Thank you for this mod! :)

You may wish to add the "Animals"-thingCategory to "AnimalThingBaseGalaxy".
(I noticed this, because your animals don't show up for my Customize Animals mod.)
:)

Just noticed that the description of Hyperweaver eggs mention Tukiri

Haha, no worries, I just saw your last / condensed comment. I usually just make these patches for myself, so I don't bother uploading them as separate mods, but I like to post them in the mod's comments, in case the author would be interested in them. Plus, I always thought it was annoying to have patches as separate mods, especially when they don't change anything about the mod itself (just how they interact with other mods).

As for simplicity, the code in the patch is based off of the code VE animals uses for its patches, so it be easy to adjust. Anyway, thank you for the quick response, and I hope the patch helps.
witchyspoon  [author] 26 Jul, 2021 @ 4:04am
okay so i just deleted my other comments as they were all over the place.
1. thank you
2. do you not want to upload this yourself as a ws item? (loaded in mod order after Galaxy L)
3. yes i can add it as the xml patchoperation is a simple one and only is active when the other mod is too (the xml simplicity is important for me for minimal maintenance that I can do myself)
4. thank you again.

Thank you for updating Galaxy Life to 1.3 so quickly, having a bit of extra variety in the wildlife is really nice. However, I noticed that this mod doesn't have an Alpha Biomes patch yet, and that these animals can only spawn in vanilla biomes. So I made an Alpha Biomes patch for my personal version and was wondering if you would be interested in adding it in. The spawn rates are based on their vanilla biome equivalants (Tar pits -> Arid Shrubland, Propane Lakes -> Ice Sheet, etc.), although I increased the spawn rate for Nightslakers in the Forsaken Crags biome (since it favors nocturnal animals).

If you'd like the patch, I uploaded it to Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lynebtjlyptu8ba/AlphaBiomesPatch.xml?dl=0
witchyspoon  [author] 22 Jun, 2020 @ 8:59am
i have added the patch inside the mod but this was a bit ago so im not sure it still works as intended ill check later when i have time
witchyspoon  [author] 21 Jun, 2020 @ 12:46pm
oh! the fluffins cannot have high tech bionic limbs only simple prosthetics and organs (eyes ears etc) as far as I remember. They would be way too powerful otherwise. (they are cheap and useful and would be cheap killing machines otherwise) If you look into A Dog Said (my animal prosthetics mod) I categorized the animals in there and Fluffins are Cat2
pgames-food 28 Apr, 2020 @ 6:57pm
thanks for 1.1 :)
(am going through my 500+ mod, v1.0 save trying to upgrade into 1.1)
witchyspoon  [author] 1 Mar, 2020 @ 5:08pm
I played with very little mods apart from my own, just extended storage, camera+, run and gun, allow tool, quality builder..sometimes edb prepare carefully. no fancy mod collections, sorry
Ryse 1 Mar, 2020 @ 12:29pm
@Spoonshortage Do you have a collection of mods you usually play with/recommend to use together?
Reporter 24876 25 Feb, 2020 @ 1:40pm

witchyspoon  [author] 25 Feb, 2020 @ 3:44am

Cosmosyn 16 Jul, 2019 @ 11:05pm
I like the idea, personally not using it in my runs due to art style not being somewhat vanilla
pgames-food 21 May, 2019 @ 4:12pm
yeah fluffins are really cool :) (ive only found the 2 on the left so far)
CaptainSnafu 21 May, 2019 @ 1:51am

witchyspoon  [author] 6 Mar, 2019 @ 5:31am
oops ill change it when i have the time
Ronkhar 6 Mar, 2019 @ 4:36am
Hello.
Thanks a lot for your mod, I've been enjoying it for quite a while :)

I found a small error in the text for the fertilized hyperweaver egg: (\Defs\ThingDefs_Resources\Resources_defs.xml, line 194)
"If all goes well, it should hatch into a baby tukiri --> should be "hyperweaver" instead

