Can confirm there's something terribly wrong with the pack file. Tons of tables in it unrelated to diplomacy.

Warning: This mod should only have diplomacy database file in it, but modder forgot/ left tons of other files from his other mods or those are just original old templates. That's why people have UI problems here.

Want to be clear the Otomo DLC unit issue is not connected to this mod at all, I had that with pure vanilla.

Be warned, there are alot of UI and unit UI errors from using this Mod. I found that all otomo DLC units had no name and had a bugged out gunpowder building chain while using this mod.

This mod somehow makes enemy 'shattered' units invincible, and they end up glitchkilling all my guys.

@La vida es una lenteja: create your vassals once realm divide is over (conquer the -short campaign- 25 provinces or the -long campaign- 40 ones, and once you get to the victory cinematic you're good. All new vassals you create will not have the "realm divide" malus modifier.

Two weird glitches/bugs:screen goes dark when hovering over matchlock units in custom battle prep, and gives yari samurai ability to spearwall.

it affects every faction enemy ally vassal etc. it just makes the maximum debuff to relations 120. so if someone is friends with you for the whole game they won't betray you instantly

Have these new caps also influence on my vassals? I prefer vassals in my playthroughs due to not being dragged into wars of allies.

The otomo glitch is still present, and yes it is this mod, somehow. Does anyone know how to manually add their text back into the mod then?

I think I traced an incompatibility back to this mod, where I want to use a different mod that makes matchlock units more realistic and I can't because this mod seems to be doing sth else that overwrites any changes to matchlock units. It's kinda sad because I think Shogun2 does not work properly in terms of diplomacy without this mod, but it also malfunctions in terms of units if I do use this mod.

@PEACEKEEPER Yep, it's this mod. It's missing the Otomo gun unit texts. I had to manually plug them in to fix it.

why hate on that carbonific, in game without yari wall samuri lose to ashigaru in yari wall formation, that makes no sense, take a better trained and armed force and not teach them a basic formation? it would be throwing money away.

I'm downvoting this mod because it also gives Yari Samurai the Spear Wall ability, which is not what I wanted. Please don't sneak unadvertised changes into your mods like this!

This mod for some reason removes Otomo unit card text like the Donderbuss Cavalry and Matchlock Ashigaru.

Aside from the tweaks mentioned in the description (trade, alliance and RD), are the values for other diplomatic factors (e.g. gifts, marriage, agent actions, honor etc.) the same?

@baker - you can literally just use PackFileManager and edit the values yourself. I know I tweaked the values because this mod although helping deal with AI not honoring aliances, was not doing enough so I tuned it up and now pockets of Alliances last until people run out of enemies to kill.

Also warring states is china; this is a game set in Japan.

Alliances getting worse over time makes sense.
During the warring states period everyone went to war with each other over little reasons. The longer the alliance the more likely the other side will be likely to break it. So what do you do? You place more forces on the border "Just in case", but those border forces will then be seen as a threat by the alliance and they'll place some forces on their border and a vicious cycle ensues.

Not only that but as a player, you're likely to be invading a lot of lands with your alliance right? Well your allies would be worried about your growing power too.
