Took me a while to figure this one out but made perfect sense once I got it.

Agree with the leaking textures in the office and the fact that jumping the platforms while holding the sphere was somewhat annoying and fifficult to pull off. Took a few tries.
I managed it by pre-placing the portals on the floor and dropping the ball in first, then climbing the stairs unencumbered. So long as I grabbed the ball before it hit me in the face, I could then throw it up to the final shelf, before following it the next time around - if I tried to get to the end with ball in hand, I'd always get it hooked on the edge and drop it. Even then it still took me forever. At one point, the water droplets somehow got onto the stairs, and I had to go back and reapply the gel again.
Thumbs up for the effort though.