Jarlent 29 Oct, 2018 @ 10:10pm
lmao it took me 15 minutes to figure out what mod was missing when I got the modlist mismatch

thanks for the integration i love making my list shorter :D
witchyspoon  [author] 29 Oct, 2018 @ 5:12am
Patch for ADS is now integrated, it will activate if it detects ADS present, otherwise not. I deleted ADS patch from WS it should still work without issue bc the patch is now inside the main mod
Youtep 19 Oct, 2018 @ 5:30am
yeah sorry... I try to find the mod...
witchyspoon  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 5:11am
this is not from my mod. i use nowhere temperate swamp or cold bog as wild biomes in my mod. but it is in the error context. so this is from another mpd that either adds animals or races, please check.
Youtep 19 Oct, 2018 @ 4:08am
Hello,
Impossible to fix this : https://image.ibb.co/bw4cgL/2018-10-19-130550.jpg (loaded in first after cores, and in last, same result)

jpinard 16 Oct, 2018 @ 8:02am
cool thanks! I'll play with them to see what does what.
witchyspoon  [author] 16 Oct, 2018 @ 4:03am
i think its either <ecosystemweight> or <wildbiomes> the different biome bumbers (how many of those appear there)
jpinard 15 Oct, 2018 @ 7:38pm
Which xml entry affects the rarity of them showing up? Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions :)
witchyspoon  [author] 17 Aug, 2018 @ 6:45pm
nope.
CreasedTails[FotR] 17 Aug, 2018 @ 2:29pm

BlueTressym 12 Feb, 2018 @ 6:34am
True, but then they eat more.
witchyspoon  [author] 12 Feb, 2018 @ 6:23am
idk maybe balance reasons. bc they lay more usually and they have more nutrition/value tahn chickeneggs?
BlueTressym 12 Feb, 2018 @ 6:18am
True, although I've never understood why it is that the game has most birds only laying eggs if fertilized when that's not the case RL.
witchyspoon  [author] 12 Feb, 2018 @ 6:11am
I had a look at the stats again. so the Tukiri lays eggs a min of 5 days apart. and then they wont even lay eggs if they are not fertilized. also they will lay 1-3 eggs. so if it feels like chickens are breeding less...thats bc chickens also lay unfertilized eggs that get eaten. but every tukiri egg will be fertilized like the other vanilla big birds so it may appear they that breed more, when they really dont.
witchyspoon  [author] 12 Feb, 2018 @ 6:03am
oh tukiri need a male to lay eggs. they wont lay unfertilized eggs like the chicken (vanilla is only chicken too) they are like other big birds in the game like turkey and cassowary and such. they dont lay eggs unless they are fertilized
BlueTressym 12 Feb, 2018 @ 5:06am
I'm having almost the opposite problem to bearhiderug in respect of tukiri; mine won't produce eggs at all. :O
unsubstantiation 22 Dec, 2017 @ 1:22am
Sorry for the slow reply. maybe it was a mod? it was hyperweave wool instead of hyperweave. but now they're not doing it.
witchyspoon  [author] 19 Dec, 2017 @ 7:30pm
thanks for the feedback!
tukiri: i dont think i changed much from the turkey but ill look into it.
hyperweave is just the normal vanilla hyperweave (same stats and everything) only white.
devilstalkers are rather like a vanilla cougar. nightstalkers should be able to down a thrumbo if they are 3 or 4 but rather difficult to tame.
Sergeant Skyhigh 10 Dec, 2017 @ 5:05am
I'm playing this with dinosauria and It's so cool :)
witchyspoon  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 11:19am
then idk...it works for me no problem
witchyspoon  [author] 5 Dec, 2017 @ 1:50am
hmm thats strange...i just tested it myself (had to watch the wool grow lol) and after shearing (both male and female) it produced white color fabric that was hyperweave. did you just maybe overlook it bc it had a white color? or maybe used an animal handler with very low skill which can make him fail on shearing and produce nothing? or it may be a modconflict with a mod that changes hyperweave?
unsubstantiation 4 Dec, 2017 @ 10:45pm
bug: after taming the hyperweavers they would no longer produce hyperweaver wool. They had the gauge, but after shearing, nothing would be produced.
