Try for the all the secrets too, especially getting the spinning gold object about the vortex emitter (and don't you dare cheat; it'll take the fun out of it).

After you killed the turrets, you should have explored the area on the ground under them for a object (1st secret). Thanks for playing once again; and for the video.

Yes, the jumping out the orange vortex is tricky, that is why it is "bonus" and has a cool song. I ussually get it in 4 to 10 attempts. You can jump into it near the brick wall. Tricky using the laser cubes, lol. Well done!

Many, many tries without success to jump out of the funnel. In the end, I brought the laser cubes to the wall, and stacked them atop the wall to jump onto the incline. Took me more time to do the bonus items than to actually solve the map including the regular secrets.

Awesome Expat! If I had more space in the game file, I would have made some to the delivery tubes and other stuff fall apart, lol, as 1812 song played. How many attempts jumping out of the vortex did you do before finally getting onto the incline ramp up to the spinning goal?

Expat, at the start, go over to a hill area by the large Aperture sign without crossing the laser barrier; scan with your eyes the ground area for an object. It is supposed to be animate with electric arcs, but it got turned-off (I can't fix the animation without doing an update, but P2_publisher is broke, so I can't do updates currently). Howerver, it still works if you pick it up (once safe to enter the area by the Aperture sign). From there you probably can figure it out. If you do, you'll understand why I call this level the grand finale. ;-)

Great fun. Having played all four back-to-back gave me a real leg up on this one although the final laser confounded me for a while. Found the "regular" secrets, didn't find the bonus secrets. Don't suppose you'd care to offer any hints? Thanks for creating, have subbed the rest of your posted maps.

Ah, the secrets (rooms) are from my other Portal levels; just spruced-up a little bit to enjoy; just as a reward and so a person can say, "I found a cool secret" - nothing more really. The spiritual room is indeed accessable (for those interested in that sort of thing). I sometimes include such things for stimulation and reflective musing; especially for certain of my friends (there are cautions signs for how to avoid entering for those people not interested, but they will get credit for finding a "Secret"). It takes some close observation of operable details to find the access to it. ;-)

this puzzle collection series was a joy to play. though i do have a couple questions, some of which might not be answered. what does the end-of-the-level secret room mean? is it some turret factory? what purpose do the secret rooms serve anyway? while i was noclipping through the map to find anything, there was a room filled with religious things. it was not accessible. can you explain what this is and why it is not accessible? thank you. please make more puzzles.

Sma_Omega. First, thanks for playing! I truly hope you had some fun. I feel I need to point this out for all: it isn't so much about turning on the fan or weather effects (they are just a fun distraction), but about sending the ball up the weather tower shaft to its socket. The only way to do that is with BOUNCE GEL (the weather tower or fan need NOT be turned-on to do this). Bounce painted items will always bounce UPWARD in shafts (a Portal engine design physics aspect). It is intuitive when we know about this aspect of Portal game play.

Had some difficulty with an unintuitive part of the map where an action causes a seemingly unrelated event (I assume it's through some kind of scripted event). Had to turn hints on to find the answer.
Painting the ball to switch the tower fan on wasn't an intuitive leap for me.

Finished - well done. I like this strategy better than earlier ones where I was constantly lost. This proceeded in a logical fashion. Thanks for creating - enjoyed it.

For the weeds flashing, I have the same problem with some water, I'm afraid it can't be fixed even with fewer.

JP, I'm not sure what you mean about cleaning the cube? A cube or ball can be cleaned ONLY after the weather tower becomes ACTIVE.

Yes, the weeds and flower sometime "flash." The is a problem connected to the Portal Engine or graphic card limits. No sure which. It my knowledge, it can't be avoided. Maybe having fewer of them will limit the problem (I haven't tried that).

The waterfall sink or pit? Ah, nope, I did not put any secrets there. It will just respawn you back at the map start position (becuase you drown). I thought about creating a way for swimming into secret test chamber from the waterfall pit, but decided not to do it (too predictable). Perhaps I should?

JP, the rotating trinket is a secret goal to gain; simply figure out how to go near it at the proper time (you will know when it is time, trust me).

JP, I apparently had "break on pressure" turned-on with the radio. I turned it OFF. It seems fixed now. Thanks for telling about it. I apologize that I didn't get this fixed earlier. I'll upload an update after I look at the other things you mentioned.

JP, ya, was was thinking about letting the button turn off the HINTS for when the play changes their mind (after being scolded by GlaDos). I'll look into it.

Hmm. So you found a different way to cook the turrets. It might be okay the way you did it. I'll check it out. Thanks for telling me! I didn't realize the two spots were at the same elevations.

Some minor things:
- Cleaning the cube was not working before cleaning the ball?
- Some grass (flowers) dissappear when moving (could be my graphic proc.)
- When jumping on the radio, it disappeared, giving no secret; but next time you enter the cabin, radio music is playing again and the radio is no more visible.
- Entering the water sink (or pit) gives nothing? I did but I was just dead lol.


I'll come back to it for secrets and bonus; I haven't really been looking for, mainly because of the timer at the end. I also did not understand the meaning of the rotating sign.

So thanks for this impressive Hammer work, it was fun to play, and lots of good ideas...

Excellent and beautifull map.

I guess it could take far more than 1 hour if one didn't play the previous parts before; so sequencing was a good idea.
Adding some more Logic Save would be usefull as well.
You could also consider adding a Logic Branch on the button when you choose to have help or not: in case the player change his mind.

I have been burning the turrets directly from the "radio platform" through the trees, and I realized afterwards there was an elevator meant for it.. lol
