@Shudderfly It's still in the works, but life has gotten in the way. I'm a microbiologist & civil engineer by day, and impoverished rural communities rely on my team for clean drinking water. It's a rewarding but demanding job, though I hope to find a better work-life balance eventually. When I do, finishing the book is high on my list of unfinished projects, so thank you for the encouragement :reheart:

If this already has a spaceship in it, consider integrating the Save Our Ship Mod for extra lonely travels to a dead Dyson Sphere. Also, great work on the story! You should write more!

This is the weirdest and most interesting scenario I've seen, and you don't even need and mods. I'm going to be trying to use the new vanilla factions expanded: insects mod with this. Seems like a perfect fit.

Honestly, not a lot. 1.1 erased more options that it added. Minus the new animals and their meats & furs, changes to the scenario editor have been minimal. Might be more with the dlc, but I'm keeping these vanilla.

@Arty Because Steam has a character limit on descriptions. Plus, you'd be surprised how effective intrigue is as a marketing tool.

I combined this scenario with upgradeInsects, glowstick, and Jelly farm mods. I have no idea if there is a lore behind this scenario, but ya... it's been interesting playing this way. Never thought about using the create incident interval to do something like this.

I will Bet you used Green Carpet as a greenscreen and Made the Ship and boom use greenscreen software and you have a immobile ship since you havent colored the moving thrusters

As Elladel suggested, I'd really like to see that put into action. Having them live on the ship with teleporters getting their sustenance with a premade faction that has positive relations from the start being the suppliers.
They can have a workshop bit and be a mercantilist ship, and if they run out of fuel the power goes out, and the oxygen, the engines, meaning they have an alert where they have to refuel before they crash into planets below...
That's a bit complicated.

Cool concept, but there's no way to implement this in the base game. With little modding experience past visuals, I wouldn't know where to begin.

Do you know if it's possible to add in that spaceship in the images section (without the actual spaceship parts of course)? It would be cool if you could actually have the colonists start off with the ship they came to the rimworld with.
Presumably you could make a worldgen structure that has a 100% chance of appearing on the starting map, but how you could get the game to stop this on other maps (and other scenarios) is beyond me.
Anyway, this is just something i think would be an amazing addition to my favourite scenario! :D

Playing this on a frozen planet, where the megascarabs die because of the cold almost constantly... There's just no mercy for a little fledgling colony when you have five hives on the map :(

Enjoyed the attention to the setting. Presuming that "insect horror" refers to life on the hiveworlds, which they are trying to put behind them.
