@DerpyJam_755 nowhere I dont think, sorry I just saw this message, Squiffy sent me screenshots they are not anywhere posted that I know of. Not much but they look intricate and pristine.
DerpyJam_755 19 May @ 10:33am
Really? Where could I see this if you don't mind me asking?
Roland 7 May @ 6:40pm
Yeah someone else has taken up the mantle. His stuff looks great, he sent me screenshots, but like always the wait is the killer! LOL. I am amazed that so many ship sets for lousy franchises out there ( the latest Star Wars Films, I ma targeting you, I like SW but blasters get dull.) but none for either of the BSG classic or new, and there was a lot available, fan work made thousands of cool Warstars, Battlestars, Gunstars, etc. crazy dumb world. actually it is a dumb world.
RedRapture  [author] 7 May @ 11:57am
Ah, then this is officially EOL for the mod. We will not be updating it for 4.0 or fixing it.
Roland 6 May @ 8:14pm
It does not work now and has not for a long time, unfortunately. CTD.
RedRapture  [author] 6 May @ 6:29pm
Alright everyone, this mod has a new bug. The game will consider these ships to be organic. This is because we are not going to be updating the mod further and there's a new iddy biddy line of code you need to put into your shipset mods to get the game to make it registered as a mechanical ship.
Squiffy 6 May @ 10:39am
yes you'll get all of that, I'm mainly making the movie and getting those assets for this shipset.
finleygame2004 6 May @ 10:37am
Squiffy whats the release date for the shipset? Will we be getting battlestars like he Valkryie, mercury, and galactica classes. I will donate money for you to get this done. Ive been waiting years
Roland 20 Apr @ 11:46am
That is actually probably an even better idea, I think. I didnt know what was possible in that regard. Wow. KOOL!
Squiffy 20 Apr @ 10:36am
that was my plan
Squiffy 20 Apr @ 10:35am
oh Im bringing the BSG ships from the movie to this shipset, dw
Roland 20 Apr @ 7:11am
This is dead and Squiffy has bigger fish to fry so I guess we are not getting a BSG Colonials Shipset unfortunately, but we may be seeing a movie????? SHHHH!!!!:steamsad:
Roland 28 Mar @ 9:19am
Hey Squiffy, though this is not super Stellaris related, but it is BSG and ship model related, I am selling all my old mini's from gaming on e-bay if you want to see the fleets, ( there are like 50 kinds of Colonial and about 30 kinds of Cylon ships pictured), no fighters, maybe get some idea's or see how they are size wise, my name on there is yousaygoodhunting. I hope they inspire! I will miss them.
Roland 23 Mar @ 2:18pm
Better and Better! Should work, Dark Space and NEss add a ton of shipsets, which I use for things that dont have one. The Bioform and Lithoid and Organic Hive sets are great for Buggy enemies as are (SCRIN, Wraith, and a few others) and Mechanical, Cybernetic, Machine, Hierarchy, Kugelraumer, Enigmatic, and Spinuous, I use for various machine exterminators including Cylons but bugs and machines seem to be the thing to fight! LOL they work great as enemies. I wish they fought better.:steamhappy:
RedRapture  [author] 23 Mar @ 10:02am
Dunno about dark space and Ness's mods, but I made it while playing with NSC and it works with NSC and vanilla just fine. As long as something doesn't edit actual system generation, should be good with anything. I know that Planetary Diversity is compatible with it too.
Roland 23 Mar @ 8:03am
Oh good Idea, I if it plays with Dark Space, NSC and Ness's mods all will be ducky! Thanks I look forward to it.
RedRapture  [author] 23 Mar @ 7:57am
Hmmm, suppose I should update my Cyrannus sector mod and republish it...
Roland 22 Mar @ 10:25am
I actually really dont care about anything but the ships I have everything else, I know it is cosmetic. There is a defunct BSG naming list as well and a Cyrannus starting system that seems to break my game. Red Rapture, one isnt born an expert on anything we become by learning and doing. It is actually liberating and joyful to learn and I find history, mythology and legends to be entertaining, who doesnt love s good story? OH man Greek and Norse and Indian mythology are pretty Violent and fun! LOL. Have a great weekend. You say good Hunting!
RedRapture  [author] 21 Mar @ 5:03pm
I don't know ancient european languages and naming, but others seem to have picked up on what I meant.
Roland 21 Mar @ 4:40pm
I think for naming lists eventually I would use a Mythological and Ancient Earth one, I dont see any reason at all that all our ancient myths and gods or heroes wouldnt have been part of the ORIGINAL Tribes of Mankinds scriptures, etc.

Flags are available through a MOD for sure I thought I had it actually.

