My two ideas on what to do with fragments:
Craft it with cut stone to make a sharpening tool that can be used to repair a tool. It can be used on one tool up to five times, and then not work on it anymore. 20 uses in total.
Or turn fragments into plain rocks.
1. Razor recipe is now available
@Sirus.exe, thanx for report about razor.
Default balance is now called "Normal" (it is absolutely same as before updates). There are plans to make fragments more usefull. At last they can be thowable or maybe I will make recipe for ash from them. Not sure yet.
1. Pitchfork is now available to craft
2. Added two difficulty levels: "Easy" (also know as "I am noob and proud of it"), and "Normal" (also know as "Super mega rockhard"). Default is "Normal".
3. Changed colors a bit to make tools look less like tinfoil.
Thanks everybody for reports!
Additionally, there doesn't seem to be a recipe for the pitchfork.
The concept is decent, customized tool/weapon crafting can be very fun, but the execution is not the greatest, from what I'm reading there's no knowledge and/or skill involved in the making of the tools.
Another thing are the failed craft results, and unless I didn't read the OP well, it's just inventory bloat, aka extra punishment. You could turn those into a I guess consolation prize by making them not be static items and allowing them to be recrafted into one of the blanks for example.
Fixed bug that caused crashes after Forge Update.
