And also: "come on, you were raised better than that!" ;)

As promised: intended solution ? Really good puzzle; definite thumbs up.

:) I've found "a [much] more elegant way" - I'll record and check.

Just read your reply to @macko68 (7 years ago!) so I'm pretty sure "the shot I made at 1:28" is unintended, so I will look for a more elegant way.

Good puzzle, but the shot I made at 1:28 in the following walkthrough I’m not sure about: intended solution ?

Haha, great to see people still playing my old maps. @lapicidas, your way is how I intended it, but @hub's way is cool too.

BTW, If I remember correctly I had an Easter egg in the original version where you could set fire to the dude in the observation room across from the exit with the laser. I can't even remember what I did in this version...

Nice easy map.

Clever little map, thumbs up!
I solved it a little differently than @hub: https://youtu.be/p1fBkPfun3s

LOL.
My first thought was "noob map, I can just portal bump" "owait" "ohh" "GENIOUS!!!!"
This map is exactly the difficulty I love. Perfect!

nice map, a bit of thinking to solve. :steamhappy:

That is an intricate little puzzle. Thanks for creating.

@Brits and macko68:
Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Yeah, that is unintended and I'm aware of it, but it's outside of the box enough for me to leave it in...Plus I already revised the map a ton thanks to sicklebrick at TWP repeatedly breaking it, and 'Id rather just leave it now so I can work on new stuff.

Well I did the same as Brits and was suprised that this version took me less then normal one (approx 10 min). Will be looking for other solution though

Forgot to mention, I love how the darker light and the music indicate that this test is harder than the non-challenge version.
Brits 1 Mar, 2013 @ 3:37pm
I guess this is unintended: While standing on the cube, you can shoot a portal in that room, and bring the cube in there. Then I was able to open the exit the same way I solved the non-challenge version.
elfarmerino  [author] 23 Jan, 2013 @ 1:15pm
Have updated the map now to remove that exploit. Cheers for the feedback! I've been playing through your list - some fantastic maps on there.
KennKong 21 Jan, 2013 @ 4:15pm
The problem with my exploit (if you can call it that) is that it bypasses the most fun part of the solution. I think you could prevent it by only putting portal surface in the corner next to the lift, and narrowing the opening on that side.
KennKong 21 Jan, 2013 @ 3:50pm
Well, I think I've got it now: Resolution (challenge version) . It's worthy of my collection of Favorite Puzzle Maps . Perhaps it belongs in my hardest maps collection, but I think I was just being dense.
elfarmerino  [author] 21 Jan, 2013 @ 3:14pm
Ah, I see what you're doing there... I'll see if I can do something about that, although I'm not sure I'll be able to, given the design of the puzzle in general.
KennKong 21 Jan, 2013 @ 2:16pm
Oops, those images are backwards.

Leave the orange portal by the exit, then balance cube on edge of blue:
Part 1
Go through blue, and fire orange through the grate:
Part 2
This drops the fizzler so you can shoot blue into the second room.

KennKong - I can safely say that your way is totally unintended, and I wasn't aware that it was possible (I'd like to see it, if you have a pic or demo or something). There is a perfectly clean way to pass the chamber.
KennKong 20 Jan, 2013 @ 10:43pm
My solution included balancing a cube on the very edge of a portal . If this was intended, I must say it took all the fun out of it. Fiddly-twiddly solutions are almost as annoying as pointy-shooty bits. I'm actually hoping there was another way, so that I can try again and find a satisfying solution.
