I only found this mod just now, when I have already downed 2 of the Chosen. Sad. How about Yellow Alert Gameplay v2, is this compatible with that mod?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a bug that's not caused by mods. I found a couple more reddit posts talking about it here -

The first one uses only a couple of basic mods, and the 2nd one was on playstation with no mods. Going to try and reinstall.

You can switch the difficulty mid-game before the landing, youll instantly see if its a bug or not. If the chosen instantly goes down to 15 HP its a difficulty level issue and might be caused by a or my mod somewhere. If she still has 35 its almost 100% a firaxis bug.

I'll try to convert the mod to a Visual Studio Project but thats going to be painful.

As for the Chosen on downed UFOs the only thing I do is allow for the mission to happen, I don't change anything else from what the game populates on that map. If the map decides to put some Chosen and you didn't even encounter them yet, that sounds like a base game bug. It could only be fixed by Firaxis (or by a good modder).

Most of the mods I play with are cosmetic or bug fixes. Yours is the only few I play with that buffs the enemy.

I have your UFOs From Day 1 mod, and on my 5th or 6th mission, it gave me a downed UFO and the Assassin showed up at the end with 35 health, 2 armor and is 1 shotting everyone with 9 damage. I haven't even discovered the Assassin yet on the Geoscape, just the Hunter and Warlock.

This mod does not alter Chosen HP values, sorry. The file with Chosen stats isn't even there (XComGameData_CharacterStats).

My Mod was in ModBuddy and I do not have it for Visual Studio... That's going to be a major pain unless someone posts a EXE download of the old ModBuddy for XCOM because I cant find it anywhere.

Hey Advent long time no talk. I just wanted to report that corress (Spectral Zombies) is not being proc'd for the Warlock. The reason being is that you have it only as a last action, but you made the action point cost 2 in the ini. If your intention is for the ability to cost two action points then you need to add it into the firstorsecondactionselector, otherwise it will never be used.

I always keep the console active in case XCOM does something stupid to fix issues. Maybe you have a unit thats stuck and when you try to move, no squares show up. Theres a variety of small issues it can help you with. Good luck on your quest in destroying the elders!

If the VIP is *really* too close to the chosen, you can also teleport it out of range in a reasonable distance behind cover. Cheating can sometimes be good, in this case. Good luck!

This is a bug that's part of the original game. It cannot be fixed in this package. Inactive VIPs aren't *really* units, and the scoring for them is supposed to ignore them if they're not active. I suggest using the developer console (launch the game with the parameter -enableconsole if I recall correctly) and on the first turn, teleport straight up to the VIP and activate him. Once active, put your unit back where it was with the TTC command (teleport to cursor) and then move the VIP out of the way. Sorry for the inconvenience.

How do I get the Chosen to not kill VIPs BEFORE I rescue them? Example: lost mission with the turret. Warlock spawns close to Turret and just murders the VIP. Silly. No way to plan around that. Is it this mod or AI to AI activation, which I also have?

Love this so far btw, other than this. This is basically a combination of Aggressive Chosen and Derbk’s “A Better Chosen’ in one mod. I know different philosophies but it plays similar to those mods except for the lethality of the Chosen.

When I do start the playthrough, I will not pre-record more than 5 episodes at a time, because I want to be able to interact with my fellow xcom comrades in the comment section. :) (Any less than 5 would be too inefficient sadly, esp since YT is such a b@stard and can take days to process HD videos.)

You're welcome. I'm going to use your Chosen Ai on a mega modded (300+ mods) legendary/honestman playthrough on my tiny YT channel in the not too distant future (Not exactly sure when I will start it, but before year's end at least, it takes a lot of time to playtest a mod collection as large as this as I'm sure you know, hehe.) So yeah, going to have to do that before i start a public campaign so I know that it's stable. I would be honored if you submitted a soldier to my rooster later Mr. Avenger. :) In a few days I will put up a recruitment episode video, where I will list the cosmetics mods I will be using so folks know how they can customize their characters. I will let you know when that video is up buddy so you (and anyone else if they so please) can check it out and submit characters. I only have 3 spots taken, so pretty much anyone who applies will get a spot. Will be using Proficiency classes btw, so you can pick your class as well if you will and I will try to honor it. :)

This is the best Chosen Ai mod on the workshop in my opinion. Makes them really really dangerous. I think unfortunately many people who would enjoy this mod don't try it out due to the many mods "required" for it - due to some of them being incompatible with other mods on their mod list - entirely forgetting that it says in the mod description that you can use the mod independently... (or just with some of the required mods.) Anyway, love your mod ADVENT Avenger. :)

Does this and the other AI packs require Yellow Alert 2.0 now or will it still work with the old version of it?

As for the soul of the chosen, you can play with the base AI if you like. It will move, then move again and then move back using a grapple. And thats it. The base AI is dumb and has no soul.

A Better Chosen has a AI file, but the one thing I really like from this mod is 3 action points for the Chosen, is there a way where you can release one single change where the chosen has 3 action points per turn. Even better if you can make it configurable, but this mod is nice but it changes the soul of the Chosen and their playstyles instead of enchancing it. Everyone just uses their gun which is the logical thing to do but its also the most uninteresting.
