I had a great hard time, but also I'm with the previous two comments-- It still crashes the game to collect the timepiece.

As Friendly Harpy noted, grabbing the time piece crashes the game. Otherwise, lovely!

As of probably the Nyakuza DLC, finishing this map crashes the game. Maybe needs updating if you still update this?

They're designed to be difficult but with some practice you should be able to pull them off almost every time!

This is a very neat level, well designed scenery. Some of the jumps in the section right after seeing the yellow safe are almost impossible though, unless I'm overlooking something.

Has this map been recooked yet? The dlc broke a ton of mod maps on the workshop, I want to know if this one was too before I try it.

That was just wonderful! I had been wanting to use the platforming mechanics to their full potential for the whole main game. This is the first community level I tried and it was exactly what I was looking for. Great job!

Great use of the game's platforming mechanics. Wish the base game had challenge levels like this. Challenging but not all too hard. It also looks neat.

This map was very challenging. Loved the heck out of it. I also played through the entirety using the First Person Mod by Jawchewa. It's completely intuitive and doable in first person, if anyone's interested in some alpine climbing above the clouds!

Really nice design, as people said, neither easy, nor hard, but one thing needs to be mentioned - this map, like oh so many others, has those nano-second-perfect-jump sections. Some people like this, but I for one felt like I was just wasting time figuring out when to do the doublejump into dive into dive cancel, instead of figuring out an actual platforming puzzle. That was disappointing, because, for once I hit a level, with actual design in it! :) In short - there is a good reason why legendary platformer gurus like nintendo never do this kind of stuff (because it is not fun or engaging or interesting).

Aside from that, awesome level :)

Hi there!

Since I got into modding myself recently I thought I should comment on the levels I played so far.

And I gotta say, yours is by far my favorite gameplay wise!
It's not to easy and not to hard - the dives feel really satisfying to land and the level design looks great!

Something like this in a bigger scale would be awesome!
...But it still is in the size it is right now of course ^^

Keep it up!
I'd really like to see more like this!

JGamezOfElzam those things would make the segments too easy in my opinion. I want some jumps to feel challenging at first, but easy to get consistent with some practice (for a difficulty that isn't too punishing).

D Yellow Madness are you referring to the branch? You can't wallrun if you jump too low, because you'll hit the part where the rock isn't a flat surface. I added an invisible collider to make it more consistent, but you still need to jump high enough (try double jumping before wall running).

I had to up my platform game to finish this level. It was fun and challenging without feeling too frustrating and was a good way to get better at some of the jumping mechanics in this game without wanting to tear my hair out from the difficulty. Awesome job.

Something I didn't know last time I played this level that makes this level way funner is that, if you wall jump without double jumping beforehand, you can do an air jump after a wall jump to change direction. I think a lot of people know that though.

You used the cats well unlike the main game. If someone gets blindsided by a cat in this level, it's probably because they weren't paying enough attention.

There's a part where I have to wall jump & then turn & grab a ledge & it works every time but the very next jump is exactly the same yet it literally never works.

I think it's a glitch because I ended up having to use Lilac's Headpiece to get up there but even that inexplicably didn't boost my altitude at all yet, after doing it, I suddenly grabbed the ledge after like 40 times in a row of not being allowed.

The wall jump to a branch directly after that is a huge problem for me too because there are huge patches of the wall where I can't wall jump because something is stopping me from actually touching the wall. That problem exists all over that section but especially at that specific jump.

I enjoyed everything before & after that section though so I rated the level up since my problems seem like glitches. If they're like most glitches I get, I could've solved 'em by miminizing environment detail.

Just beat the level and I've got to say that I really like it. The only thing I'd change is that I would move the 2nd platform in the wall run segment a little lower. I'd also prefer slightly wider platforms than the logs in some areas. The distance is fine, but when Hat Kid grabs the log to pull herself up she'll sometimes automatically jump over the log and fall off the cliff. Other than that, I really like how spaced out the jumps are. It truly shows off Hat Kid's jump abilities.

I have no idea how to get past most of the areas.

I had to use some modded hats to traverse the area. I'm not sure if I know what I'm looking for when exploring the platforms.

fun level. some of the jumps were hard, specifically the first long jump were the "path" kind of splits, but since there was no fall damage it felt rewarding to get through it successfully. a lot of the platforming was very creative. sometimes it felt like i was going out of bounds, only to find out i was going one of the right ways all along LOL
i love the idea of putting a vault code within another vault + i liked the little dialogue the characters had

If those jumps are inconsistent you probably are doing them wrong, and got lucky the times you did make them! I find the jumps to be pretty consistent, especially with the added rectangular collision boxes so that you can't land unhappily in a corner of the mesh.

Well I finished it but some of those jumps after the cannon were making me salty with how inconsistent they felt, doing the same jump only for it to work a portion of the times. Was glad to not take health damage when falling off however.

I made it from the area on the left to this bush by doing a sprinting double jump where you let go of sprint just in time to keep the horizontal distance with a double jump... but surely that can't be what you're supposed to do. You can also land sorta under the bush with just a running jump if you land a little bit under this bush there is some solid invisable ground under the tree bit but that also doesn't quite feeel like what you meant !

@Tentacle Grape: That was the initial route. The tree jump section leading to the cat arena (and the hidden token) were added after that route. You can take a shortcut in either direction :)

I revisited this map, noticed that I missed the token. I must say, the jump path to getting the token (without Lilac's headpiece) was well hidden. great map.

@author's playvideo: after the second jump, it's actually possible to go to the right side and skip the tree jumps. the pons helped in how to execute the jumps.

If this was a hard level, then you people haven't seen Wet Mushroom Heaven.

I'm by no means great at this game, and the fact that I could do it without falling, means it's far from almost impossible. Yes, I've had some practice, but you're not supposed to make it on your first try anyways, so the same would count for you.

That said, everyone has their own difficulty level, and if this level is too difficult for you then so be it. Other people like the challenge, and it's not like a level can please every single person. I'm sorry this level wasn't to your liking! Perhaps you can give the level another go after you try some easier levels first!

You're not supposed to try to jump from the first to the last obstacle. Of course those are out of reach. Have you tried jumping to the objects closer to you? A lot of people have already completed this map!

Lesson learned, never ask if something can get any harder. Great job on this level; it really takes advantage of Hat Kid's smooth movement.
