, there are catwalks with the same kind of metal door as the one that won't open in several out-of-bound zones, so I'm led to believe there's even more easter egg. I can't find portal surfaces in ANY of the other broken walls. What am I missing? I might give up and just try to solve the puzzle (or check a walkthrough, because the puzzle itself has me stumped too), but I'd really like clarity on this.

The original map was amazing, this remake is fantastic. The puzzle itself and the hidden things :p

I had debugging enabled for some reason which showed target names :P
MisterLambda  [author] 5 Sep, 2019 @ 8:18am
Stop looking through the game files, you nerd!" :P I was honestly never expecting someone to find those.

This is a story of a stick-man named Bendy.
Absolutely beautiful as always.

Most Excellent! Although I was actually refering to the locked sliding door inside the orange fan room. There is a way to open it and a great reward awaits if you do. ;)
SpielSatzFail 13 Jul, 2019 @ 5:06am
Be sure I found it ^^
I didn't take the straight way out but took the vents and found the companion as well as Ratman's hideout . Nice touch.
MisterLambda  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 2:33am
Thank you so much for Playing Spiel, good job on finding the secret area, but did you know you can find a secret area within the secret area? I'm glad you enjoyed the ending, it was actually inspired by that game so your not wrong in being reminded of it!
SpielSatzFail 12 Jul, 2019 @ 4:33pm
P.S. the ending was hilarious :D reminded me of The Stanley Parable ^^
SpielSatzFail 12 Jul, 2019 @ 3:50pm
I discovered the secret area pretty fast, and I'm not the "secret guy" usually ha-haaa ^^
The puzzle itself is challenging for it's size; I solved it slightly different. Nothing to worry about, I just didn't block the laser to change the polarity but positioned the laser cube via remote control which made it a little harder for me, yet doable.
Thumbs up :-)
_galaxy 23 Jun, 2019 @ 12:38pm
Oh you remember me from that! Well those where some dark days for me, hormones and stuff... glad I had some proper judgment back then still!
MisterLambda  [author] 23 Jun, 2019 @ 12:34pm
@_galaxy Hey mate, thanks for all the comments on my maps. I remember you back in the day from the Thinking with Portal discord server. I posted a screenshot of this map when it had just come out and you gave me a nice compliment on it back then as well. Thanks again for your expert opinion friend!
_galaxy 13 Jun, 2019 @ 9:20pm
This is one of the best maps on this entire workshop. Not only the level detail is amazing, somehow with that cleverly placed lighting it creates some really good effects that I've yet to see on other chambers!

The puzzle is also fun and well placed difficulty so most people can enjoy. Easter egg and checkpoint system was interesting too!
Rector 12 May, 2019 @ 5:26am
Spectacular Hammer work! The easter egg was a nice touch :)

Very cool map once more. Very nice rework of an excellent puzzle and I loved the ending :D
vallibus 20 Apr, 2019 @ 4:14pm
Good grief! I spent a lot of time pursuing a solution that was not the real solution. Very nice challenge and interesting visuals.
Demon Arisen  [author] 10 Feb, 2019 @ 7:38am
Why would you disregard the puzzle :/

Just kidding, glad you enjoyed it Teo! <3
Teo 10 Feb, 2019 @ 7:37am
My two favorite games in one map. Disregarding the puzzle, that already deserves a favorite.

All the best compliments! To all of this map's makers!

That ending killed me!

Hey thank you so very much for your kind words! Have a wonderful day.

Absolutely fantastic work in hammer (Lambda) and with the puzzle (Demon). It took me an embarrassingly long time to complete, after I had absorbed all the details and easter egg stuff my brain was too distracted lol.

10/10

Thanks mates! I'm happy you enjoyed it.

That detail, that lighting, that exploring, that puzzle, that easter eggs, that freaking ending. Dam, that was good, quite a fine work you got here. I really had to stop time to time to just look around and see the eye candy and hidden gems.

Beautiful. Just wonderful, superb.
What else... oh ya. Good work.

Beautiful, genius, excellent work from the both of you.

DA's puzzle was great. But I was wowed by the Hammer work. This must have taken so much work putting together. And it really paid off. It felt "Valve real", even in the smallest details. Most excellent. Thank you both for the efforts. And loved the easter eggs.
MisterLambda  [author] 7 Jan, 2018 @ 7:14am
Thank you all for playing! Though specifically @Super Dirt I do not understand what you mean by the "cactuses". There are no cactuses in this map as far as I am aware :P
EndOfPortal 6 Jan, 2018 @ 4:01am
Great map with an impressive design. I went into the opening in the wall with the cube but it was a decoy.
Mister Smirnov 5 Jan, 2018 @ 2:19pm
This map is great! I think that it has taken a long time making it, specially making the arms, as I know how many outputs they need. I especially liked the cactuses with cubes, as that was my most favorite thing in portal 2!