The ships are definitely the draw here. I asked a buddy who owns Stellaris but does not play it if BSG ships are worthy and he said he wishes he could get them in the 2 space games he plays. I just grabbed the Homeworld 2 collection and the BSG MODS for it, I played those many years ago and they are still great!

All have a good weeekend. Thanks Squiffy. This is HEROIC WORK!:steamhappy:
Squiffy 21 Mar @ 7:43am
makes sense
Roland 21 Mar @ 7:39am
Not Roman names, they are Greek, Apollo, Athena and some Egyptian and ancient Persian too.
Squiffy RedRapture is correct, concentrate on the ships! I like his Battlestar unlock and special idea. But not my show! and I have no idea how hard or possible anything is. I will happily be involved if I can though. Also NOT EVERYTHING in the fleet could have been a battlestar, you would need patrol craft and escorts and Gun line ships, one of the things I saw in most of the designing going on was that everything was a newer bigger badder battlestar. It was irritating to think of carriers escorting carriers. Have a great weekend, Good Hunting!
Squiffy 21 Mar @ 3:26am
Most of those flag mods have a lot more complicated steps from what I’ve seen.

And the name set is not vaguely Roman, far from it.
RedRapture  [author] 20 Mar @ 4:20pm
There are flag mods for colonial flags out there and a naming mod can go off any suitably roman nameset. Focus on the ships brother. I would also say make a special ship class for the battlestars locked behind a tech, but that tech also makes regular battleships much more expensive, but that's just me.
Roland 20 Mar @ 11:08am
Use Blood and Chrome, The Plan, The Mini-Sodes, The ORIGINAL SERIES, and I would look at the BSG SHIP RECOGNIITION CHARTS on the web. Wow, it is happening. Slowly but surely.
Squiffy 20 Mar @ 10:51am
I’m starting small first, smaller class ships are first in order, then bigger classes will be figured out, I’m also going to include Blood and Chrome ships

- as of now I’m mainly assembling things to make a BSG film, after that I’ll redo this whole mod, also including other things like colonial flags and naming conventions (possibly)
Roland 20 Mar @ 8:56am
See, SEE! GOD has a plan! I mean...SQUIFFY has THE PLAN! Oh man there are a ton of designs. I just hope you can Size Mercury/Pegasus as a Titan and Galactica as a Dreadnought or Carrier, I have no idea what you would need or if I could help but I would love too! See others want this shipset too. That was a great show, had good space battle scenes and cool ships! Thanks SQUIFFY!
Squiffy 19 Mar @ 4:17pm
Right now I’m trying to get some models for each class, and I’m learning stellaris coding.
Roland 19 Mar @ 10:19am
@ONE MAN ARMY, it wont as it is unless someone updates it. Which is what Squiffy was endeavoring to do. Closest thing right now is the UCF fleet the look kind of similar. Hopefully this will breath again and with more features and more ships. I can think of 25 Colonial and 25 Cylon ships I would like to add right now and they would be in all classes and sizes. I wish I could reverse 3D print my minitures for wargaming from BSG we would have 250+ ships and fighters and embarked craft galore for both fleets. Yeah or something. Thanks Squiffy good luck.
ONE MAN ARMY 18 Mar @ 10:56am
is there away to get this to work?
Roland 13 Mar @ 9:37am
For those who need a placebo, that is very nice indeed, use the UCF Fleet from Starship Troopers. I am using it as a stopgap. Ironic, since I hate the SST films but love the book and Roughnecks!
Roland 26 Feb @ 9:52am
Nice sounds very drool-worthy. Thanks. Cant wait, wish I was a developer I would love to help.
Squiffy 26 Feb @ 4:33am
I'm working on getting models for the mod and getting some assistance from some developers!
Roland 25 Feb @ 1:55pm
Oh my Gods I cannot wait for this to happen, Ha Ha I will make 12 Cylon NPC player nations and start from Cyrannus as the Colonials, still need technology limiting patches ( no shields no energy weapons) but I might just get my Alternate History Second-Cylon-War after all. I was playing a tabletop campaign using BSG miniatures and i had thousands of Colonials and Cylons, those were good games and the hundreds of models I bought built and painted and played with would totally fit in this shipset it is a shame we cannot digitize all my minitaures and make them the shipset, sort of reverse 3D printing I guess I would conceptualize that as. Any progress Squiffy?
Roland 20 Feb @ 8:29am
Squiffy! My hero! Colonials first. I would make Pegasus (Mercury Class) as a Titan ( at least) so Galactica can be at least a Battleship or Carrier, please? I hope you wan to do the Cylons as well. ANy ships from either series should be considered Canon and usuable and dont rely on Deadlock for anything, you can do better without slitherine. Cool man, best luck! Thanks.
finleygame2004 7 Feb @ 7:07pm
@Squiffy please bro I need a BSG Shipset. My favorite scifi show. Plz add the all 4 systems next to each other
Squiffy 7 Feb @ 5:28am
I'm working on making a Modern BSG Shipset, don't worry
Roland 6 Feb @ 4:28pm
Well someone just released a Cyranus system map to playa BSG campaign with but still we have no ship sets anywhere? How can such a good TV series not have a ship set? it is maddening.
Roland 23 Jan @ 9:20am
Oh I don't know any of the history just that Slitherine and Games Workshop are way too entitled in their thinking, their nasty greed and blatant seizure of others IP's and continually releasing product that I find unfinished, poorly conceived and terribly executed is what I base my hatred off. I dont think Slitherines Battlestars and Colonials were special or even that good, they didnt design most of the ships in the game and theirs are always weak in a stupid contrived way, I laugh when I read the ship synopsis in the content descripotions, the moron who wrote those knows nada about the real military and actual weapons. I do think better ships can be made if someone has the talent and the desire and time. Lots of designs out there.
tredavidson77 22 Jan @ 12:37pm
Didn't the guys that make the newest homeworld mod have some problems and were only able to the the cylon ships even with there own models?
RedRapture  [author] 22 Jan @ 11:58am
To answer all yall's questions, there was a battlestar mod that I worked on before this with a guy who took the models directly from the Deadlock game. Slitherine shut that down hard and would not let us put it up even if we told them we'd directly link the store page in the mod description. They didn't want their models used in a mod. Now if you were to make your own battlestar ship models, they can't complain one bit now can they?
Roland 19 Jan @ 4:36pm
Slitherine is meh, it is always their game their way and it usually is under imposed artificial conditions and contrived. Deadlock was so limited and contrived - so many thing's you cannot do, but few that you can, and many you should have been able to. Editor and shipbuilder just for starters. I hated the game so much after playing it I gave up on it after once through and I had it pre-ordered. The latest Starship Troopers game is another case of contrivance and limiting instead of creativity and imagination and options. Sadly I have learned my lesson never buy Slitherine, but they have not learned any lessons the games still are meh!

