I have been talking about making my own version of the mod, though. But at this time, it is going slow as well, I'm afraid.
And while I'm allready here, the mod is moving somewhat slow at the moment, but I hope to get a version out within the next 2-3 weeks, but no promises at this time.
If i may make a suggestion: my favorite part of AotH are the new Societies.
What you could add to the list, is a society based around Loki, the god of mischief.
Maybe like the Assassins? Anything Intrigue based would fit Loki.
Thanks for rebuilding this amazing mod. As a fan of Norse Mythology this is a must have for me.
It will be heavily inspired by AotH ofcorse, but I belive that this will lead to the mod being both more stable, as well as making changing and updating it much easier for me. More details on how the mod will be released, and it's content, will be released as I start working on it.
Any and all ideas/sugestions are welcome!^^
Also, I've been playng the game for a few hours now, while also looking around in the game files, and the main things I might find lacking at this point, would be more events/powers related to being the head of the religion, and/or interactions with the leader in general. As well as more flavor with holy orders, as well as adding a monastic order.
With these features still lacking for my taste, I can say with a 70% certanty that I will focus on creating a new mod with a focus on expanding these features in the near future.
So making the mod compatibilbe, yet alone relevant, in the new expansion will take a good amount of work, I'm afraid, and as the mod is not mine to begin with, I'm hesitant to do such large changes, both out of lack of time, and because it is not really mine to alter.
As for your save, your savegame is located inside a special folder created by this mod: "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\raven\save games. The savegame will not be compatible with the new CK2 update though, so you will need to roll back the game version if you want to contrinue your save, I'm afraid. Nothing I can do about that:/
It gave me over +100 extra hours in CK2 alone long past I thought I was done with the game.
In more detail; I'll stop supporting this mod, as many of its features will be quite similar to those added in HF, and making the mod compatible, as well as keeping it relevant with the new features, will require me to change a lot of things in the mod. And as the mod is not really mine to alter either, I'm afraid that I'll not continue supporting it:/
I do have some vague plans for creating another mod in the same line as this one though, but I would need to start from scratch. I can't promise anything before a while after HF launches, though, as I need to test stuff out, and see if I find anything I would like changed or added.
I'll do a sweap over the artifact and decisions files as soon as possible, though.^^
I was tampering with the mod (I'm clueless about what I was doing) and accidentally got the "Champions of Midgardr" removed from the game, wich lead to "Search for a Smith" decision to properly work and hand me weapons once again. So definitely something in "Champions of Midgardr" is messing the "Search for a Smith".
About lvl 4 artifacts missing, well they are just not there in the 00_artifacts.txt file. Maybe Paradox implemented lvl 4 artifacts after the mod was made. Whatever the reason lvl 4 artifacts are missing in that file.
Oh and no rush! Your hard work is appreciated.
I'll look into these bugs as soon as i get the time. Got quite a lot to do the next few days, but I'll try to make a update b4 the end of the weekend. Thx for the reports^^
The decission "Search for a Smith" is messed up. It works fine but if you ask for a weapon you wont get one when the event ends. The "Champions of Midgardr" power "Acquire a weapon" works just fine so maybe it's the cause for "Search for a Smith" malfunction.
As a "Champions of Midgardr" member the order will kick you out whenever you become "infirm" popping a text as if you were norse (religion) no more. So maybe infirm trait code changed and the mod thinks is a religion?
@nausithoos
I've not encountered that bug myself, and as you do not get it on another system, I would try deleting and resubscribing to the mod, as well as running a check on the game trough steam.
@Moneybear
To change dynasty name and shield, you need the customization DLC. I've forgotten the exact name for it right now, though.
Anyone knows what mod, or how to do it myself, to change the Yngling dynasty into the Harfagri one seen in this picture? (link below)
Are Norwegian xD Hence why would love having that dynasty Coat of arms and name instead.
