I cant get the Dragon Bone Longbow for some reason. ID just doesn't work. Is there a (working) ID for the Ancient Dragon Bones so I can craft it myself?

I wonder if you have actually shot a true "longbow"? A true longbow is usually made from Yew wood and there isn't any recurve on the tip ends. They were thick, heavy, their length was out to 90 inches which made them almost impossible to hunt with, and when drawn back the string was actually drawn past the ear so quite often the shooter had string burn not only on their upper arm but also on their cheek. They took a very long time to master accuracy.

A hunting style recurve ranges between 56 inches and 70 inches maximum. They were light, fast, and could easily be shot from a knealing position. My home-made Bamboo backed Hickory reflex/deflex bow is only 60 inches and at 27 inch draw length, it is pulling 55 pounds draw weight. The arrows shot from this bow will completely pass through a deer beyong 40 yards.

However, you have great art work in your mod. The bows have a futuristic style that is quite amazing and beautiful in their own way.

I have the Solonor Bow but Im not getting the arrows

Could the problem be that i broke the bow before i completed the dagger-quest?

i equipped the bow and it broke. The quest for the dagger is completed. I have no idea whats wrong :(

@murazor - do you have the daedric longbow that is sold by randal?. if yes then equip and unequip the bow until it breaks. the mehrunes dagger quest must be completed to further the mehrunes longbow quest.

Hello. First of all, great work! I really love all your longbow-mods! However, I just startet the quest for the mehrunes dagon-bow and am having some difficulties. I recently completet the quest for mehrunes dagger but found no clue to my broken bow, so I returned to the merchant who seems to want me to bring him something. Because english is not my mothertong, I dont really get what he wants from me, can you explain it to me?

Well first off this mod to work requires my longbows mod. Second there isn't a difference this just allows you to add the longbows to the dawnguard expansion.

What is the difference between this and you original longbow mod?

The Lunar-Eclipse - I would sure hope so! Randal in morthal has a longbow to purchase. Equip the longbow and unequip it until it breaks then follow the quest line.

You'd think that with my asking about it I'd've gotten it by now, but I just recently (yesterday) did the Mehrunes' Longbow quest. Did you intend for the quest to fail upon killing the merchant when Dagon tells you to get his heart?

@Kaiyoto - do you have the original longbows mod? if it crashes after the logo you have a load order issue. A master file is loaded after the dependent. so it should be

I've been trying to get this mod to work on and off for days. It crashes the game right after the Bethesda logo every time. Load order matches what is listed in the description. I've tried the regular mod and the SkyRe version and neither works. I've run BOSS and it has been unenlightening. It doesn't give me any errors or indicate that anything is wrong with the mod.

what smithing perk does the mehrunes dagon longbow have for smithing i'm guessing ebony or daedric

First find randal in morthal buy a fake daedric longbow from randal then equip and unequip the bow until it breaks which will start the mission, next you have to be level 25 or higher and have finished mehrunes razor questline. once those are done return to randal and continue the quest. Randal follows business hours and you can't not buy from him until after 9, and an hour for lunch, basically he will be sitting in a chair when he is availible to buy from.

Yea. I looked at nexus and then went and talked to randel in morthal and a menu didnt come up

Friday the Thirteenth - no wouldnt touch the base bow it would be seperate. The longbow would be a corrupted failed clone of auriels bow.

@Grantiz OOOOOH....now THAT seems interesting. If it were me, I'd make it a separate longbow hidden in castle volkihar or retrievable from Harkon's corpse over corrupting the base bow, but that's just how I'd do it.

@Friday the Thirteenth - I actually wanted to make a corrupted auriels longbow which does more damage to the living and stregthens the dead.

@Grantiz I personally like that second option, honestly. I like the vanilla Auriel's Bow, but I pretty much stopped using it once I installed your perk mod, cuz I REALLY like playing a sneaky sniping asshole ;)

@Friday the Thirteenth - I was thinking about it, but I don't know how I would implement it or what ability it would have. Or just have it so you can exchange Auriels bow for auriels longbow and vise versa, but only allow you to have one or the other not both.
