Unfortunately Massis WW2-mod has been removed from the workshop.. Without it this mission is broken. Try my other upgraded Omaha scenario instead:

Im sorry I dont know why that happens. I havent tried them online myself. If you have only the required mods loaded it should be fine. Otherwise I dont know. Ive seen others on Youtube who plays online.

Hey man, this looks really promising but I'm getting problems with this and the battle of tarawa with an error message "Bad vehicle type B_LIB_USA_Backpack_Vide" every time I try to launch on our unit's server

any help or suggestions?

Hi, I have no idea why. Havent tested it on a server online yet. I know some of the idle animations stops in multiplayer, but those units are useless for the mission anyways, they are just "decoration" :)

KeKgan; Make sure you have the IFA3 mod loaded. In the editor, klick on the "props" icon and write "hedgehog" in the search bar below. It will pop up.

Yes the second mission you made is much better damage of weapons seems better just that some troops in animation on the seawall are unkillable.

Hi guys, seems like it works perfectly well for some and not so much for others. Unfortunately I cant solve individual problems for everyone. It requires high CPU and memory so you need a decent PC to run this smooth. If you have problems, maybe you need to upgrade your PC. Try to make sure that only the Required mods are loaded.

Heavy; Yes, you have a complete German area on top off the hill. Your objective is to find the Officers bunker and kill the high command.

Leon; This mission uses Massis units, they are some of the first ww2-units created for Arma 3. Some equipment doesnt match authentic stuff used on D-day.

I recommend trying my second D-day mission, see link in description above. It has better Units.

I will make some small updates to this one soon.

Also Why does it take 3 sots int ochest with a Garand. Its like someone used M1 carbine damage into Garand instead also why 1911 has 15 rounds in magazines. another things that break immersion of overall good mission.

But the audio is great and fits the scenario, I know there's ways to put audio into scenario missions but it looks difficult to achieve. As many hours as I have in Arma yet I'm still just a novice scenario creator :(

Someone wo had the same problem but fixed it by choosing some kind of "repair" option in the Arma 3 launcher. Hope it helps!

Make sure you've subscribed to all of the required mods, that should fix it. Look to the right on this page to see the "Required Items". If that doesnt fix the problem, what message do you get when trying to open it?

Its the map WW2: Omaha (I44). Its part of the I44 Terrains mod. The location I use for this scenario is on the furthest North West of the map.

To force the boats to move to the beach and unload the soldiers, do this:

Name your boat, in my case the LCVP, something like: boat1

Give the boat a DROP CARGO waypoint where you want the ramp to go down and the soldiers to exit.

In the On Activation field of the waypoint, write following:

boat1 animate["ramp_rotate",1]; 0 = [] spawn {{unassignVehicle _x ; _x action ["Eject", boat1]; sleep 1;} forEach (assignedCargo boat1);};

And youre done ;)

Not sure if necessary, but i also set the waypoints behaviour to "careless" and "full speed" and I also make the boat-driver immortal because otherwise he will get killed in about 5 sec.

To make him immortal, put this line in his "init-field":
this allowDamage false

No worries! I actually recognize some of these problems and I know your frustration. Ive added some code to many of the soldiers in ther "init" field for this mission to make them work more like they are supposed to, because the vanilla AI in this game often gives you headache.

Here are some tips!

Try this to force the enemy to stand up at all times and see you:

Name the enemy unit to something like: german1 (In their Variable Name).
In the init field of this unit, write the following: german1 setUnitPos "UP"

This forces the enemy to stand up all the time and he wont go out of the bunker.

ok...sorry...i was in the editor and tryed a missions by my own and now i know thats not your fault, its the ai in this game....

...in "fight modus" the ai allways goes down and they cannot see me and do not shoot...
...and so it comes that there is sometimes heavy action at the beach and then silence...and no heavy action all the time

I do not know what problems the game and ai have...at the editor my landing boats do not drive to the beach...or the machinegunners run out of the bunker and so on
