It's a shame this mod is basically dead, it's systems were quite unique, I don't think many others have tried doing the reload ammo system like this one did.

Wow, blast from the past! I'm sorry that it doesn't seem to be working well anymore. This may be one of the last mod efforts I made in Arma before dropping the game altogether due to going back to work after the inital covid shutdown. I was ALMOST done with rebuilding an excellent AI mod as well, but never finished it. Alas, it's unlikely that I'll ever come back to this level of Arma work again due to the sheer learning curve I'd have to repeat, and no longer having the time to put into it.

It's not my mod, I just uploaded it to the workshop with permission from the original mod creator.

I used to. Back when it was first released. And it worked right.
Back when you used to be able to load two different ammo types in the two separate magazines and switch back and forth. Now? Not so much. Why not fix it?

Same problem as Shudderfly. Reloading or swapping ammo type completely rearranges my whole equipment inventory at random, from rucksack to uniform and vest. Nothing stays where it was put. Like the mod. Don't like what it does.

its literally a button you tick off in ace mod settings in game.
normally you have to shoot a body on the ground with an entire extra magazine of any weapon when they are incapacitated in ace. to fix this, all you have to do is make dying in ace settings based on total damage done to the npc, it takes like 2 minutes to find.

in ace i always make it so a high level of total damage results in death for npc's regardless of incapacitation and the weapon seems to work well for me.

well i think in ace settings you can change incapacitation rate and total damage before incapacitation and death

That's pretty cool, I didn't know that. But I seriously hope people don't buy a real gun based on one comment in an Arma III workshop mod. Always do some research first, and PLEASE don't cringe us all out by shooting up a school full of 12 year old's with one of these.

I picked one of these up once they became inexpensive in Canada a few years ago and I love it. The reliability issues that gave it a bad rap when it first hit the market were ironed out, it's a wonderful piece of kit.

Nice to see it in Arma, good work.

Hey, this mod seems to totally overwrite the FxCartridge_65_caseless cartridge class, meaning some modded pistols eject shotgun shells (every single RH Pistols pistol), is there any way you would be able to fix this?

I scanned every file included and tested them on my own as well, it is a perfect remedy for this old but good mod and has no viruses.

I'm kind of getting carried away.... adjusted the 00 buckshot and slugs to real world ballistics, I'm most of the way through making a JSRS Sound Mod patch for it; I'm creating versions that have an integrated laser instead of the flashlight; I created a custom class in the SMA mod for an Eotech/Magnifyer combo that's zeroed at 50m (otherwise the shot pattern is about 18" above the point of aim); I reduced the buckshot spread to that of real world patterning..... um... I can't think of anything else at the moment but I may have forgotten a tweak or two. It's 4:45 AM... time for bed.

Okay well, in my experience the mod is very well designed but yes this error "No entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgWeapons.muzzle_mzls_smg01 = 1'." does occur.
To my knowledge the error is linked to an update to ARMA 3 a while ago by the devs that created a similar error for many different weapon mods including the 'CUP Weapons' mod back in the day.
If I knew how to fix this error, I would, but I am not the mod creator nor a programmer.
If you know how to fix this error, I will be willing to update this mod.

I had permanent crashes on saved games (main campaign) upon using the mod. I tried to load my mods in any order and didn't manage to get rid of the error message on main menu. Both crashes and error message disappeared the second I uninstalled the mod. I so think the crash is linked to said loading error.
It's kinda frudtrating because i love the weapon, terrific job on it!

As fun and cool-looking as this shotgun is, i'd advise against using the mod.

I get some kind of error in the main menu (but it doesn't prevent the shotgun from appearing in the virtual arsenal and whatnot) which says "No entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgWeapons.muzzle_mzls_smg01 = 1'."

What is up with that?

Well, I only found this mod a few months ago, so I can't say whether its been bugged after any updates, but it is definitely a great mod.

Nah, in earlier versions of ARMA, this mod worked perfectly. My last use was with 1.6? as this mod had so many issues with it. Sights not lining up, constant reloading sounds, reloading issues, and many more.

Maybe with CBA, UTS-15, and plain ARMA it still works, but with common mods and the last few revs of ARMA, it does not work as it should.

And I checked, this is the same version as the ArmaHolic mod, which is OVER THREE YEARS OLD!

The scripts within the PBO need to be updated for it to function as it should.

It is sad too, this is a very nice and good mod...at one time...

do you mean like it shows 0 clips during reload? if so thats because the ammunition is pooling so you never have half loaded clips like you would with an assault rifle. quite well done on blackpixxels part.

it is a nice mod. unless it has been updated, there are MANY issues in the current arma. i used this mod for months, until arma was upgraded and now, its nothing but issues. the biggest is constant reloading. the reloading will show zero rounds, all sorts of 'weird' things.

it is a nice mod though.

A shotgun mod this well made almost feels like it belongs in the vanilla game.
