Just wanted to inform you that I’ve updated this to align with the current file structure. I’ve also resolved the localization issue and reintroduced the Asari and Cerberus.

The portraits are no longer showing up ever since The Machine Age update. This has been happening to most other portrait mods as well, apparently something to do with Paradox reorganizing the species/portrait system.

Is there any chance you could update it in the near future? As it is now, the portraits are sadly inaccessible.

That is entirely your prerogative.

Included in this mod are also custom name lists and home systems for each major species, not just the ones with portraits.
This was born out of the discontinuation of the Mass Effect Species Pack by VJ - I have not really gone beyond that original mod.

I am only seeing 4 portraits included in this mod, and one is human. Am I missing something? all i see is Quarian, Taurian, and Salarian, Human.

Is it possible to move portraits to their species pack? Like Turians to avian, Salarians to mammals, and Quarians to humanoids?

@Nerdi: Unfortunately not. It is a UI limitation. I'd recommend using one of the UI mods like; UI Overhaul Dynamic which may help.

@Apapse: I personally use the lowest setting. 0.5 I think.

What is the best hyperlane density to use with this mod to symbolize the actual structure and connections of the ME galaxy?

Is there any way to scroll down in the flag selection menu? There are so many that it would need to scroll to see them all, but I can seem to do scroll down. I can't select the Cerberus logo for example, despite it probably being down there somewhere.

Ah yeah, it's likely due to me failing to update the non-English localisation. PDX decided to completely rework the localisation system and it is a major pain changing everything to it.

I thought I had done it for non-English localisations, but apparently not. I will have a look over the next couple of weeks and try and get it all updated.

All names added by the mod are corrupted for me. Example - MESP_TURAN_MALE_FIRST_NAME_GRIZZ etc. etc. same for humans, asari and others, any solution?

@Lord_Benji_- Probably not, at least not with this mod. I have no artistic talent whatsoever, and I don't feel comfortable using some of the Krogan portraits around as the original artist isn't even about as far as I am aware and I wouldn't want to use their content without permission.

If I were to ever add the Krogan or other ME Species portraits, it would likely be via the Mass Effect Civilizations team

Hi , not sure if you are still woking on this mod but if you do or decide in future to work on it. I can help you out with coding traits for races or even origins in future. I do not know how to make any graphics icons though.

There are no portraits for the Krogan, Volus, Batarians, and the other minor species, only name-lists. I don't plan to use portraits for these species unless they're of a high quality and not stolen from other people, which is the case with many Mass Effect mods on the Workshop.

@Nottrson: It is something I am testing and messing about with. My first priority, when I find some time (which is proving difficult) is to add some anomalies to the starting systems. Traits would likely follow. Origins would be something longer term, however, I won't say never.

It is more likely that the MEC team, which includes myself, would create origins as part of full on MEC mods for each species/faction.

Would it be possible for you to add traits and origins like the ones in the Mass Effect Ultimate Species Collection and Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari, or create a submod that does so? That's basically the only reason why I'm using the Ultimate Species collection despite it not being updated.

Based on a comment in the Elves of Stellaris mod I think it has to do with setting up the attachment_selector tag instead of a hair_selector? Don't know if that helps.
