@heathtech are you willing to share the source files? :)

Oh and also mushrooms, from aberration!!
Gallonidas 30 Jun, 2021 @ 6:47pm
Loving the Mod!! I just wish that, like berries, all kinds of meat had reduced weight too... like regular raw meat, fish and their primes...
Gorloxx 23 May, 2021 @ 12:12pm
This good mod. yes
Aursan 26 Apr, 2020 @ 12:21pm
Here is the summon command for the top tier universal bag. It took me a minute to dig up!

cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/OffhandBags/Items/PrimalItem_GiantSack_All_OBMod.PrimalItem_GiantSack_All_OBMod'" 1 0 false

Where do I craft these? / how to get
Kurutta Rōjin 18 Dec, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Nice mod, adds something missing in from the game. I do wish there was a "Ammo Belt" for reducing weight of the ammo for guns.
Harshmellow 17 Nov, 2019 @ 11:46am
I really like the idea of this mod. It does feel like it fits in well like a native part of the game. I do feel like there are a few too many engrams. Perhaps all the bags in each tier can be unlocked together?

Looking forward to trying this out - will update my comments after trying it out - tks

Nice mod dude thank u :) !!

@heathtech Any chance this could be made to affect eggs? Adding eggs to the fiber bags would be best, but currently even the universal bags don't reduce egg weight. Thanks in advance.
I Wear My Ukelele At Night 10 Jul, 2018 @ 3:06pm
Hello, is there anyway to disable the shield animation when using an offhand bag? just looks weird randomly holding arm out. Thank you ^^
CoyodiSoul 9 Apr, 2018 @ 11:06am
Reiterating Miphnificent!'s request so that we can override the engram entry for the level 110 Universal Bag.
Sirus 2 Apr, 2018 @ 8:12am
Also apparently one of the bags is locked behind level 110? Even though the default cap is lvl 100.
Frankmir Caemorin 6 Mar, 2018 @ 6:17am
@Sirus.exe ... you need to unlock the Backpacks too
Sirus 28 Feb, 2018 @ 7:58am
So I just unlocked the bag making bench. I dunno how to craft any of the bags, though. Do the recipes for the bags unlock seperately? Or am I missing something?
Frankmir Caemorin 28 Feb, 2018 @ 5:34am
Would be nice is you could see the "Backpacks" on the Back^^
Anguish 26 Jan, 2018 @ 10:01pm
hey man i cant find the work bench in my engrams whats it called?
Arlyana 9 Jan, 2018 @ 5:27am
What are the spawn codes please and thank you.
The Man, the Miph, the Legend 2 Jan, 2018 @ 6:45pm
It's no problem at all @Heathtech. I'd not expect anyone to be around for the holidays. Hope you had a good one as well. :)
heathtech  [author] 2 Jan, 2018 @ 3:02pm
@Miphnificent! Sorry for the delay - holidays kept me from doing any work on this mod, but I'll be able to resume this week. I'll see what I can do about the IDs.
heathtech  [author] 2 Jan, 2018 @ 2:59pm
@Renesh I agree that it is annoying. Overriding the default wheel commands is tricky since you have to reassign the IDs they are ordered by - I'll see if I can figure it out.
The Man, the Miph, the Legend 18 Dec, 2017 @ 5:35pm
Hey again, @Heathtech.

Curious if you'd be willing to provide me with some item ID's for spawning/overriding the levels/crafting requirements and so on?

Also, wanted to ask if we may be getting .ini settings for these at some point? I apologize for all of my questions I've repeatedly had pertaining to this.
Renshae 18 Dec, 2017 @ 5:13pm
Any chance we could get the bench tweaked so that the default "use" function is opening the inventory instead of sitting down? I always forget and have to stand back up, turn around and go through the menu. It can get kinda annoying when i'm in a hurry, lol
heathtech  [author] 13 Dec, 2017 @ 8:00pm
@Miphnificent! Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were suggesting that because this mod shares the offhand slot with a similar, desirable mod, that it needed to be reworked so that the benefits could be simultaneously shared. As far as the "universal" bags, they only affect resources (specifically any item that programmatically inherits the base resource class.) As such, @zwrm1's observation would be the appropriate scenario by which you have both mods, but would have to choose the option that gives the best benefit at a given moment.
zwrm1 13 Dec, 2017 @ 7:49pm
actually if ini settings were added i can see using this and backpack at the same time. the backpack could be a general weight solution up to 50%, and these specialized bags could be configured to go higher than 50% but at the cost of choosing a specific set of resources.

