Take ur time, keep up the great work <3
I'm not tolerating this Behavior and will just delete and block, without any Discussions.
Otherwise it would be wasted Time for me.
I'm not one of CAs Game Designers
Wait.
I was strenght rank number 1 but when I installed this mod i war on rank 40 Its insane haha
Still awesome work
Same difficulty but quicker - also to play as 20 battles per turn and you know you win each individually is no fun...
Since the last CA Patches, Editing of Upkeep and Recruitment Costs introduces several unwanted Effects, like AI spamming little Armies or getting insane Recruitment Slots, for whatever Reasons.
On Top of that, many Legendary Lords do not recruit their Armies up to full for many Turns.
I have taken out any Upkeep and Recruitment Costs for Armies/Generals and Upkeep Modifier for that Reason.
The AI will use the Vanilla ones.
Works on Save Game.
- further AI Buildings Priority Tweaks, meaning drasticaly reduced Taverns, Farms, Pastures and other Stuff (let AI built them at least when nothing else Military/Walls/Heroe Recruitment cant be built)
- tweaked the whole Building Priority System for every Faction in the Game
- diverse Difficulty and Balance Tweaks - new ones for Hordes
Your mileage may vary though, I still think Minos's additions to the AI are definitive when compared to CA's ideas. I say this because without it, I usually quit campaigns by ~turn 50.
Smarter or harder?
You've added me on steam. However, i currently have a newborn and as such only manage to play maybe an hour a day arround 10 gtm+1.
Do you have any questions? I am very exited about the possibility of you adding something in the way i described because i truly think it would be balance a lot better whilst beeing still equally challenging but less tedious.
That would be great! What do you think about should be the parameters? Can you do a static 50 %? Before other upkeep modifiers? If yes i guess that would be best. If not then does an income modifier work?
Thank you so incredibly much 😊
Could me also made as an extra Mod, loaded above this here.
50 % more Upkeep for Player and less Income and reduced Upkeep Cheats for AI...
Thank you so much for this mod ! Loving it that i can finally play as "efficient" as possible and not loose interest in 40 turns because the campaign is as good as over.
2 questions:
1. The guy who finished it with skaven, i would've loved to play with skaven too, but i assume the 50% income applies to total income? Nullifying the difficulty because if lothern alone can net 15k for the AI you would get 7.5k from that alone. Making you filthy rich. If thats the case, is it possible to make the 50 % scale of off base income?
2. And this is the bigger one, whilst i love the huge threat the AI poses, the game seems a bit weird this way. For example, the AI has tier 5 towns on approx turn 20-30. Full fledged elite tier armys by turn 25. This ofc. makes it lovely hard and there are other changes like the skillselection, the AI using spells nicely on my boxes :D etc. But it slows the game down to a crawl in 2 major ways, firstly the end turns, they are massive,
i am getting 2 minutes plus on turn 35 already. I guess due to the massive amount of armys.
Second because there are so many armys i there are a huge amount of fights each turn and many of them are these massive (and mostly not so fun) multiple stack fights.
On top of that, iIt also makes many elements trivial. Why bother with garrison buildings if i know that if i get attacked, it's gonna be at the very least 1 stack of full elites, more likely several. What are 14 mid low units going to do against that? Why skill Tyrion to improve archers and spearmen if I know that the phase of him using them semi effectively (which in a normal game is until the end due to the AI being no challenge) is limited to about 40 turns and then he must have elite units himself since the fights wont be 20v20 in this mod.
What i am trying to get at is this: Wouldn't it perhaps be equally or even more challenging to keep all the awesome AI improvement parts of your mod, including some of the eco boost. But for example instead of giving the AI 5 times more money, give it 1.5 times more money and instead give the player LESS money. As in 50 % more upkeep. Or if base upkeep cost change not easily possible, leave the upkeep (because I believe you would not be able to change the base upkeep without having to due it for each faction – hence making it harder in the beginning 150% upkeep instead of 100%, but not that important in the mid – endgame 250% instead of 200) but put a static dampener on player income. Player received 50 % less from all sources. I am sure you know the technicalities better and what would make more sense. The goal would be to leave the importance of all aspects as is, but limiting the player compared to the AI.
The base upkeep would hence be preferable because it would leave the income sources balanced among each other as they should.
This would be the most amazing campaign experience I believe. Give me challenging 12 vs 20 stack battles. Or me being forced to leave my city’s underdefended because I must finally expand but having valiant siege defences and maybe even agent assaulting that one huge army attacking my small fort for once because it’s actualy helpful. Having maybe 1-2 dragons in my armies in the end.
Rather than having to have a full elite army myself to counter the multiple elite armys the AI throws at me, completely ignoring defensive structures.
Anyways, just an idea in a different direction. I want a hard game, heck I want the hardest. But this version, even though I love the challenge, is quite tedious, both in waiting time as well as repetitive huge amounts of battles.
NO!
Its a Standalone Version.
- reduced Anti-Player
- reduced high-sea Attrition
Updated my both Chaos Invasion Mods, which have now much better Units, more Exp and Characters and increased Size of Armies!

Its extrahard, so of course they have so much Waaagh...
Are they beatable?
It wont get better, only the Diplomacy, looking upon playing three Kingdoms its the same so far...
I haven't played Vanilla in forever, I suspect I would have not been able to manage. I'll see for the next one.
