i would like to add my voice to those few who wish for this great mod to get updated to be compatible with ck2's final patch
Grimhat  [author] 30 Dec, 2021 @ 4:18am
If anything works, it would be pure luck at this point. And i can guarantee that there will be incompatibilities and bugs with any version of the game newer that 2.8.
Kennywnorth 29 Dec, 2021 @ 10:53am
are none of the features available or are some available and others not
Grimhat  [author] 18 Aug, 2021 @ 4:54am
Nope. This mod has not worked for 3 years. Many similar features were added to the main game back then, and it has not been worked on since.
Dark_Walker42 17 Aug, 2021 @ 9:32am
Does this work on the latest version of CK2? I installed it..it popped up in my mods list, and I don't have access to hermatic society..which is one of the features..or do I need astrology? How can I tell if this mod is working?
Goldfish #NeverForgetArmenia 24 May, 2020 @ 10:43am
Is this going to get updated ?
Grimhat  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 10:06pm
Indeed^^
CakeisGreat 30 Oct, 2019 @ 8:10pm
Well I hope for only the best for him. Hopefully he will have the time to wade back into the modding waters again. but till then I shall only wait and hope.
Grimhat  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 5:11pm
I know he is quite busy with RL stuff. He has been talking about wanting to get back into moding at some point, but I've not heard anything concrete.
CakeisGreat 30 Oct, 2019 @ 3:03pm
Can't blame you there, I was just going through some nostalgia, thinking of this mod, the male harem mod, and others that used to make CK2 just so great. On a side note does anyone know what happened to Robkenyon?
Grimhat  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 6:33am
It was indeed quite good, which was why I continued to maintain it for a while^^ Would Maybe, once CK3 is out, I'll get to create something similar myself for that game, but I doubt I'll invest the time to make one for CK2 at this point. I've already got more mods than I'm able to maintain at the moment.
CakeisGreat 29 Oct, 2019 @ 9:22am
Man this mod just popped right back into my mind for some reason, too bad it does not work with the newer versions of CK2, best mod I've seen on Norse Reform.
Grimhat  [author] 5 Jan, 2019 @ 6:22am
I won't be updating it, as a lot of work/changes would be needed to get it updated, and since it is not my mod to begin with, I'm not going to do it.

I have been talking about making my own version of the mod, though. But at this time, it is going slow as well, I'm afraid.
mjhwl05 5 Jan, 2019 @ 5:49am
any plans on updating this for holy fury?
Grimhat  [author] 2 Jan, 2019 @ 7:01am
Nope.
Deserter Dave 2 Jan, 2019 @ 1:17am
does this work now?
Grimhat  [author] 30 Nov, 2018 @ 2:08pm
Indeed.
Hound Archon 30 Nov, 2018 @ 12:12pm
As of right now, choosing "Monasticism" does not give your rebranded religion a monastic order. This is perhaps the most glaring flaw of Holy Fury (as far as I'm concerned).
Grimhat  [author] 28 Nov, 2018 @ 5:44am
Thx^^ The only society I'm currently working on/trying out is closer to a monastic order, that allows you to choose your patron deity when you join (one for each atribute) where Loki is the patron of intrigue. The society gives different bonuses and missions depending on your choosen diety, but I'm thinking about changing their design, and adding a more assassin-like society, as well as a more "generic" monastic order instead might be the better option.

And while I'm allready here, the mod is moving somewhat slow at the moment, but I hope to get a version out within the next 2-3 weeks, but no promises at this time.
RobinW00T 28 Nov, 2018 @ 2:31am
I think it's great that you decide to remake the mod from scratch. Good luck!
If i may make a suggestion: my favorite part of AotH are the new Societies.
What you could add to the list, is a society based around Loki, the god of mischief.
Maybe like the Assassins? Anything Intrigue based would fit Loki.
Thanks for rebuilding this amazing mod. As a fan of Norse Mythology this is a must have for me.
Grimhat  [author] 15 Nov, 2018 @ 4:41am
The reasons for why I will do this from scratch, instrad of updating AotH, Is that I do not want to change Rob's mod beyond mere compability and bugfixing, as well as doing it from the ground up will give me more controll and deeper understandings of all the mods features and functions.

