I also am fan of slark items and think this set is a great model for one

I think that the poly limit could be solve with texture and bump mapping, I'm still tryng to see how to make a decent item, but if you see the polygon composition of the default items you see that they are very simple, is just good use of volume and texture. Even if you manage to solve the quality issue there is still the problem that this is too similar to the defulat set and doesn't show much appeal, keep trying nobody start this thing right (unless you get years of expirience).

I think one of the contributing factors to the quality is how stingy Valve were with Slark's item poly limits.Quite a lot fewer than I thought it would have been.

Ignore what he say, he wans't in the top hat era, brrrrrrrrrr. Anyway, I must say that the concept is cool, trying to make the pre escape armor of slark is a good idea, but I must say that you lack in quality, some parts are too plastic and flats and others are just too small, and overall, the set itself doesn't diferenciate too much of the defaul. As I say, is a good idea and I really like the shiv detail, but it need a lot of polish, if you want some references go to http://blog.dota2.com/ and see the seccion of the polycount contest winners, you can find some sugestions and points.

PD: Also, the octopus it just look too silly.
