It won't conflict with the mod, but it also doesn't use a unique city style from that mod since none would match.

Just finished a very enjoyable run playing as Alfred, grabbing divine spark, Bologna, and Anshan. Super fun playthrough, love the mod.

I have a small bug report, revolving around great works of writing. When playing as Alfred, conquered cities with holy sites, whether they were already built or subsequently built by the player, don't gain the extra slots in their buildings for great works of writing. Also, when you become suzerain of Anshan, it seems that the science bonus doesn't stack on the great works, and you actually LOSE Alfred's science bonus entirely if you lose suzerainty.

Otherwise the design is tight and all the abilities come together really coherently to make a clear path through the game. Great work as always!

I'll take the small L of a couple icons if it comes with the tremendous W of an entirely reinvigorated and updated mod. Good for you for taking the time to give the Anglo-Saxons a facelift (brand new sentence lol)

So unfortunately there are no icons for the loyalty overlay that display the civilization's icon when pressure is being exerted. Due to losing the original mod build a long time ago, if i want to retain all the 3D assets that got baked into the workshop upload, i really can't mess with the art all that much.

I'll try to add the loyalty overlay graphics at some point, if i can figure out a way to do so with the files i do have access to, but it's not a priority. I hope you can enjoy the rest of the mod fully without two loyalty graphics.

FIXED! and big update to the design to make them more powerful and worth your time. The Dark Age bonus for the Thegn was lame, now it's the Nega-Berserker, fitting for the anglo-saxon's conflict with the vikings.

The Burh is only buildable by the Thegn and Military Engineers, but it makes up for it by having fancy new yields and abilities.

The Minster is now actually one-per-city as intended. And Offa gets some diplomatic favor for holding capitals too. Bear in mind this only alleviates the negative of holding Capitals BUT you do get a positive favor gain from taking city-states.

Also slapped some new agendas in there that are more unique then the originals.

I dont know why but I actually can build Minister more than one per city. its kinda op bcz when u can choose trees or sth unimprove for maybe national park later on or sth or get +1 Great Writer point per minister. Ofc i will choose writer to better trades maybe " one per city" doesnt work

Revival of Learning

+2 Faith and +2 Science from each Great Work of Writing.

- Faith is not being received correctly, just the science points.

- It is not applying the bonus during the dark age and it is not being displayed in the unit status window.

I've been using your mod since it came up but I'm wondering if you could change the Thegn from a pikeman replacement to either spearman or the heavy infantry that is used in the new warfare expanded reloaded?

I've always felt that the Thegn comes in far too late and ends up not being that great compared to other equivalent units. The heavy infantry unit from warfare expanded seems perfect for this unit.

If it came into place earlier in the tech tree as spearman or hvy infantry it would be far more useful...

Also, love your mods in general, have you thought about doing any of the other British 'tribes', ie Celts pre-roman, welsh or picts and maybe an earlier English alternative like Henry V or Elizabeth I?

Hey there, so I subscribed and enabled this mod but the leaders aren't showing up. Not sure if I'm missing content or if I'm doing something wrong. I have Rise and Fall installed and enabled but don't have Gathering Storm if that maybe requires it?

too much power on the great work of writing, 1 science and 1 faith would be more balanced. also a free founder belief is too strong as well. Otherwise very interesting

This is a pretty good mod, tho with the release of Gathering Storm I havn't been able to play as the Anglo-Saxons because they aren't showing up in civ roster and when I start a new game as a different civ the game crashes

December 2018 Update
- Changed Thegns to grant Great Writer points during Dark Ages.
- The Minster now grants +1 Great Writer point instead of the +1 Amenity after Reformed Church.
- New backgrounds for Alfred and Offa, and art updated to Alfred.
- New Burh and Minster art. They should appear less cluttered.
- New Thegn art, making them look more unique and removing the glitchy torso.

Previously, the Anglo-Saxons received bonuses to their Great Writers without any aids in their generation. I've now given two new ways for them to generate Great Writers.

Thanks for the update, but since the new update the mod doesn't appear on my mod list even though I have subscribed to it, and I can't load my save game because of the missing mod. Might you have a solution to this, please?

I can't start a new game with this civ enabled. I tested and turned all of my mods on one at a time, and this is the only one (whether I have Aethelfled enabled with it or not) that gives me this error.

Any chance of a fix, or maybe the problem is on my end and you have an idea what what it could be?

RFormica is half correct. The music and "Dawn of Man" audio sequences are set differently, but i often forget this and end up doing both. I'll get round to fixing it.

When I started a random game and was given Offa the opening sequence had the speech as if I was Victoria. Bug?
