Is an update needed? the game hasn't been updated in years, it was feature complete when WH3 came out.

from what i can tell (and my knwoledge is limited) most of the trade mods for WH3 don't really give any context with trading; meaning they just let evryone trade with everyone. Yours is a little more "lore-friendly" from what I can tell. there maybe other lore-friendly trade mod, options, but I think they are broken? hard to tell. if you spot a good one, let us know

@MagnusEffect Yeah I can take a look, I didn't know if it was still needed due to the amount of mods that allow everyone to trade.

Yes it still works! Its divested from the old .lua. I'll reload on occasion and change the text so it looks newer but this should be all that is needed unless Orc, Norsca or Chaos DLCs are dropped.

It should already work for Chaos. I have mods that add in Chaos fortresses and Im able to trade with them.

Updated mod for latest version and now have listeners so it should be much more compatible.

Currently playing as Rakarth, and it causes the whole beast pool to not trigger after battles,

@ PenetRATion long story short, its a giant B to get only the function apply_defaultdiplomacy in wh_start.lua to fire. In the past Scripting Framework had a function call at the end of the .lua that called it and I could get away with never updating it. 99% if its a conflict not from an update, its because someone else's mod is stuck at the same problem I'm at.

Dear modder! I would like to use your mod, but it confuses me that it includes the whole original script file. As it was written below about Drycha, there can really be problems with it if this file no longer corresponds to the full-fledged one in the game. But how about taking just the part of script that you change and making a new file with a different name? Then, when using the mod, only this moment will be rewritten, and everything else will remain intact, which also means that you will no longer need to update your mod with each DLC

This mod messes up Drycha's starting position. Her starting wars with Ostermark and the Skaven are gone and she is missing her starting Amber resource.

This mod also is causing issues with the wood elf deeproots ui and mechanic and the sisters of twilight forge of daith, along with the other effects described below. Hoping for an update eventually as this mod goes a long way to making multiplayer co-op more entertaining when rolling as either faction :)

warning: This mod breaks the Call to Waaagh mechanic for greenskins and once it's broken, cannot be brought back unless you have a save before the mod was loaded. It also seems to have effected the quests...though I didn't bother to troubleshoot that as the mod hasn't been updated in a long time anyway.

This mod removes the ability to gain blood kisses for the Vampire Counts. You don't get them at the start with Vlad or Isabella, assassinations or killing leaders.

@commodus its seems working just fine with SFO...but sometimes they trade with high elves or other races that they usually fighting..but not the dwarfs lol...i think they still hate each other even with this mod :{

mr sir, since this mod is a script, would it be read first if placed first in the order thereby overriding any conflicting mod? i have some diplomacy mod and i cant trade as green skins

@Edin, Woodelves can already trade ingame. Argwylon simply needs to elect a minister to the trade position and the trade building will unlock. Argwylon usually does not win the power struggle in Athel Loren however and Orion does not give two shits about trading.

Meuhoua it is not true orcs in all games can trade, orcs is not that dumb like in this game Total Warhammer 1 and 2 and this is the only game i have seen that orcs can not trade! this thing i hate most of this game and waagh!

Eh. Orcs did trade though and valued certain things quite a lot. So they did understand the concept of trade and got something out of it.

A suggestion : as Orcs do not value trade and as the vanilla balance of the faction is not base on it, to not give them a too big advantage if you aim to trade, you could reduce trade income for them (by 1/3 to 1/2), cause as dumbs, orcs do not evaluate the real value of merch.

Makes sense as Orcs and Norsca do Trade in the Lore and even offered themselves as mercenaries at times.

Actually I just checked, you have to conquer Quenelles to get out of Massif Orcal, there arent any other roads connecting it to the other provinces. I am trading fine with Parravon though.

@Lucky13 If the GS are trading in your game, its working because the change is faction wide. Its entirely possible you are totally landlocked in your game as trade originates from your capital and radiates outward via roads. I can't recall if Grom actually has roads coming from Massif Orcal...

Im playing as Grom and cant seem to get any trade going. i do see the AI greenskins trade does it need the resources one aswell to work as a player?

@TdizzleGod Sorta, depends if another mod is using the wh_start.lua. If you aren't then it is hella compatible. Obviously CMF is ideal in that situation and once its updated Ill released another version for it.