It will be heavily inspired by AotH ofcorse, but I belive that this will lead to the mod being both more stable, as well as making changing and updating it much easier for me. More details on how the mod will be released, and it's content, will be released as I start working on it.

Any and all ideas/sugestions are welcome!^^
Grimhat  [author] 15 Nov, 2018 @ 4:41am
Not sure what I did to deserve such prais, but thx:P

Also, I've been playng the game for a few hours now, while also looking around in the game files, and the main things I might find lacking at this point, would be more events/powers related to being the head of the religion, and/or interactions with the leader in general. As well as more flavor with holy orders, as well as adding a monastic order.

With these features still lacking for my taste, I can say with a 70% certanty that I will focus on creating a new mod with a focus on expanding these features in the near future.
Hound Archon 14 Nov, 2018 @ 7:44am
You're the best.
Grimhat  [author] 13 Nov, 2018 @ 10:14am
I've just gotten back on my computer, and I'm going to start testing the new expansion, and I'll see if there are any more features/content "missing" in the expansion, and depending on my time, health, and support for the mod, I might redo a similar mod to this one from the ground up, intended to work as a enhancment to the current expansion, but that will take at least a cople of weeks:/
Grimhat  [author] 13 Nov, 2018 @ 10:11am
I'm afraid that this mod will not be updated anymore, as the new expansion contains much of the same features, as well as lots of changes that will take a while to impement/get to work with the mod.

So making the mod compatibilbe, yet alone relevant, in the new expansion will take a good amount of work, I'm afraid, and as the mod is not mine to begin with, I'm hesitant to do such large changes, both out of lack of time, and because it is not really mine to alter.

As for your save, your savegame is located inside a special folder created by this mod: "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\raven\save games. The savegame will not be compatible with the new CK2 update though, so you will need to roll back the game version if you want to contrinue your save, I'm afraid. Nothing I can do about that:/
Colborn 13 Nov, 2018 @ 9:30am
3.0? PLEASE I CANT PLAY AS A NORSE WITHOUT THIS MOD! and my savegames has been lost how do i recover?
Grimhat  [author] 5 Oct, 2018 @ 1:05pm
Happy to hear you got some use of it^^
Hound Archon 5 Oct, 2018 @ 12:14pm
Thank you for your efforts building and supporting it!

It gave me over +100 extra hours in CK2 alone long past I thought I was done with the game.
Grimhat  [author] 30 Sep, 2018 @ 7:00am
Abandon ship:P

In more detail; I'll stop supporting this mod, as many of its features will be quite similar to those added in HF, and making the mod compatible, as well as keeping it relevant with the new features, will require me to change a lot of things in the mod. And as the mod is not really mine to alter either, I'm afraid that I'll not continue supporting it:/

I do have some vague plans for creating another mod in the same line as this one though, but I would need to start from scratch. I can't promise anything before a while after HF launches, though, as I need to test stuff out, and see if I find anything I would like changed or added.

Any plans for holy fury?
Grimhat  [author] 22 Jul, 2018 @ 5:38am
I have gone trough all the events and decisions regarding the smith decision, and I can't find anything wrong from the code alone, and I don't have the time to go bug hunting in the game right now, but I have updated the artifact file to contain the lvl 4 artifact. Please feel free to test if it works now if you have the time, and report back. Would be much appreciated.^^
Grimhat  [author] 20 Jul, 2018 @ 4:19pm
I do indeed belive that the lvl 4 artifacts was implemented after I last merged the file. Though I don't know how I missed it.

