updated to speed potion patch !

=> now that all hidden items are no longer hidden (yay !):

- the mod wont affect most legendary items anymore EXEPT the 2 of lioncoeur from total war warhammer 1 (lionshield + crown)

- the mod no longer contains any scripts

=> if you meet any bug: the cause is from another mod OR default game itself ! (still feel free to ask for help if you really dont know where the bug comes from)

(edited fully mod's description to show the remaining changes i keep in the mod)

80% of the hidden items are no longer hidden !!!!!!!
- my mod will keep the 2 hidden lioncoeur items (crown + lionshield) both are from WH 1 and let down by CA (as they were implemented as skills instead of items when bretonnia became playable)
- i will keep the 3 markus items and the starting items of alarielle, tiktakto, tehentauin and nukit claw (to keep compatibility)

i still go to check how they are really implemented, i suppose that they will unlock some quests (no quest battles)

=> question is: should i delete the "no longer hidden" one or i keep them to allow getting them easily ? have to test it

most mods affecting LL recruitment ou skill point reset are coded to replace the default character by a copy, problem is: the copy is not affected by the default script

the "bug" is "intended" in that case (and a fix wouldnt be that easy for my simple mod)

When I play Malekith, If I confederation Morathi, I can get her two hidden legendary items and normal one. however, if Morathi come to me by the recruit defeated LL mod, this Morathi have only one legendary item.

i can point you the "community bug fix" mod which enable the mace from the start, but i think it wont affect already started campaigns either :(

nevermind i found the problem. i have a mod that replaced the mace of ulumak entirely so i didn't get the artifact after the quest. unfortunately, im like 90 turns in already so its too late now. welp .-.

so i just downloaded your mod so i could get the mace of ulumak fro Gor Rok. i completed the quest battle but i did not get it. as far as i know i have no mods altering quest battles but i do have one that alters artefact effects. would there be a problem?

(also making it compatible with the other mod needs a heavy edit of the LL unique quest script including how AI get the items, the script is my biggest concern = hardest thing to make compatibility)

even if i find a way (if its possible) to get it working with instant quest battles, this wont fix any confederation issue => if you confederate a character who should have unlocked his quest battle already => you still can miss the item

adding lines for instant quest battle mod will add more ID use and i dont know how this lines would be handled for players with and without the other mod

still unsure how the game reacts in that case and what will happen each time we get a patch

also keep in mind the festag-december patch will also include a "fix" for some quest items (they will probably add normal quests for secondary hidden LL items)

@Gogopher : The artifact quests will be broken if you confederate Naki or Gor-rok, the only fix will be instant quest item mod to skip these broken quests.
Such a great pity that this mod is not compatible with instant quest item :(

naki the wanderers golden tribute quest is bugged in my lizard game: i have the 3 sacred krox (tried it with all variants of krox and various numbers above 3 for each and no luck) but the quest wont advance...no idea if this mod is messing with it (and so far only his and loki fellhearts helmet are bugged...loki's helmet quest never fires)...but not running any other item mods...am running leg confed

"instant quest item" can conflict with my mod as it affects heavily questlines, so changing the last quest ID can offset my changes :-/

Markus's Monoliths Shard, Obsinite Plate and Band of Loyalty do not unlock when Markus acquires his Amber Bow legendary item. Also Lioncoeur's Crown of Bretonnia and Lion Shield hidden items do not unlock when Lioncoeur acquires his Sword of Couronne legendary item. Currently running your mod with ''Fast Level 40 Lords'' mod and ''Instant Quest Items'' mod. Could you please tell me if these items are still unlockable with this mod or is there a compatibility issue with using these three mods together?

Thanks! Right, I will try activating your mod only before the last step of the Amber Bow's quest pops up. I play in legendary, so I guess I will have to end turn, close the game, activate your mod, load the save game. Then hopefully everything will work as intended :)

=> it must be activated before receiving the quest (the one giving the battle + items)

=> its also possible that only the script is used in both mod, in that case you can:
- copy my mod (the pack file)
- rename the copy
- open it with PFM (= pack file manager)
- delete only "wh_quests.lua"
- save the file
- activate this mod instead of my default one
- play

the script allows AI to get the items but can be in trouble with any mods affecting that file, all the rest (including giving items at the end of the lastest quest) cant be in trouble with other mods (exept if a mod is changing the questline ID)

I think the problem is some weird interaction between your mod and the 'one button respec' one. I guess I can try starting a campaign with only UIMF + 'one button respec' and then add your mod to get Wulfric's items.

Can I just add your mod during the middle of a campaign and still get it to work? If so, when do I need to activate it (1) just before the legendary item quest pops up, or (2) just before doing the battle for the item?

it has something to do as it can change the default quest-lines and names (= ID) so my mod wont affect them :-/

i just did the shield of aeons quest but i did not get the mace, i do have a mod called better artifacts that upgrades quest items idk if that has something to do with it

in theory, mods should modify the same thing so they dont overwrite each other, but im wondering if thats where your bug comes from

but still cant be sure, are the other mods updated for the lastest patch ?

Damn! I can't remember the order they were before :( I guess it's safe to assume that overarching mods such as UIMF should be loaded first?

well, if your load order worked before the patch, and if the mods are not renamed, they still should work

if its not working, the other mod is perhaps not updated

i dont know in detail as i didnt look into your other mods

Mmm... you think the load order matters? So, I'm playing with 4 mods as I said: (1) better cammera, (2) UIMF, (3) yours, (4) one button respec. Do you recommend any specific loading order?

Yeah... I think it's your mod + the 'one button respec' one. It's a bit bizzarre because I've used both mods countless times whilst playing and the elf factions and I've never had any problem. I guess the main problem happens now that CA have changed the level required for empire LLs' quests. The modder of that mod isn't replying, so I don't know...

@Furtissim if the empire works again without my mod, it could be caused by a mod conflict or my mod (its working on my side so i bet on a mod conflict affecting the same things)

@Lucien the vortex campaign script should give to AI the hidden items when each lord reach the intended level (i think there are some small exeption as i havent checked that script for a long time), if not, you still should be able to get the item by doing their quest lines (if you confederated before they unlock it)

so they either changed their vortex script for the AI or you confederated at the wrong time to get them or its another forgotten bug of the game (it was always tedious to handle confederations)

Just wanted to confirm that whatever is causing my problems with the Empire's legendary items quests isn't afecting other factions. Playing a new ME campaign as Karak Kadrin, and all quests work as intended. On this new campaign I'm not playing with your mod, so that could be it.

=> my mod only contain the mortal empire script (because mortal empire IS the campaign with the items as hidden and even NOT given to AI)

=> most of the hidden items ARE available for AI in the vortex script, so i prefer not touching it

im not sure if all the items are given to AI in vortex, but most are given

yep i would be interested if it works when you disable the mod (but i still doubt it comes from it as it modifies only item rewards and not triggers)

if it doesnt trigger its either another mod effect OR a mod conflict (can be mine + another one)

i played mortal emprie with gelt and nakai (with my mods) i had no bugs on my side, another friend has no bugs with his gorrok / nakai / markus / franz campaigns either

but if you still get your bug, feel free to continue to post here, because if it persists i will try to dig it by analysing the other mods you use