The Man, the Miph, the Legend 12 Dec, 2017 @ 5:24pm
@Heathtech.

What? I never said I want you to integrate it with both. I was merely stating that .ini settings for the bags would be wonderful. Since the backpack mod gives +100% carry capacity it could be seen as if it was weight reducing by 50% (if you look at it that way). Having .ini settings to set the bags past that by small increments past 50% would be quite lovely.

One thing I would actually like to know is if the Universal ones work with absolutely everything? Or just every resource type? :)

I do apologize for not being more clear regarding what I was saying.
heathtech  [author] 12 Dec, 2017 @ 5:11pm
@Vas If it ever becomes an issue, I should be able to replace the assets with my own (which may happen over time anyway) or give the apprioriate royalties without having to take down the mod. I haven't used Antinode, but I can take a look.
heathtech  [author] 12 Dec, 2017 @ 5:02pm
@Miphnificent! I'm not really sure what you want me to do about multiple mods that use the offhand slot. I plan on adding a model to represent that the player is holding a bag, so I'd like to keep it equippable.
Vas 11 Dec, 2017 @ 2:47am
I would like to use this mod, but not if its suddenly going to disappear one day because of permission issues, so please elaborate as to that last bit.

As for INI edits, I think that would be good, ever seen Antinode's configs?
The Man, the Miph, the Legend 10 Dec, 2017 @ 9:33pm
@Heathtech

Thank you very much for your explanation pertaining to this. Adjustable .ini settings would be wonderful, as the Backpack mod and this are both extremely useful, but having one or the other to a certain extent nullifies the others usefulness.
heathtech  [author] 10 Dec, 2017 @ 9:32pm
@Miphnificent! Items crafted in this mod are carried in the shield slot, meaning that it won't stack with other mods that use the same slot. Rather than manipulate the player's capacity like the previously linked mod apparently does, this mod offers to the player the same type of weight reductions for specific items that some dinos give as long as the appropriate bag is in the offhand slot. Weight reductions cap at 75% for specific resource pairs and 66% for general resources with the high level engrams, though I suppose I should make these percentages adjustable in the .ini file as some people probably want more bang for their engram buck.
Vas 10 Dec, 2017 @ 6:15am
What do you mean images used without permission?
The Man, the Miph, the Legend 8 Dec, 2017 @ 7:36pm
@Heathtech. The one Temil posted doesn't reduce weight of all items, but instead can up to double the amount weight a player can carry. I am quite curious if this does anything similar such as potentially increase weight capacity by around 25% or something of the sort? I've been considering adding this along with the other Backpack mod to use for resource harvesting specifically, but I'm curious if there's a limit to the weight reductions offered per item.

Does the weight reduction max at 50% per resource type? Can this be used in conjunction with the other Backpack, or does it equip in the Shield slot as well?

Appreciate any information provided. \o/

@heathtech : ah, gotcha. thanks for the added explination. going to give yours a try, now that i know what to look forward to ;) thx.
heathtech  [author] 17 Nov, 2017 @ 8:07pm
The one you linked appears to reduce weights of everything while the item is equipped. This mod breaks up the items that qualify for weight reduction (specifically resources and arrows) into pairs like "Thatch & Wood", "Flint & Stone", "Metal Ore & Metal Ingots", etc. with opportunities obtain engrams that have increasing reductions in weight (10%, 25%, 40%, etc.) It focuses on strategic inventory management and engram selection, which may be unappealing to certain players (in which case the mod you linked would probably be the better fit.)
Temil2006 17 Nov, 2017 @ 11:01am
can you please provide a little more info on this mod? I host a server and currently use the backpack mod (link below). Just curious how this mod differs or is it the same thing?

you can remove this link as it points to another mod, I just wanted to provide it as reference as it's based around my question above.
