Its working mostly however when i did the quest for the staff for white clouds bro it won't let me complete it

I appreciate how you saw him, that's pretty much how I pictured him as well (basic battlemage type) and even though I didn't get around to build up my questline, I put details in my characters as much as I can. :)

ok, thanks. i was wondering what he was doing. didn't look the mage type. although he reads a lot. more than the mages. he is really interested in the new magic schools apparently, because that appears to be the only book he owns. cool character and nice name for him.

@tmurtland99 he's mainly a guardian, a tough NPC (however not essential) who was put there to add life to the college and hopefully, eventually, be a quest giver... I'm doubting I'll ever get the help needed to build the questline I had in mind however, so he's mostly decorum

@ninja_sorcerer Near Western Watchtower (whiterun) Markarth' Entrance, opposite the sawmill (Falkreath) Near the regular north Entrance (Riften) beside the stables in Windhelm and the hardest one to find is Solitude... opposite the city watermill

As far as NPCs dying, I find that it helps to set Onmund and J'zargo as essential. My main problem, though, is the timing of the first attack. It comes almost immediately after you perform the spell that Faralda asks you to do in order to gain admittance. What ends up happening is that Faralda won't light all the pillars on the bridge. While this isn't a huge issue- it does bug me after a while.

I'm also having trouble with the Sons & Daughter of the North, though in my game it's because as soon as I went to visit the college I found it being attacked by 4 of these, who killed J'zargo and Onmund. I've resurrected them with the console, but am still stuck when it comes to the college quest because now Tolfdir is greif-stricken!

The students gather, he speaks to us all, but before getting to the part where he should demonstrate the ward he gets stuck in a dialogue loop along the lines of "due to the unfortunate incident we'll just move on" with my only response option being "weren't we meant to learn some spells" or something similar.

You say the Sons shouldn't attack NPCs, I'm guessing this doesn't apply to those in the college, but can you make them essential in that case? I feel like I'm trading out the orginal mage content for yours and fingers crossed that may be worth it in future, but it isn't yet!

Unfortunately, I had to unsubscribe to this mod. I didn't want to do that -- in fact, I was really enjoying my battles with The Sons and Daughters. But there was a problem. Invariably. innocents get caught in the crossfire, and it keeps me in trouble with the guards. So I try to lure them away from the townsfolk and the caravans, but doimg THAT only compromises my ability to fight them. Whiterun and Morthal were especially problematic, and believe it or not so was the College of Winterhold. Those bounties get expensive after a while, I didn't sign up for this just so my character could go to jail. So it's bye-bye-see-ya-later.

Okay - I confirmed this 5 x's to be sure it was the 'cause/effect' - or at least the evidence seems to imply- IF you have this program installed (active) before you meet Tolfdir and the Ward Excersise, you will NOT get that far. There is (was) a fight on the grounds w/the SotN and for some reason that battle caused Tolfdir to not be able to move forward - "because of the incedent..." I unchecked - worked fine - rechecked and same problem.

Oh, and on a side note, the school by riften needs to be looked at. In the sleeping quarters, the wall meshes aren't aligned properly, spotted at least 5 spots where you can see into the void.

I've got a bit of a problem I just came across with this mod. Been carrying around the restoration staff that I went on a quest to get for the Argonian mage in the school by Whiterun. It took me till now to get my hands on a tome of Heal Other that he requests, but now that I go back to him with both the staff and the tome, he just keeps repeating the same line about the necromancers having done something to the staff and asking for a tome. Think the quest might need fixing.

I am also working on a quest-line with voice-acting, but 1) I have very poor skills at scripting and 2) I don't totally get the dialogue recording system of the game, and if it is to be done right, it's going to take me longer. I am working on miscellaneous quests regarding magical abilities for "College Assistance" in the new schools, and on a quest to deal with the sons of the north. I know the mod is in it's early stages, but since I'm not an experience modder, I wanted to start with the location layouts. I know for now the mod is a bit simplistic, but it's not my intention to keep it that way.

Thanks for the positive comments, everyone. Regarding the ennemy faction, they can be difficult at early levels, but as soon as you reach lvl 15/20, they are quite easy to deal with. Plus, they are mostly outside of cities (except whiterun and villages) and will be peaceful with the other npcs. They will also only attack you if you're part of the college; and even there, they will attack only you and not the other npcs.

Having only been to the schools in Whiterun and Morthal so far, I have to say, I really like this so far. Wasn't in the college when I got to the Morthal branch (started a new game and the random alternate start landed me closer to Morthal than any other city) but having seen the healing training room in the Whiterun school, excited to explore them each to see the training sections and the quests for each. Certainly will make select schools of magic easier to practice.

Can't find anything near Solitude, Morthal or Dawnstar. I expected to see something at the burned house near the Stormcloaks in Morthal, but it looks the same.

I have had a little trouble with this mod, but with all the radom encoutners, in conjunction with Humans Drop Human Hearts mod, by Rokenian, I have been able to level Alchemy up so fast is isn't funny.

careful with this mod. I got it, and the only thing that worked was the freaking sons of the North. And they wouldn't. Stop. Showing. Up. They would kill loads of NPC's as they tried to help me out. The schools are nonexistent, and in Whiterun, the only thing to appear are two doors that don't access anything. Solitude's Castle Dour is all but broken now, too. It took all of the Castle's model, replicated it, and moved it about 4 feet to the side. Now all the arches are much smaller, and I can't get into the kitchen to finish the Dark Brotherhood quest. Thanks for the great mod!!!

im trying to do the quest in the whiterun mage guild and i got the staff and when i bring it back to the guy he says he needs a tome of heal other, so i went and got the tome and he just keeps on saying that he needs it, there is no dialog option to say that i have said tome

is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I do like how when i went to the college for the first time it was under attack and he still saysd they "Don't expect any real violence".Though I understand of course,it would be a pain to change an entire line of dialouge just for this.

As long as the Sons and Daughters continue to kill off those annoying apprentices at the College of Winterhold, I'll be happy with whatever you come up with. They're very predictible, though. That makes them easy targets.

@ eliandinn and schaden: I'm really surprised you could start the quest itself, it was not supposed to be activated (it was a work in progress to try myself at quest creation, and I kept it as a base for when I would have found modding partner(s). Plus, I will change the Spell Tome to fix it so it won't interfere with SkyRE :)

@ Dr. Rob Compatible with all DLC since it's all from the Vanilla Game. Compatible also with Simple Vanilla gam w/o any DLC ;P

@ Takashima The Sons of the Nords are really not supposed to attack any npc nor even guards in the cities. I have not encountered that situation, and they only attack me or at worst, my followers and college mages :)

@NoLevee I agree that with little strategic skills, good players can easily defeat pretty much everything in the game. We have the power of thinking of the location from which to attack, as well as the never mentionned power "stop time" to drink a potion and eat a buffet while in fight ... ;)

Hi, very nice looking mod. I've started the Questline of the Winterun branch, "Killing the Necromancers and retriving the staff", only the NPC to turn the quest into "Fast-White-Clound" doesn't take the staff, nor does the quest complete. Is this a commen issue are am I missinf something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When the mod quest asks you to get a tome of Heal Other, that is incompatible with mods like SkyRe which has renamed that tome Healing Hands. Any way to correct that without uninstalling Skyre?

Okay - I guess I was expecting a little more - like a dialog on the specific 'focal points' - like some of the NPC at the Winterhold College - some of them can 'train you in (magic art)"? Or is this coming in the next update(s)?

I like the conflict side of it - that is a good touch and adds to the game.