I'll do a sweap over the artifact and decisions files as soon as possible, though.^^
xune_everhate 20 Jul, 2018 @ 11:36am
Hi again Grimhat.
I was tampering with the mod (I'm clueless about what I was doing) and accidentally got the "Champions of Midgardr" removed from the game, wich lead to "Search for a Smith" decision to properly work and hand me weapons once again. So definitely something in "Champions of Midgardr" is messing the "Search for a Smith".
About lvl 4 artifacts missing, well they are just not there in the 00_artifacts.txt file. Maybe Paradox implemented lvl 4 artifacts after the mod was made. Whatever the reason lvl 4 artifacts are missing in that file.
Oh and no rush! Your hard work is appreciated.
Grimhat  [author] 20 Jul, 2018 @ 6:58am
@ Xune_everhate & Vigb

I'll look into these bugs as soon as i get the time. Got quite a lot to do the next few days, but I'll try to make a update b4 the end of the weekend. Thx for the reports^^
Vigb 19 Jul, 2018 @ 11:59pm
I looked at the mod files and it seems like the mod removes all tier 4 craftable artifacts so if you manage to trigger the event to obtain your tier 4 armor from the smithing event chain the the game will try to give you an artifact wich doesn't exist and instead you get nothing, it just happened to me
xune_everhate 19 Jul, 2018 @ 9:42pm
Hi Grimhat, you asked for iffy things, here we go:
The decission "Search for a Smith" is messed up. It works fine but if you ask for a weapon you wont get one when the event ends. The "Champions of Midgardr" power "Acquire a weapon" works just fine so maybe it's the cause for "Search for a Smith" malfunction.
As a "Champions of Midgardr" member the order will kick you out whenever you become "infirm" popping a text as if you were norse (religion) no more. So maybe infirm trait code changed and the mod thinks is a religion?
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:53pm
Sisters of Frig was their names.
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:52pm
Can you tell that I did not create this mod, and have not played it enough myself?:P
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:51pm
Yep. I was talking out my ass. They exist, and they can be spawned by a decision when you are reformed, you controll the religion, and the Sisters of somthing or other (Forgotten the name) have allready been spawned. To activate the decision, you need more than 0.5 religius authority, 500 piety and 250 wealth.
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:39pm
hmmm. I might be talking out my ass. I'm looking into the files and events now.
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:35pm
Huh. Well aint that something... I had completelly forgotten about that. There are mentions of the order in event, localization and decisions files, but they do not exist as a society in the modd files.
WolfWhiteFire 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:21pm
Original mod says it is supposed to have societies called the Champions of Midgard and The Order of Vanir.
Grimhat  [author] 19 Jul, 2018 @ 1:18pm
Those are the only societies this mod ads. Are you thinking about the Hammers of Thor? If so, they are a Holy Order that should spawn shortly after reforming the faith.
Vigb 19 Jul, 2018 @ 12:26pm
I have reformed the fiath but i only have acces to the the hermetic society, the Champions of Miðgarðr and the Fellowship of Hel, i don't have acces to the other new societies
Jean Pifre 7 Jul, 2018 @ 2:49am
thank you for the answer :)
Grimhat  [author] 1 Jul, 2018 @ 3:05am
Sorry for the late response. I've been out camping for the last few days.

@nausithoos
I've not encountered that bug myself, and as you do not get it on another system, I would try deleting and resubscribing to the mod, as well as running a check on the game trough steam.

@Moneybear
To change dynasty name and shield, you need the customization DLC. I've forgotten the exact name for it right now, though.
Jean Pifre 29 Jun, 2018 @ 3:31am
dafuq when i launch the game on another pc the bug isn't here
NordenBear 28 Jun, 2018 @ 4:45pm
Quick question I hope anyone here can help with:
Anyone knows what mod, or how to do it myself, to change the Yngling dynasty into the Harfagri one seen in this picture? (link below)

Are Norwegian xD Hence why would love having that dynasty Coat of arms and name instead.

Jean Pifre 28 Jun, 2018 @ 4:31pm
bug report : i can't name commander when this mod is active. I can only name them through decisions or events. Quite sad for one of my favorite mods :,(
Grimhat  [author] 27 Jun, 2018 @ 10:25pm
Great. Thx for saving me the time^^ I'm going to add it to de description as of now, for future people with the same problem.
