Man I've been waiting for this forever.
Typical_asian_scarecrow 13 Mar, 2020 @ 3:59pm
good old days when you had to manually rack a shell into the shotgun
leemønguy 12 Oct, 2019 @ 11:31am
Oh, ok thanks

If you mean that, the first mod uses audio from hickok45, second uses audio from iraqveteran8888, and this one uses mostly audio from gunsoftheworld, as their audio sounds very smooth in my opinion.

As in the other 2 real gun sounds?
leemønguy 12 Oct, 2019 @ 10:55am
Whats the difference between this and the other 2 mods?
Oscar Mike 1 Jul, 2019 @ 3:06am
micro cutted attack and shaved the peaks, so it sounds more like surpressed reverb.
Col. Caboose  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 8:23am
@Dank Hill Thats what i thought about doing, but if youve seen my Welcome To Iraq mod, the suppressors are very inconsistent and most of them are extremely low quality.
Mr. Hamburgers 15 Apr, 2018 @ 3:42am
You could do a suppressor sound overhaul to work along side with this mod. Suppressed weapons of different calibers have unique sounds. Like a suppressed 9mm would be quieter than a suppressed 308 rifle.
Col. Caboose  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 1:28pm
@SUKMYMFTOEZ Most guns irl sounds pretty much the same aside from like you said, ammo mechanical ect, but although ive had little experience with the weapons in the game (litteraly only the Mosin and M45), from the weapons ive shot aside from volume they all sound nearly exactly the same (aside from again mechanical).
EaglexOne 12 Apr, 2018 @ 5:05am
Most guns sound relatively the same. Its a loud POP and the echo in the distance, obviously barrel length, brake and ammo make a difference but non of these sound like a proper rifle or pistol round
Mr.Fox 6 Apr, 2018 @ 4:42am
Wait for the silencer sound
Mr. Hamburgers 27 Jan, 2018 @ 3:38pm
Everyone is complaining, but they still sound better than most vanilla gun sounds in other games, especially counter strike.. he did a good job
Marek 4 Nov, 2017 @ 2:16pm
totally realistic yeeea
Voice 1 Nov, 2017 @ 3:37pm
they aren't soft. They just sound soft because its recorded. the actual sound will make u piss your pants
Col. Caboose  [author] 1 Nov, 2017 @ 1:28pm
@hawky_™ Thats sorta the point. These are natural, unmodified sounds.
SupaSwope 1 Nov, 2017 @ 9:16am
sounds bad imho
hawky_ 31 Oct, 2017 @ 9:57pm
Meh... Didn't know the sound is this soft.
Voice 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:59pm
are you planning on making a sound pack from movies? if yo u do, I recommend the 13 hours.
Voice 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:59pm
its ok, everybody has different opinions. You don't have to change it.
Col. Caboose  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:47pm
@John Sick Im (sorta) fine with the current M40A1 sound, so i wont be changing that.
Col. Caboose  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:43pm
@John Sick I could make a seperate mod for a different sound for the M40A1, if thats what you mean. And to be honest you could choose which one you want, give me a weapon in one of the videos, and i could put it in. Otherwise, there are plenty of weapons shown in the video((s) part 1 + 2).
Voice 31 Oct, 2017 @ 6:39pm
Very sick man, good job!

Is there a replacement for the m40a1 sound? I didn't really like the one in the pack. But I loved the m16 and m4 carbine, as well as mk18 and galil.
Blue Light 31 Oct, 2017 @ 8:54am
Lol, sorry, I'm a 91F Small Arms/Artillery repair in the Army :P It would be a bad thing if I didn't know. I'll check out your recommendation!
Col. Caboose  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 5:01am
@Blue Light I won't be making suppressor sounds any time soon. BUT i do reccomend using the Super realistic suppressor sounds https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=507485206
Col. Caboose  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 4:12am
@Blue Light Dam you and your backround knowledge.
Blue Light 30 Oct, 2017 @ 10:39pm
Oh too easy, the M203 clamps on the barrel itself while the handguard is wedged under the front handguard ring and the read slip ring. There's supposed to be a tab that clampsunder the barrel nut as well, but a lot of people install that incorrectly, probably what happened here. Excellent sound mod btw, any chance for suppressor sounds?
Col. Caboose  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 1:24pm
@Blue Light The question is, if his handguard is coming off, how is his M203 still on?
Blue Light 30 Oct, 2017 @ 12:36pm
man I just realized that that dude's upper handguard on his M4 is coming off as he's shooting. Thought it looked odd.
Sniper-san 29 Oct, 2017 @ 9:46pm
NWI has environmental sounds like most source games. not sure how they achieve this and why it doesnt work with custom sound mods as Half Life 2 had it work fine (outdoor echos)
Col. Caboose  [author] 29 Oct, 2017 @ 4:43pm
@Bob Ewell Does NWI have different sounds for indoors and outdoors? No. Is there a way to do that? Probably, but i dont know how. To me their fine as they are.
grove 29 Oct, 2017 @ 4:39pm
sounds can sound different indoors
Col. Caboose  [author] 28 Oct, 2017 @ 8:43pm
@JXLVII If you have the vpk file, you should be able to just move it into the custom folder (if you done have it make it), although if that doesnt work extract the folders/files from the vpk and move them into the custom folder. If that doesnt work, do what i do. make a designated mod (i.e. do publish make is random stuff except for the vpk), make it private, and whenever your testing a new mod, just update the mod with a new vpk and badabing badaboom.
JXLVII 28 Oct, 2017 @ 3:27pm
It's a mod that I made, using a .vpk file
Col. Caboose  [author] 28 Oct, 2017 @ 7:07am
@JXLVII Sure, Is it just An addon on the workshop? or is it a mod that you made?
JXLVII 27 Oct, 2017 @ 9:49pm
Hey, mind telling me how to get my workshop addon in the insurgency custom folder instead of the steamapp/workshop folder?
Creamy Maggot Milk 27 Oct, 2017 @ 1:07pm
Great work, sir.
