Hi Purple44, I realized that the Red-Bone Spiral Figure 8 and the Nevada Depot Figure 8 tracks glitch every time I race on them, but every time at a different part of the tracks. Is there a way to fix this issue?

While going through my mods trying to figure out whats causing instant dirt bugs, i noticed this map pack causes a damage reduction from all sources, meaning flying into a wall at 100 mph only gives you 1-3 damage, even on realism and extreme, when it should be a wreck or 12 damage on normal.

This could most likely be conflicting mods on my end, so if you add this with other track packs, keep this in mind.

Or could go to the Wreckfest Workshop folder for Fig8 mod: \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\228380\1672504126 And delete the \data\vehicle folder. That get rid the custom skins on your side. Think this should work.

You would be good until I update the Fig8 track mod. Right now, I think I done doing new tracks for Fig8 mod. Have no new ideas.

But if Steam decide to update Fig8 mod when you start WF, could go a step further and move whole Fig8 mod folder to where Steam installed Wreckfest and drop mod under the \mods folder. Then you be safe from Steam trying update Fig8 mod.

Well, you do know I host my tracks mods online, second Sat of the month? Fig8, Gokart Plus and Cops and Robbers. And it the only place I get to show off my Big Purple skin for the warwagon! I don't race my track mods offline.

Just put them into a different mod? Zero reason for skins to be in a "track pack", it's a waste of storage space.

Bugbear has to fix.

Try running grass at low or disable to help stop this error. Also try running with only 23 cars, only 22 bots. I been working on my Suicide track mod and I crash WF a few times with 23 bots. Going to only 22 bots seem stop the crashing.

Cool, thanks! I tried to not be too harsh but still be honest, they were just quick notes as I turned some laps on each. I haven't played online aside from a private server with friends so will have to check that out. :cozybethesda:

About AI, I don't race my tracks offline, except in the making of the tracks. I race them online. So I spend enough time to getting the AI to race my tracks OK, but AI are blind, do not see any objects and may not brake well for some my tracks. AI not smart enough to race some them.

About Extreme Fig8 No Grass track, did you disable the grass setting in WF? This fig8 track is loading 2 trackmaps, not just 1. Game can not handle these 2 tracks and 24 cars with grass enabled. If you have a beefy computer ( i7 8700, 1060 6GB ) you can have grass enabled and run about 6 AI cars.

I do like doing offroad fig8 tracks, so have to deal with rough terrain. :)

I recently picked up Wreckfest with some friends and was looking for more figure 8 tracks for us to play and ran across this track pack. I played each track with AI to see if it would be worth having everyone I play with also download it. Here are my notes from each track. Do with them as you may, but will hopefully help other people know what to expect.

Overall, I think less is more. There are only about three or four tracks that I truly enjoyed playing and would consider playing again with others. Otherwise the tracks seem overly long, needlessly complex, and sometimes cluttered with obstacles and bottlenecks.

Current version of Wreckfest uses new surface files and they make my "old" tracks with asphalt surface, bumpy now. There nothing I can do about that, except maybe load old surface files, but then that label to mess up current WF tracks.

Ps: Why are these converted maps so bumpy, ever tarmac seems to be quite jumpy. Self made ones and imported even.

Copying 2 tracks putting one slanted then placing pathing around. Nice idea but maybe use poles instead of arrows pointing out the paths. Colored pathing be colored differently on each side of the barriers then maybe path around a Stanley Parable™ Adventure Line™ to get rid of this 4th circle confusion. The Line™ should help with that. Love the idea, funny how you spawn not realizing that the map is slightly diagonal. Maybe port some of these maps to diagonal by itself would be a great gamemode by itself.

* Retweaked Extreme Fig8 track to work again with current version of Wreckfest. The 2D spectators were invisible, so had to replace them with 3D spectator versions. And End sent me a new Dakar base file with half the palm trees and rocks remove and trackmap solid again. Save me having to do it by hand, one at a time! Thx End. :)

* A few of the tracks, with guardrails were ghosting, So had to load new collision files to get them solid again. But the Pinehills Raceway Fig8 track, I was unable fix, for now.

* With the Aug 27 update, a few track had some missing textures, I needed to fix.

* Had delete curbs from old trackmaps, because with new Build, they were resetting my car!

* Found out today the collision walls for the guardrails don't work any more. Cars will drive through rails now. :( It going take me awhile go through the tracks and replace old collison walls, with new versions.

* Had to remove Extreme Fig8 track for now, until I can fix it.

Ya, custom damage file effects the whole game.

The problem I had was that it carried over to the entire game. Whether I played single player or online multiplayer with friends, no matter the track or cars, we would only do 1 or 2 damage per hit. Even if the hits were big. I disabled every one of my mods on by one until I got to this one, which disabling it fixed it.

I do run a modify damage file so the cars will last longer in the Fig8 and Suicide races. So cars do damage up slower than normal mode in stock game.

This mod doesn't work correctly. After the update, you will do practically no damage to cars IN ANY race. Entirely breaks the game as of right now.

* update to the Extreme fig8 track. Now all 4 alt routes work correctly

* put down some ghost alt route arrows to help mark best route to jump to barn bridge and move aisector back some, so if come up short, get reset back on the track instead of the ramp, back car up a bit more, you ca get enough speed to make the jump with warwagon

* now got gas bottles, exploding straw bale and out house, time to explode when cars come by

* made Extreme fig8 track more AI friendly, some AI finish 1 la

This Sat, April 13, the Figure 8 Track Pack - P44 will be part of the group of mods we will use for this month Saturday Night Mods night. So we can race a stable version of the Red-Bone Spiral Fig8 track. Last month, track was crashing Wreckfest, so we did not get to race it online.

* Thanks to Sam for making me a new turnblock object that stable and does not crash Wreckfest, like the Stuntfest version does! Tracks Red-Bone Spiral Fig8, Fig8 Derby Ramp Jump are now stable!! :)

* The 3 tracks that have round abouts you can take in both directions, now have alt routes, so no red circle.

Unfortunately the new spiral fig track was crashing the server, just changing to the Red-Bone track would crash server :( Did some testing afterwards, found what crashing the new spiral track online, it was the Stuntfest, 2 curve cement objects use at the hill in middle of track!

Track load OK offline for me, online the spiral track unstable.

I can't fix stupid AI, that out my hands. My tracks are meant to be race online, with real players, if I can get them load!! AI want to race on simple tracks.

Hosted Fig8 mod last Sat at the Saturday Night Mods night event. Bad news, some tracks crashing when we started the race and the cars started banging together triggering a crash of server. :( I see this happen offline too, just not as bad, usually offline, a second start of crash track, race will run without crashing.

Tracks that did not crash online: new Derby double Fig8, Warehouse Derby, Oval 1 long Figure 8, Figure 8 Derby Ramps, Hurtfull Five and Tarmac Figure 8.

Making it around eventually does not equal properly functioning AI

Pretty sure most AI make it around the track route first lap. But AI not smart, they can run into objects since they can not see them. And can get confuse after getting hit at a crossing and take off down the wrong path.
