Yes, and no. While it's theoretically possible the way the game handles nodes means that although I can cause the wires to be more rounded, they look worse and even less realistic than they currently do. So while I am in agreement with you that their sharpness is unfortunate the alternative is actually worse and alas they must stay.
I don't think it's possible. Actually, while the sharp corners don't make sense for pantograph-using trams, they are perfectly viable for trolleybuses, since the poles can swing from side to side. So it's only a little bit unrealistic.
