Makes the game so much more fun, but mod configuration time becomes extremely long sadly, gotta deal with it.

How would you go about keeping a unit's default look while using this mod? For instance, if I wanted the German Panzer unit to use the game's default Tiger I model instead of this mod's King Tiger model how would I do that?

I like how the English Ironclad is the same ship class that depicted the Thunderchild in the War of the Worlds.

I've been trying to fix the CTDs that Dolen2's pack consistently causes. Do you have any advice on how you made your crash fix patch?

@Leon : Yes, you can either edit the .sql file, or if you have Excel you can edit the newunits.xlsx file and use the button to generate new .sql files. Some of the pitfalls are discussed in the "Using Ethnic Diversity with modded civilizations" pinned discussion above.

Beware this mod conflicts with most other Unit-based mods. 10/10 playthroughs of this mod i've had with a couple other unit mods always results in graphical bugs.

Looks like @Nutzzz no longer updates the entirely of this mod.

It seems Dolen2 has decided to continue what Nutzzz and Gedemon have left off as of last 2020. Unfortunately, the updated version is too large to be uploaded to the workshop. So thus, there's nothing left of a choice but to rely on CivFanatics until otherwise...

...Unfortunately, it seems Bakuel, snafusmith and other unit model makers are all no longer active in CivFanatics. Not only that, DPurdy is no longer in Civ5 since he is in Civ VI. I'm unsure if there might be more unit models from Simetri OneNine...

At that rate, I'm afraid this mod is no longer active as I speak since there has been short in supply of unit models that are yet to be converted from Civ IV.

Well, I'm afraid the mod author is no longer active in this mod any longer. Not only that, there are still a number of civs that have yet to have unit models converted from Civ IV (Siam, Indonesia, Byzantium, Poland (Poland has no Medieval and Renaissance era units yet), Portugal, Rome (it needs Italian medieval and renaissance units), Brazil, Egypt (it needs the Ayyubids Middle Age unit pack and Mamluk Renaissance unit pack), others.... Hello, when we have update for this amazing mod? When i try it first time, and now i can't play without this mod. I try Dolen's version, but everytime i have crashes when i reach new era with gunpower, and can't continue my game

Great mod, still works fine whereas the recommended Dolan2's doesn't seem to. Have made a few minor adjustments to get it working with Vox Populi, can upload those changes somewhere if there's any call for it. Recently have gotten to building some Ironclads as Portugal, which appears to be using the Mediterranean unit group, specifically using the Pelayo_BB model linked with what appears to be the generic built-in Battleship animations. Except none of my Ironclads are animating, and I can't figure out why. Any suggestions?

I've tried Dolen2's Ethnic Diversity and for some reason the mod doesn't work! As in, the units don't actually change appearance at all and nothing happens. The same applies to your own version of Ethnic Diversity. This is so weird to me because the mod worked fine before, yet neither work now even if it's the only thing in the load order.

Using Your mod the game crushed at a message from civstate Samarkand. Could You check Your mod? In Samarkand there was a chivalry untit with special skin.

Without using Your mod the same game continued.

Is this mod compatible with the Renaissance Era Revised mod? I was hoping to spice up my later game with RER and the Enlightenment Era mod but I couldn't help but notice that this mod and RER change the model for the musket-man. This mod makes the early game that much more special with all it's unit models, but I'd also like to have a better renaissance era experience if possible.

@Nutzzz yes I thought so.. but dont get me wrong I love this mod, thank you so much. Im playing the Realism Invictus Mod for Civ4 now and its amazing, down to the last worker and scout they all got unique cultural and even nationspecific skins, so im a bit spoiled lol.

@DannyComanche Yeah, I agree that the ones that haven't been replaced sometimes seem a bit jarring. But I can only use the units that were made by the community. I've done a few reskins, but doing the modelling is quite painful.

@bigbrother1984 : This is another hardware dependent issue. Your video card doesn't like those units. You could try updating your video drivers, but the only solution is to edit JEDUnitGraphicConfig.sql and change to a different unit by editing the fxsxml column. Maybe AfrWarrior for Ethiopia, maybe AustriaWarrior(2) [this assumes that the latter doesn't cause a crash; I've had a report that it did for at least one user].

Sorry for the delay. OK, let's eliminate variables. Are you using the same individual civilization(s) consistently? Can you start with a duel map (1 vs. 1) using random civs?

Tried updating my driver and using other versions. Now all three versions have the same, yet sad result of crashing during the dawn of man screen. I'd appreciate any help and advice, thank you

I only use one mod, yes, and the crash always happens whener the game tries to extract the mod files. I'll try the civfanatics version and come back to you later. Thanks.

@RMD Angel : Big mods used to sometimes crash when extracting, though I thought that was fixed some time ago, but to rule that out I'd suggest you unsubscribe here and use the version from CivFanatics.

Is the crash consistent on every start? This doesn't tend to conflict with other mods, but have you tried with just this mod active? If it's not consistent, I'd grab the file linked in the description above under "EXPERIENCING A CRASH?"

I have different problems with different ways of installing the mod. If I install it directly, my game doesn't load and instead gets stuck in the dawn of man screen, with sounds as if the game is running. If I install it from Steam, it either doesn't show up or crashes the game while it fails to extract.

Is it possible to change a unit within the mod? I want to make Brazil use the Rafale instead of the F-16 (Generic) as its Jet Fighter

Hello,there might be a problem.When I use this mod with some other mod that use the civilization id ,there always be a runtime error in log.I go to modiki and add 'ID' before 'Type' while sql changes the CIVILIZAYIONS and monorcivilizations TABLE.Every thing is ok now.

no crashes, but alot of logos for civs, and just general images used throughout the game are gone, like the arrows in the influence by player screen and stuff like that