Wolfs Shipyards varies heavily, the overdone too much ships are blatantly obvious attempts to out do what is canon over and over, needlessly. I actually think the best designs were the canon ones and the ones from Ravenstar figures.
Roland 19 Jan @ 4:09pm
Hate to double post and sorry, but there should be Gunstars, Escortstars, Strikestars, Patrolstars, not just Battlestars! I have literally thousands of miniature figures of Cylon and Colonial from when I used to wargame this on the tabletop, I have probably over a hundred Colonial designs of all sizes, types and classes, and just slightly less for the Cylons ( that is not counting Fighters it was a big long campaign). Also if you are not making money off of this, the rule is simple do what YOU like. Slitherine can go F%$# themselves, only a loser company goes after a free MOD in court. Also we need lots of larger non carrier type ships because Stellaris does not exactly do the best job with starfighters, I can live with it, still fun, but the big ships are more the focus and the reward I think. Thanks, just my opinions and you can freely ignore them. Have a pleasant weekend. Here is to hoping.:steamhappy:
tredavidson77 19 Jan @ 4:05pm
Also @RedRapture why is universal like this about that game they allowed the guys making the homeworld mod to use some cylon ships so what is with them about it?
tredavidson77 19 Jan @ 4:04pm
Also some of Wolf's Shipyard designs look too kitbashy.
tredavidson77 19 Jan @ 4:03pm
What the hell are you talking about? It expanded on a lot of things in the lore like the Imperial eras Virgon and Leonis with ship designs from that era and I liked a lot of the pre and cylon war ship designs as well.
Roland 19 Jan @ 3:54pm
Meh! Wolfs Shipyards for designs! Deadlock and that whole game is really weak and stupid, read the descriptions of their ships sometime, it reads like a gaming checks and balances sheet not a review of military equipment and its capabilities, obviously written by a non-fan who knows very little about military science and weaponry. That game sucked it was so limited, more an exercise in trying to enjoy it than actually enjoying it. They really blew it when they made that. The Homeworld BSG Mod from years ago was way way better than Slitherine's lackluster and unimaginative "Game". No we can do better.
RedRapture  [author] 14 Jan @ 6:38am
They will not give you permission. They were asked before.
Squiffy 14 Jan @ 4:59am
Deadlock Designs will be included once I get permission
tredavidson77 13 Jan @ 3:43pm
@Roland what about the Deadlock designs? They were good.
