Yes its safe to add or remove from existing saves.
Szarrukin 29 Aug, 2021 @ 8:50am
Can this be installed with existing save?

Better late than never, very much appreciated!

I've added a patch for Royalty Unstable Power Cells. If Royalty is active it will double their power output from 400W to 800W. Its slightly out of the original scope of the mod but I think its similar enough to count. If anyone has an issue with it being added let me know. Royalty is not required, the change was simple enough that I just did a simple patch to test if Royalty is in the mod list or not.

@DRT99
Sorry I didn't do this until now, I didn't realise it's been a month already.

@DRT99
It does not although I probably should add that.
DRT99 6 Oct, 2020 @ 11:22pm
does this also apply to the mechanoid unstable power generator?

400w in vanilla is pretty sad, especially for something so explodey
sinsforeal 24 Jul, 2020 @ 6:25am
Ah yes the vanometric power cell economy

Thanks for extending the mod to encompass the Vanilla Extended stuff.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 29 May, 2020 @ 3:53am
Small update hopefully this doesn't annoy people but I lowered the output slightly from 2500W to 2000W. If you don't like this change please follow the instructions in the description to change it to whatever you want.

The main reason for the update was I added support for Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power. All Vanometric cells provide double what they normally give. I included the Archotech Violence Generator since its listed in the same file and its kind of the same sort of item.

Thank U so much. Extremely useful little mod.
I've used Your code to tweak power to my liking.

Stay Safe!

I don't know about programming but mod menus shouldn't be too difficult. I don't think I'll do anything large scale I generally mod the stuff that annoys me and nobody has made a mod for yet. At any rate it won't happen anytime soon since its a very low priority. Right now I'm sleep deprived since I'm busy full time looking after two new husky puppies.

Ok, Good luck with learning programming, FSF. I'm definitely going to follow you, because if and when you can do that, you'll definitely make some great things! I'd give it a whirl myself if I weren't so damn busy with college. Hell, I barely have any time for video games as it is, I have to start an annotated bibliography later!

No worries it didn't come off that way to me. I understand its easier to change it in a menu in game then futz around with the files.
Spotter 2 Nov, 2018 @ 5:40pm
When modding this mod, make sure you open the file in a HTML format compatible editor. Just saying, you don't want to Save As Other Text by mistake.

That's cool, take your time! I didn't mean to sound needy if I came acros that way.

It was previously 500W so it was 5x as powerful as vanilla. I had considered upping it after the change but I left it for the time being. As for a mod menu it's something I need to look into some time it requires coding which I have no clue how to do.
LS-Swapped HMT Olympic 2 Nov, 2018 @ 3:57pm
Wouldn't its rarity make it fair to beef it up evem more? It was made by archotechs, after all. A mod menu of sort to change it to whatever our liking is would be nice, if it weren't too much to ask.

@Snakoron
Sorry but I really don't want to go adding old versions to the workshop especially for a beta version after the game has officially released. Having said that nothing was changed except the version number so the mod works perfectly fine with B19. It will warn that it's the wrong version but that can be safely ignored. There's also a manual download for the B19 version available in the attached mod collection.
Epogle 23 Oct, 2018 @ 4:30am
Hi ! Can you upload a B19 version on steam workshop ? For streamer's let's play and for facilitate its installation by the community.
Spotter 24 Sep, 2018 @ 7:49pm
Now taht makes sense. Thanks
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 24 Sep, 2018 @ 5:56pm
@Spotter
It's one of the special world quest rewards. So it's super rare unless you have a mod like RimQuest or change your scenario settings to get more quests.
Spotter 24 Sep, 2018 @ 5:55pm
Coolness. I haven't played the star-tech side in so long, I never seen the battery. 😱️🎖️️🏆️
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 24 Sep, 2018 @ 5:44pm
@Spotter
The only changes this mod makes are to Vanometric Power Cells an item in the vanilla game.
Spotter 24 Sep, 2018 @ 5:39pm
SnowFox, does this include the battery, or just make changes to another mod? 👍🏆️🥇️
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 22 Sep, 2018 @ 2:34pm
@Deep
It's a simple patch, it should have no issues to be added or removed from existing games.
Deep 22 Sep, 2018 @ 9:36am
Is it compatible with existing saves? It should be, right?
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 30 Nov, 2017 @ 12:17am
@Aerio
Because I only know how to edit xml files. I have no idea how to code an options menu.
Aerio 30 Nov, 2017 @ 12:15am
Why not use the in-game mod menu options to let people set how much power it should output? Or is that not possible to modify on the fly, perhaps?
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 27 Nov, 2017 @ 1:07pm
@panthineguardian

I don't plan to make any alternate versions. I'm sure everyone has a different idea on how much power it should give. The mod is set to how much I felt was appropriate considering the items rarity. I've included instructions in the description how to modify the power value so people can change it however they like with a minor edit.
panthineguardian 27 Nov, 2017 @ 8:01am
I did a similar change in my game, but found 1500 was more than fair.
This can run a modest Hospital, or workshop, but not a whole base.
Considering there is no refueling and no tech requirement, you would bypass all need for alternate power sources.
Could you perhaps do a "light" version?
