@vegabond This is the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection of Earth from the n.pole. The same map on the UN flag. TBH b'cos I developed this before World Builder was released and b'cos it's a map script, it's pretty difficult to do what you ask. Soz.

you should really edit this map a bit to make it more balanced. You should make africa a few tiles smaller and make eurasia bigger. I know it's realistic, but there's no reason for africa to be so much larger than the rest of the world. And, that extra space should be allocated for japan and europe. Also, you could certainly fit in a faux new world.

@RonnyLaRock The main "big" map is only available on WorldBuilder since 2018(?). That too only the most powerful GPUs with 16GB could play it back then before updates that broke super sized maps.

Although this map is the exception (i.e. not a satellite image but a projection) it's the same in principle.

I still have the images in a folder somewhere (from 5+ yrs ago!).

@Ageweetoky The map is internally randomized. So just "restart" for a better start. But FYI Norway TSL is pretty awful even on the Earth map that ships with the game.

hi - this mod sounds great and I would love to try the full earth map, but im not able to get the game to start? I have a supercomputer with 11vram but the 'loading' screen comes up and never goes away. Im creating a new game, choosing the AEP earth map - only using 8 AI opponents, and checking the TSL box. Is there something I am not doing that needs to be done to get this map to open?

@kevblackwel I usually play on huge. My machine can't handle any more than that...but if you have a powerful computer you could also try it with the larger map sizes mods.

@RenegadeMaster It#s number of AI opponents that really slows turn time down late game. Huge is the largest my machine can handle on these maps.

FYI mods for larger map sizes are compatible, so hardware permitting you can actually have more than the number of AI on a huge map.

@RenegadeMaster It's not really "northern" hemisphere. That's why I call it "Top". (It's not quite the eastern hemisphere either).

The "regular" or whole map may not be playable apart from the very fastest machines/super computers until Firaxis optimize or speed up their logic for analysing chokepoints.

Again I'm playing the "Bottom" map RN as Tamar.

Yes, you can choose a map size. I recommend the largest map size for all of them: Huge.
