40 cycles wasn't too hard,

Mathematically it should be the minimum. You need a total of 18 reagents from 1 producer and it takes 2 cycles per reagent. 18*2 = 36. It then takes 4 cycles to make and deliver 1 product. 36+4 = 40. So 40 is definitely the minimum possible.

I know the theory in getting the minimum but I can only do it on the easy puzzles like this. :p
Also, for some puzzles the lower bound on cycles may be impossible.

I found a 40-cycle solution, and I'm 90% sure it's impossible to go faster.

Alchemist John: it's possible to do it in 8 area.

I managed 40G, 46 cycles, and 10 area.

In separate solutions, of course.

Got it down to 50 cycles, but I feel like I could do a teensy bit better.

Pretty easy, but a good thing to know how to do! I got 40/159/13. That's definitely the lowest cost, and I'm pretty sure it's the lowest area. I'm kind of amazed that the histogram shows people doing it even faster...

Fun as a calm down puzzle after doing some of the harder ones. :)
