Nope i didnt, its just pistons tensing up, releasing and one tick later releasing their ammo
Vickal 5 Sep, 2020 @ 12:06pm
ok thanks for the info. Another question: i was actually searching for the gun based on the comment you did on the SPG-17 Chamäleon Tank. You said you reverse-engineered it's gun. I can't find it however. Did you publish it?
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 5 Sep, 2020 @ 11:35am
The gun relied on mechanisms that were removed ages ago
Vickal 5 Sep, 2020 @ 11:25am
The gun is not working? Otherwise, really NICE tank. Love how the tracks work!
Stabs 10 Apr, 2018 @ 3:04pm
You should make a collection of all of your tanks!
Wackaboom 13 Mar, 2018 @ 8:34am
Ok, i was looking into that, but I had issues with doing it quick enough for the projectile to be effective. But based on this information, i guess ill give it another shot, and maybe i will have another clangy additon to the NMC's experimental weapons division. Thx for the help.
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 13 Mar, 2018 @ 8:29am
its really just changing offset. you could do that with a bunch of timer blocks
Wackaboom 13 Mar, 2018 @ 8:26am
Ok, so scripting them are still good then? In that case, i guess ill just have alter my code? Gods don't share fire with man I suppose? ;)
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 13 Mar, 2018 @ 7:49am
i remade the guns past the update, and they are extremely strong now. I would consider this build just very outdated
Wackaboom 13 Mar, 2018 @ 7:04am
Hi!
Bruce: What is it that stops the gun from working now? I have tried to build a similar construction (gun) with both timers and scripts, and i think there might be some hope in i timerbased build? What do you think?
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 4:32am
tank, yes, gun no
shadowallen 16 Feb, 2018 @ 6:11pm
does this still work?
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 6 Feb, 2018 @ 3:45am
use merge blocks
gerokzule 5 Feb, 2018 @ 9:55pm
how do you copy past track segments when im dong mine it wont let me paste near rotors.
Husker 28 Jan, 2018 @ 1:31pm
Do you have any tips on attaching tracks when designing tanks? I always fiddle around with a ship and landig gears to somehow try and pull the track over the wheels. Incredibly tedious

@Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee

Thanks!

CTH2004 12 Jan, 2018 @ 3:52pm
Don't you mean Clang More?

Ba-da-bing Ba-da-Boom
Mike Loeven 30 Dec, 2017 @ 9:03pm
Based on the description shouldn't the tank have been named Clangmore instead of Claymore
LEOSAURE 29 Dec, 2017 @ 6:04am
Publish the Chaingun in Large Grid ?
Alien 480 9 Dec, 2017 @ 7:40pm
are you ever going to make an independant rotor gun?
TheSilverInfinity 24 Nov, 2017 @ 2:56pm

Alb 18 Nov, 2017 @ 11:52pm
The tank tracks seem to work fine still. Mortar is laughably broke now.

RIP safety-lock. Too good for us.
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 18 Nov, 2017 @ 5:21am
yeah, the new update ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Aaaaand broken.
Alysius 6 Nov, 2017 @ 7:19am
been having fun with this. i also tried to paste this in DS just for curiosity purposes lol
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 31 Oct, 2017 @ 8:48am
not more than on any other build
Dave 31 Oct, 2017 @ 7:44am
That's a lot of rotors... did you encounter clang trying to build this?
Vollstrecker 30 Oct, 2017 @ 6:45pm
NICE!
Rhea.licious 30 Oct, 2017 @ 5:49pm
Okay Bruce I see how it is. Anyways, are the ships in Rdav's Fleet Command II video going to be uploaded to the workshop?
McTec Ind. 30 Oct, 2017 @ 1:44pm
nice one! as to be expected from the master mechanic. :)
Flygtur 30 Oct, 2017 @ 9:43am
I like how you can be a scientist within a game and discover new ways of making weapons!
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 8:00am
sorry
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 8:00am
nope
Oneill_SFA 30 Oct, 2017 @ 6:34am
yeah, I'd like to replicate this sort of gun for a big build I'm doing. any chance of a tutorial?
Rhea.licious 29 Oct, 2017 @ 7:46pm
How does this work? I want to make clang-gun fighters now!
SirAndrewTheThird 29 Oct, 2017 @ 6:39pm
@SovietGiraffe, ART first made the abrasor (rotor gun) long ago. It never did much damage, until the multi-threaded physics update came out. After that, it did massive damage. TSU soon heard about it, and was able to both obtain it, and alongside ART, get its RPM to its theoretical maximum. Both groups now use abrasors as a low-tier superweapon, as much more powerful weapons exist. It is not of high value to either group, so its about time the abrasor is now out in the public. (probably already was, but noone noticed)

And I thought I was a Space Engineer..
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 29 Oct, 2017 @ 3:53pm
its basically a rotor launcher, just optimized. not using them magic pistons
TOOT 29 Oct, 2017 @ 3:44pm
Hmm, seems awfully familiar to the stuff ART and TSU made...

Either way, great job, love the tank design!
Dr. Distortion 29 Oct, 2017 @ 2:09pm
Rotor guns???? Wow. Great job!
Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee  [author] 29 Oct, 2017 @ 1:54pm
had to fit recoil compensation thrusters and a automatic rotorlock
Rdav 29 Oct, 2017 @ 1:26pm
This is damn awesome, really good job on getting the rotor gun stable
Strelok 29 Oct, 2017 @ 1:17pm
Behold the power of Clang! The mighty lord!

Cool weapon dude
