Agreed..... Half my time is taken trying to find units I like the look of, have reasonable stats (e.g not crazy OP like many mods!) and also that are not part of a mechanics changing overhaul.

I just want to add units to the Vanilla / base game that give some more variety! TO add flavor!

This hasn’t been updated in a very long time because it has been replaced by my newer mod, the Military Orders of Bretonnia. Sadly, I have no plans to update this mod.

I do intend to update that mod when my schedule permits it. I do not have plans to update this mod anytime soon.

I just wanted to say thank you for this mod!!! Thank you for the effort mr mod author. Bretonnia to me is just a lackluster of a faction compared to their cousins the Empire. They literally have gunpowder and tanks they could use to fight other factions. I understand that bretonnia is supposed to have the weakest infantry but their knights and cavalry are also weak af. How the hell are they supposed to fight friggen giants and hordes of enemy infrantries. so I definitely appriciate a mod like this one.

Hedge and House hold knights tier 3 is more balance.
Fleur de lys, White and Grove would be cool with a cap of 4. I like unique building but they got to be worth it
A caster lord with a 2 hands sword is nice!!

The new Lord type sounds great! My favorite lords in the games are the fighter/spellcasters like Mannfred. Adding more like him just = YAY! Also glad to hear a vanilla version is coming out been missing the Orders when not using SFO

Version 2 is nearing completion. The final unit cards and buildings need to be added and some balancing for the vanilla and SFO versions must be done.

I decided to add new paladin variants to the campaign and they just need to be tested. Most importantly, I decided to work on a new lord type. A caster lord with a 2h sword whose mount options are the warhorse only. He will not be duelist but will have good defensive stats and regeneration. His spells with be life and heavens, with a focus on debuffs and defensive spells. His melee tree will have “stand your ground”. His army tree will be the standard bretonnian tree.
His campaign tree will have some skills from the HE that focus on upkeep and replenishment. Let me know what you think

Ideas for balancing

Tier 3
-hedge knights
-house hold knights
- slightly better than foot squires. The only unit that does not require a unique building. Cap starts at 2, each new lvl2 Smith will add +2 to both caps.

Teir 4
-knights of the fluer de lys
-knights of white
-knights of the grove
Each will require its own unique building. Initial cap of 1 and each building adds +1. Can be built anywhere They will be a little worse chaos chosen and around the same as sword masters.

-hollow knights

-all mounted knights
-the orders listed here can only be built after constructed certain landmarks, and to increase the cap you have to build a unique building only available in faction capitols. Try start with a cap of 2 and each building adds +2, the cav starts at 1 and each building adds +1. They will be some of the best infantry in the game. The mounted versions of the tier 4 orders will be better than questing knights, but not as good as grail knights. The mounted versions of the teir 5 will be some of the best cav in the game. Their rarity will ensure you still use regular Bretonnia cav.

The peasants that are in the Knightly units are not the same farmer peasants that make up the men at arms. They live and work on the orders land and most are tradesmen (masons, craftsmen, vintners, horse breeders and trainers, professional soldiers, etc) They are all recruited and must either provide a service the order needs or would make an exceptional soldier and can be trained to assist tradesmen.

They can choose to buy better weapons or armor (never as good as even the lowest knights), but most do not own either and are given their gear which is property of the order. You can see a variety of armor choices in the unit models. The order being as wealthy as they are and being much smaller than a lord’s levy, can equip their men much better.

Knights who join have to make a large donation to do so, and the order used profits to invest in and trade commodities and luxury goods as well as provide financial services such as banking and investment.

Knights of the grove - mists of the lady (aura -8 attack debuff pasive)
Knights of the tower: apotheosis

Heroes of Bretonnia - heroic killing blow
Hedge knights - rally
House hold knights -rally

Mounted versions will be the same plus lance formation
