i think the adding dlc units is weird cuz u should have to buy dlc to get dlc units but its fine ig, but the new stuff is awesome better 💪🐀

This mod is so good for us who dont want to or cant afford hand out £80 for all the dlcs on wh2. Thank you, not everyone can afford all the extras for the game.

Hey bud, looks, like great stuff, I'd say it's appreciated if you keep the unique stuff available, just cut it out from the rest that CA got round to (Ratcopter, Rat Swarm, Verminlord are my picks) and keep them alive, they look great!

id say keep the still unique units that arnt in the base game, and get rid of the weapon teams and what not that are already in the game (or make them special recruitment type units.)

Instead of removing the mod entirely, why not just cut down the units that are in game and keep the ones that are not? Or at least keep the stormfiends since I think they'll be in great demand among skaven players. Can also make a mod for the new patch which adds only Stormfiends to the Moulder workshop or something. Your call ultimately.

Hey guys. I am thinking; I might remove this mod upon the next mod release.
Currently.. of the 11 units I added, at least 6 have already been or will be added.

And I will admit, the units outside of the Rattling Copter and the Warpstone Thrower aren't really there, quality-wise anyway.

What do you think? Should I just remove the mod?
Should I fix the mod and keep everything in? (Which honestly due to real life issues is something that will be fixed very inconsistently)
Should I delete this mod and make a separate one for just the copter and Warpstone thrower?

Are you actually enjoying the verminlord and the pusbag, or hell maybe even the rat swarm?

I'd love to hear multiple people's thoughts on this.

If people don't really reply to this however, I'll probably remove the mod or keep it in the store for other people to edit it.

The Warpstone thrower doesn't seem to be working quite right in my game: They only seem to fire a single projectile each for rather disappointing damage

@Hive Mind, Uhh I believe not. Some wanted me to keep units like rattling gunners in so people without the DLC could use them. Not just that, but they were also different enough from the official ones that they could stay.

@Nuro Oh right, I completely forgot to fix that. Yeah one of the TWWH2 patched changed something at some point. I'll look into it soon. I think.

I'm pretty sure the projectile shrapnel table or explosions table is missing something. Warpstone thrower is barely doing any damage.

This mod isn't for radious. Also the spells for the verminlord are very strong, thus I'd rather keep his health low. And no, not all units require new values.

values of health are low compared to vanilla and radious units. example a general has 4500 hp but a veminlord has only 3000. I would imagine a verminlord to have health above 10000. All units, if you are inclined, would necessitate new values.

In regards to animations, 3d models etc I am stuck to what CA gives me. Also there's an issue to where different models have different skeletons, thus meaning that I can only assign a select few amount of animations that are actually compatible with the model.

I do know some mods import custom 3d models etc, but I am personally not a 3d modeller, hence why I am stuck with what CA gives me. haha

The whole 3d model animation debacle is also why I limited the different varieties in regards to the stormfiend. The model variety I could use was basically non existent.


In regards to the rattling copter, it looks like a dwarven copter.. because that's what the ratling copter is officially based off of in the lore. And of course because I limited to the copter models. haha


I'll take a look at the ratling gun ammo, warpstone thrower and the verminlord when I am able to create some spare time. cheers.

Bear in mind I also mention for balance reasons, I want to use TT units and the variety that came with it in the game but I don't want be cheating lol

Rattling gunners ammunition runs out very quickly, I never played skaven on TT so I don't know if their current amount is "loreful"

I would also really like it if you added the other weapons available for Stormfiend like ratling cannon, grinderfists, warpfire projectors or windlaunchers

rattling copter texture is... well its a dwarf gbomber without a pilot and green colors, I don't use it because it looks so strange in a skaven army, cant really blame you for that though

Verminlord melee attack animations are really wonky, he hardly ever manages to get a hit off. If you can I would give him the same animations as Crypt Horrors, would work with his size and posture, his earthquake spell is also OP, I would widen the affected spell area and reduce its damage until it *doesnt fully anihilate any unit in its path

I'll do some testing them get back to you, the first one however is most certainly the warpstone thrower, it is useless at the moment due to the changes CA have done since you made the unit

Nope, it's not you. I just tested it myself.
CA made some changes to projectiles at some point, looks like that messed it up.
I'll fix it when I have some time available.

Not sure if anyone else has the problem, but when I tried to use them, the Warpstone Throwers only seemed to have one low damage projectile,. I used them a few months ago and they had that multi-shot, and I redownloaded the mod and turned off any others to make sure. Is this a problem for anyone else?

Just read about the new total war update too. I am very excited about the wood elves dlc, because much like beastmen I always felt like they simply missed a good varied roster.

Hey guys, I absolutely hate to ask, but I really want to make a beastmen and wood elves unit pack just like this.

However, I am mainly limited by both time and money.
Should I create a small donation link in order to allow me to work on the mods more easily or not?
I really don't want to create a patreon though, I don't want people to be stuck to a monthly subscription.

Ohh yeah. That reminds me I didn't update the description. I actually removed the poison wind mortars because the ones from the DLC were straight up better in every way. I just kept the jezzails and ratlings in because they provided something new/different.

Keep in mind though, the comments about the ammo earlier.. looks like that was true. I'll fix that in that next update. Pretty sure CA borked something a while ago with one of the updates. Although only the ratling gunners / skavencopters seem to be having that issue.

Actually I take it back, it looks like it still DOES work with the beta. My game apparently just doesn't look like it wants to start at all if I alt tab before the initial loading screen lol.

Reinstalled total war warhammer 2 today and got the beta opt in as well. Looks like it doesn't work in the beta version. Either way you boys can expect an update in a couple of days since I am planning on playing this game again :p

Yeah I haven't updated in a while chief.
Also, people asked me to keep them in for non-dlc owners + extra variety as they're not exactly the same as the OG units.

A friend of mine recently got TWWH2 though, so I might eventually get back into modding this when I actually play the game again.
