Just a commnt here. I love this mod, and am grateful that it still works even in 1.4. Without it, all my pawns end up looking too similar as I upgrade their armor to similar tiers of gear.

One minor bug, in case the author is still around: If you try to set the clothes to pure white using the makeover station (or Character Editor's dye function), they lose their appearance clothes entirely. Probably using pure white as a mask value.

is it dumb that i use this with "A RimWorld of Magic" to color-code my mages?
Ixcatl 5 Jun, 2018 @ 8:44pm
I'd rather live with my colonists' defining body types than glitched alien races, in my opinion.
Ixcatl 5 Jun, 2018 @ 8:42pm
@Jack Jagger @tammybee This is definitely caused by the body type selector. If a fix is otherwise impossible, I'd suggest removing that entirely.
Jack Jagger 1 Apr, 2018 @ 5:21am
Uh... I'm not sure what that is, not very mod-savvy :\

@Jack Jagger
Sorry, it is difficult to correspond to all of the mod.
Could you please edit "Patches/Race_Patches.xml" like this mod is compatible with Human?
Jack Jagger 31 Mar, 2018 @ 11:12am
Great mod! I finally get to have my colonists look the way I want, but have them wear what they need!
Unrelated, can you make this mod compatible with alien race framework? Or more specifically some of the races in it.
It gives them the normal model of the body type they have, like my androids would normally have a robotic looking body but now they just have the regular thin body type.
Same for orcs and fat, and with argonians I can't seem to access the clothes menu at all.

This is excellent!

Thanks. After a bit of dinking around I figured it out.

@tG-APasz 「アパゾ」
MAI is not Human, so it is necessary to edit "Patches/Race_Patches.xml" like this mod is compatible with Human for working with MAI.
APasz 13 Jan, 2018 @ 5:41am
Just wondering if there's a way to get this to work with MAI?
Averious ღ 25 Dec, 2017 @ 2:26am
No issue happens. I have both as well as many other clothing mods.
Glad to say you're mod incorporates other clothing mods.

THANKS!
LORDzEMPEROR 12 Dec, 2017 @ 1:45pm
Amazing work! Your response was so fast! This is perfect! I wish I could upvote again! Now my colonist will always be recognizable regardless of whatever grimy clothes they decide to put on!

tammybee  [author] 12 Dec, 2017 @ 8:49am
@LORDzEMPEROR
I resolved the issue that you cannot copy the colored apparel by the button "Copy from apparel".
Thank you for your report.

@Elriech
I added HSV slider and the input field of hex color code.
I parsed hex color code to color by ColorUtility.TryParseHtmlString (see also link [docs.unity3d.com]).

Sorry, a part of German translation is complemented by English translation through this update.

Hey!
I've tried the mod and it's great! The concept works well, but my main issue is it doesn't save custom coloured clothing. I agree it would be a significant improvement to add the RGB decimal. This is especially apparent after using Prepare Carefully when your colonist looks perfect upon start, but the look cannot be saved for the rest of the game. I hope you get the time to take this mod up a step! Great work anyways!
tammybee  [author] 7 Dec, 2017 @ 2:36am
@Elriech
It’s a good idea to add the decimal(hex) color code input field.
I will add it if I have time.
1stReaper 6 Dec, 2017 @ 4:12pm
nice :)
i might give this a go :D

ill have a play with it for a bit, altho ill prob go back to equiping my armor and weapons during raids,, i dont know yet XD

all in all tho the idea of the mods pretty good :), so keep up the good work
UndeadZed 6 Dec, 2017 @ 2:28pm
@1stRepear
The second part.
It changes the appearance of the clothes. So yes, you could be wearing full power armor but you could make them look like they're wearing all cowboy hats and dusters, which then you can change some sliders to make these hats and dusters look pink.

I do want to add a suggestion for lightness/saturation or just a box where could specifically type in the decimal code (hex code) of the color. Little difficult to get just the right color you're looking for.
1stReaper 6 Dec, 2017 @ 12:46pm
i agree with what agimus as said.

i dont 100% get what this mod does ?

... makes items you pick appear on your pawns???
(doesn't it already show you what clothes the pawns are equiped with ?)

... or does this mod actually change what you see
for example - you could have your pawn dressed in full power armor and helmet,,,
however this mod makes your pawn appear to wear a cowboy hat, duster, shirt and pants?
tammybee  [author] 6 Dec, 2017 @ 2:25am
@Quadrum
I finished adding german language file to Appearance clothes.
Thank you for your translation.

@tammybee Thank you for the update and fixes.

Thank you for your report.
Now, I fix the bug that the Cloth tab has disappeared from normal Human colonists.
tammybee  [author] 4 Dec, 2017 @ 7:41pm
@Arturia
I confirmed it.
I will fix it as soon as possible.
Arturia 4 Dec, 2017 @ 7:17pm
After your recent update to include Alien Races, the Cloth tab has disappeared from normal Human colonists.
tammybee  [author] 4 Dec, 2017 @ 7:07pm
@Flaren2276
Could you show me error log and mod list?
If you active a mod to add races, cloth tab may not be displayed in added races.
Flaren2276 4 Dec, 2017 @ 1:22pm
I subscribed to this cause I think its a nice little mod. But it is not appearing for me. I see in the screenshot there is the small cloth option there. But in my game it seems to not be there. Any ideas why?
Arturia 2 Dec, 2017 @ 5:17pm
Thank you for the mod and the fixes.
LORDzEMPEROR 2 Dec, 2017 @ 7:00am
Hey! This is such a great idea seperating aethetics from function! I'll give it a try, but I really think your mod ideas deserve more attention! Great work!
tammybee  [author] 1 Dec, 2017 @ 9:08pm
@Agimus
Okay, I show more descriptions.
Agimus 1 Dec, 2017 @ 7:19pm
I greatly appreciate everyone who contributes rimworld mods, but this one I passed by since there is really not a description of what it actually does and I'm not so motivated that I want to load it and play a game just to find out. There are a few virtually pointless mods out there and it's hard to tell if it's something I find personally useful or neat. May I suggest more of a description?
UndeadZed 1 Dec, 2017 @ 9:55am
@tammybee
Okay, all posted in discussion.
UndeadZed 1 Dec, 2017 @ 9:40am
@tammybee
Yes, give me a minute to post in discussion. It's large and there are errors for other mods, but they aren't important.
tammybee  [author] 1 Dec, 2017 @ 9:37am
@Elriech
Could you show me error log and mod list?
UndeadZed 1 Dec, 2017 @ 9:17am
@tammybee
I cannot use the mod on old saves, only new games. It seemed from your other comment that was supposed to be fixed. Am I mistaken? Do I still need a new save for the cloth tab to appear?

Sorry, the error occurs when you use this MOD in the middle of save.
I have finished fixing the bug and published a bugfix release.
Thank you for your report.
