water not rendering is not a mod progblem its just how the game works lol

That's a limitation of the game itself, not this mod. It only happens when you zoom far enough out

The water doesn't render when zooming out

I wish Klei would get rid of this game breaking mod.

When I have zoomed out to the default maximum from your mod, then all the water in the game stops rendering. Is this a problem that you can fix, or is this a video setting that I need to change?

it prevents tumbleweeds to spawn in my game :/ :steamsad:

I wish I could also adjust the MAP's zoom step amount / speed .

You could make this mod complete, by adding settings for the camera pan gains, namely:
self.pangain = 4
self.headinggain = 20
self.distancegain = 1

There's a guy here asking for a mod that makes the camera follow his guy statically, with no smoothing. Letting him control those three variables (to set them very high) would solve that problem.

Useful mod, thank you!

I had a friend to test the commands I had in mind but it looks like the camera location offset is handled differently than I assumed. I'd recommend posting a bug report in the klei forums about the issue.
Master NiX 2 May, 2019 @ 6:01pm
If that can help, I would love to try.

@Master Nikslg, there is possibly a way to get around the locked positions in the rooms, but I don't have a way to test it as I do not own hamlet. I can send you some commands to try out if you know how to use the console.
Master NiX 1 May, 2019 @ 4:34am
Is it possible to use it for "rooms" in Hamlet?
I can't see both left and right with 4:3 Monitor without switching to 1280x720 :(
I was wondering if this mod can assist me on that.

That is just how the game is. It was designed to have a max zoom out range of 50, and with the cloud pushdown, it only ends up being 36. The wave animations start to go wonky much beyond that. Noticeable entity load in starts to happen around 80-100, depending on your pitch angle.
Bromo Sapien 3 Mar, 2019 @ 5:43am
So IDK if it's I have the settings wrong, or a bug... or just how it is. But...
1> only things(trees and such) close by load when not in overhead.
and
2> the waves of the ocean in the base world only half load... and those further away do not.
I have all DLC installed.
I am really just trying to get rid of the clouds, and have a more "flat" view when zoomed in and overhead.

the overhead view is awesome... but it also has the "waves don't or only part load" thing going on and it's rather distracting...

VERY COOL MOD though... I bet I have settings wrong and it's just me. or it's a Hamlet thing.

Thanks Aquilla!

@eXiGe, the new feature is really nice and makes camera work more like vanilla. Great job. :)
exige  [author] 20 Dec, 2017 @ 7:42pm
@Aquilla, I believe I have added what you were looking for regarding the pitch angle, let me know if this works out for you.
exige  [author] 2 Dec, 2017 @ 3:19am
Well, the issue with the camera angle is that it is variable by default, more of a 3rd person angle when zoomed in, and more of a overhead angle when zoomed out. When you increase the maximum view distance, it causes the angle at a normal zoom level to be more of a 3rd person angle. To compensate for that, you increase the maximum angle, which in turn, gives a a very overhead view when zoomed out. My solution was to make a locked view angle with the default being roughly what the angle would be at default zoom levels.

So with that said, I can update the mod to give you config options to tweak the minimum and maximum angles to give you a feel of variable zoom again, but it will never be all that great unless you use a smaller max view distance, close to the default of 50.
Aquilla 1 Dec, 2017 @ 4:34pm
I love this mod, it's awesome, but I do not really like changes in camera angle. What's the default one? Changed it to something more or less vanilla, but I'm still sure that's not the exact number.

what s max camera distance with this mod? some screenshots may be handy
