I recooked this and played it again. For a tower climb, it still holds up. Not too challenging, but some fun platforming. However, upon recooking, the skybox breaks, so someone who knows what they're doing will have to fix that. The Nocturne elements themselves are a bit superficial, just a couple Jack Frosts, the textures, and some music now. I'd like to see this expanded upon.

I remember this, I played it when it first came out. While it may be broken, luckily it's an easy fix. All @hatty (@author?) has to do is recook it. The files are all in the workshop download.

I wouldn't mind replaying this, but from what I remember it's your usual tower climb with the psychedelic Amala skin and music.

This is one of the cooler levels I've seen on the workshop. I like that you turned off fall damage considering how hard the jumps are. I did feel that, just based on length of time and number of difficult jumps between them, you had the checkpoint frequency perfect for the first half of the level but needed maybe 2 more near the end.

Also, as you get near the top there's a few points where you can fall and then land in a previous area, which doesn't send you back to your checkpoint.

psycadelic. i don't think the background textures worked for me but maybe thats a good thing LOL
i loved this its such a good level. the jumps were challenging, the checkpoints were placed in good locations, it's really good that you got rid of fall damage especially for that one falling puzzle. i liked the one place were you have to crouch under. theres not many levels/puzzles were one has to do that, or do see thru wall jumping when theres fire on the other side, so that was sweet!

i had the no-bonk badge and i think that maybe was helpful? maybe? considering how close one gets to the walls while climbing. 10/10 use of audiable voice lines and music once one gets the time piece. i know that its persona and all but the "plot" really reminds me of the one level in spyro, sunny villa, were the lion tells you to go to the top of the tower for his love, only for her to say she has a restraining order. can anyone say nostalgia? but yeah, 10/10

it's loading for most people and not loading for some people, very strange. it's a bug with the game, i can't do anything about it

i liked some of the jumps, they felt calculated and always led to ledge grab, had my butt clenched bro. I didn't like the red texture that much that much, but since it's a reference to a game i'll give it a pass. since everything was red, it was kinda hard to gage the distance during jumps.

I liked that puzzle with the 3 rows of falling platform, fas fun and original. Only part that i got stuck on for a while is the one with the flame spitters and 2 hooks, i couldn't see the second hook so i didn't know where to after the first 1.

i personally think that the checkpoint placing could have been better. Since you don't take damage after falling, why not put a checkpoint after every section?

The invis apline skyline hook in the begining felt a bit like lazy modding. You could have made a little sliding section that has you dodging holes and obstacles.

7/10 from me

UPDATE 2: I removed the gap on jump that people were experiencing the bug on. I talked to the devs, and the bug is on their end, so the jump's gap will be gone until it's hotfixed.

UPDATE: I fixed the textures that people are saying is straining their eyes, and I added some more pons in places that players may need guidance in.

I climbed the whole tower and the piece of crap snowman guy at the top told me he was fine. Next time a snowman kid asks me to help him out, Imma ask for a forward payment. >:(

1. I don't know if it's a gltich or if I missed a jump, but the first grapple hook threw me beyond the first platform. Also there's now nothing to grapple onto when it respawns you. Most of my deaths ended up being from Hat Kid's refusal to wall run sometimes. Decent level though. I don't remember if the red-black scheme was this grating in the original Amala dungeon? I don't know how you'd tweak it, though. Thanks for including the Jack Frost Salesman who threatens suicide, nice little reference.

@pyrris you should really turn off camera assist if you're having that problem. camera assist loves to hug every wall for some ungodly reason.

100% Empyrean has a point but only in one section of the level that you shouldn't have to spend too much time in. Overall I think its a solid level and enjoyed it even though i'm fucking garbage at this game.

It's hard but not for the right reasons, I feel like i had to wrestle with the camera for a lot of the jumps and that was honestly 50% of the difficulty. It could be very fun and still challenging, I like most of the ideas but you need to also design the level for the camera as well as the player.

My other issue is the Texture, I don't know the source of which the game was based on but the texture is grating on the eyes, but a minor issue for me.

But I did enjoy most parts of the level, it was fun.

great level with some clever ideas, nice custom model too

just wish i knew how to beat matador
