Well, for Crete map, you are forced to play 1v1, and there is not any colony to conquer on the map.

Age of mythology ToTD already has a black forest type map, deep jungle.

also these maps are aimed to be faster paced supermacy maps, black forest would be far too closed off and defensive, sorry :/

You don't need to add the outer color ring in the .TGAs (i.e delete it) for the Random Map icons, as the background is already loaded beforehand, this will also increase compabtibility with mods that have different main menu backgrounds
