Thats unfortunate... I mean for the most part, a bright wizard with burning head will get the job down, but for other factions that kind sucks.
I know that units can level up on there own in combat (Helmgart current has 3 units of handgunners that are rank 6 from me holding that pass)
Hell I even leveled up the Captain who was there (dude has a chevron over his unit card!)

When codding for garrisons I dont believe there is any table to set their ranks so its probably locked to zero. Other wise I would be able to edit the Wizards you get as garrisons but I have never been able to that.

My thoughts exactly. ITs always a shame to see a garrison that has been sitting in your capital or inner cities never rank up even after 70 turns. I cant seem to a find a mod that allows for vetted garrisons though...

No just units in lords armies. Figuring out a way to get veted garrison units would be cool though.

Question, when you say all units, you mean the garrison units themselves as well?
Example:The garrison units for a city such a grunburg? or just your Lords armies?

Probably gonna come back to the modding scene in a couple months. I'm busy with life things atm. Warhammer 2 is almost done with its update shelf life so it should be safe to get back into making things with out fear of a patch coming out and breaking everything. Right now the mod is up just incase any other modder wants to use the pack file as a reference for their work.

This mod is way out of date by like 4 DLC's. I'm gonna come back and remake this thing once CA stops adding content and breaking it.

when i run this and the required mod my game starts crashing after what i can only guess is because the ai is getting max garrison and it's only with this mod enabled. I do like the idea behind this mod so is there any way to fix this?

The mod needs updated. Lords' armies experience seems to work. Settlement garrisons' armies experience does not work. It also doesn't seem to effect upkeep cost from what I could tell; I could be wrong.

is it possible to make the settlements reinforce/engagement range, or zoc, expand with higher levels too
so a higher level defence structure makes it harder for enemies to walk around the city too. not a huge increase, but maybe 50% more at max level for cities and 30% for settlements.
since the main reason i "spam" defence buildings is that the ai just walk around the fortified cities and attack the undefended ones otherwise...
especially some of the dwarf holds sealing a pass from hostiles not using the underways. but there are others built by a river crossing, or a beach, that doesn't quite cover i currently. and Lothern garrison defending the little island, so the intervention armies can't spawn-wipe it, etc.

no idea if this is possible, or something others want too, but i would personally like it:D

@Wild: I found something a little odd, but when playing as norsca, when you upgrade your major garrison from tier 2 to 3 - the norscans lose the Ice Trolls they aquired at stage 2 when you upgrade.

Seems like it's a little backwards, and the Ice Trolls should come with the upgrade to tier 3, not 2.

Will update soon. I havent been playing the game, and reupdating a mod just so CA can break it again in a few months with patches and more DLC is just frustrating, it totally kills the desire to do it. It should be quite for Warhammer for a bit while CA focuses on 3 Kingdoms so it should be safe to roll out a update that will be ok for a decent period of time.

I dont want to edit the garrison units because that would make it conflict with other mods. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1280638626&searchtext=tier4 this mod here will add walls to you minor settlements. And there are a thousand garrison mods, because of they way I made this mod you should be able to use w/e you want.

It's good to see this mod up and runing again but really need either increase the amount of Garrison units or quaitly of Garrison units, also where are the walls? to keep out invaders?
