Let's see here... Fidel Castro committed mass genocides and jailings to anybody who opposed his system. Not to mention, if it's so amazing, why did so many people try to escape it? Some figures say there were twenty times more people attempting to escape Cuba than the DDR.

China tried it, millions died, the 'Great Leap Forward' was both good and bad, it made China industrialize too quickly for it's own ability, so they went into famine. Similar to Japan, they needed to expand because they had too many people and not enough land suitable for agriculture.
Capitalism may not be the best system in the world, but it sure as Hell beats Communism.
